Car Polisher

WARNING

Never clean this tool with flammable fluids. The fumes can create a fire hazard or explosion.

•The product should only be connected to a 230 V AC, 50 Hz electrical outlet.
•Never leave the product unattended whilst it is switched on.
•If you have to leave the product unattended, even for a short while, always switch
it off.
•Keep the product out of children’s reach and do not allow children to use it.
•Never use near flammable materials or gasses.
•Inspect the mains lead regularly. Never use the product if the mains lead or plug
has been damaged in any way.
•Do not place the mains lead on or near any hot surface.
•Do not touch the product if your hands are moist or wet.
•Always wear eye protection.
•Never attempt to use this polisher as a grinder or sander.

WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and
reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the
length of time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands
below a normal comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the figures
provided in the specification relating to vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of operating
the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specification are determined according to EN60745 or similar
international standards. The figures represent normal use for the tool in normal working conditions. A
poorly maintained, incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise and
vibration. www.osha.europa.eu provides information on sound and vibration levels in the workplace
that may be useful to domestic users who use tools for long periods of time.

Applications
•The polisher is suitable for light to medium duty polishing tasks on vehicles of all kinds and other
similar surfaces.
•When the entire surface is coated, stop the machine and allow the compound or past to dry (follow
manufacturer’s guidance).
•Attach the softer polishing pad to the machine and work across the surface as before until all the
polishing compound or paste is removed.
Operating Instructions
Warning: Ensure the polisher is disconnected from the power supply before fitting or changing polishing
pads.
Grip the polisher by both hands and ensure that it is help with a firm grasp. Slide the on/off switch to the on
position.

Polishing
•Always ensure that the area to be polished is clean and dry.
•Read and understand all information supplied with your polishing compound or paste before
use.
•Apply polishing compound onto the rougher polishing pad, and place the pad against the work
surface.
•Hold the machine securely, using both hands, by the handles provided. The polishing bonnet
should lightly contact the work surface.
•Start the machine and work across the surface using a wide, sweeping motion. Apply extra
compound of paste as required.
Care and Maintenance
•Remove the polishing pads after each cleaning to allow the polishing disc to be dried.
•Use mild soap and a damp sponge to clean the polisher.
•Do not submerge any parts of the polisher in water.
•Regularly clean the ventilation slots.
•If the machine is not used for a long period, remove the polishing pads from the disc. Store the
machine with the polishing disc facing downwards.
•The polishing pads can be used more than once. The pads are machine washable but should not
be dried using a tumble-dryer.
•Always use clean and dry pads before polishing.
