1. Read all instructions before using. Save
these instructions for future reference.
2. To protect against the risk of electrical
shock, DO NOT immerse the cord, plug
or Blender Base in water or other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary
when an appliance is used by or
near children.
4. Ensure that the rating of the appliance
corresponds to that of your electrical
installation.
5. Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug
from the outlet when not in use, before
assembling or disassembling parts and
before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the
plug and pull from the outlet. Never
pull from the power cord.
6. Flashing light indicates that the
appliance is ready to operate. Avoid
any contact with the blades and
movable parts.
7. DO NOT use appliance for other than
its intended use.
8. DO NOT operate any appliance with
a damaged cord or plug or after
the appliance malfunctions, or is
dropped or damaged in any manner.
The appliance should not be repaired
or opened by an unlicensed person.
Refer to the “Our Guarantee” section
regarding the product’s warranty
before returning the appliance to the
point of purchase.
9. DO NOT use outdoors.
10. DO NOT let cord hang over edge of
table or counter or touch hot surfaces,
including the stove.
11. DO NOT place the appliance on or near
a hot gas or electric stovetop burner or
in a heated oven.
12. Keep hands and utensils, other than the
Tamper provided, out of the Blender
Jar while blending to reduce the risk
of severe injury to persons or damage
to the blender. The Lid must remain in
place when using the Tamper through
the lid opening. A scraper may be
used but only when the blender is
not running.
13. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
14. To reduce the risk of injury, never
place the Blade Assembly on the
Blender Base without the Blender
Jar attached.
15. Always operate blender with the Lid
in place.
16. The use of attachments, including
canning jars, not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause a risk of injury
to persons.
17. DO NOT process hot food and liquids.
18. This appliance is not intended for use
by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.

19. Children should not play with
the appliance.
20. Care shall be taken when handling the
sharp cutting blades, emptying the
Blender Jar and during cleaning.
21. This appliance shall not be used by
children. Keep the appliance and its
cord out of reach of children.

Technical Information
Peak Horse Power
The Paderno™ Power Blender has a
peak horsepower of 2.2, which is the
peak horsepower output of the motor,
and does not relect the operational
horsepower of the blender. Peak
horsepower is measured in laboratory
testing. During actual use, the blender
will operate at a lower rating than the
peak horsepower.
Polarized plug
This appliance has a polarized plug
(one blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock, the
plug will it in a polarized outlet only
one way. If the plug does not fully it the
outlet, reverse the plug and reinsert. If
it still does not it, contact a qualiied
electrician.
DO NOT modify the plug in any way.

Before First Use
Refer to the Cleaning & Maintenance
section of this manual. Clean the
appliance and attachments thoroughly
before irst use.
CAUTION:
1. To protect against risk of electrical
shock, DO NOT put the Blender
Base in water or other liquid.
2. The blades are very sharp. The
blade assembly is not removable.
HOW TO USE
1. Before assembling the blender,
ensure it is unplugged from the
power supply.
2. Place Blender Base on a lat, dry
surface such as a kitchen counter.
3. Attach the Blender Jar upright on
the Blender Base. The handle of the
Blender Jar can be positioned to any
corner of the appliance.
4. Add ingredients to Blender Jar as
directed by your recipe, ensuring
not to exceed the “MAX“ mark.
5. Place the Lid irmly into position on
the top of the Blender Jar.
6. Close the Lid and insert the
Measuring Cap into the Lid and
turn in either direction to lock into
position. You can use the measuring
cup to add ingredients while the
blender is running. Close the iller
hole immediately after, to avoid
splashing. Caution! NEVER operate
the blender empty. DO NOT blend
hot liquids.
7. Insert the power plug into a 120V
power supply outlet.
8. Press the Power Button. The LED
light will illuminate and Digital
Display Screen will be visible.
9. Pre-set Functions
a) There are 4 pre-set functions
including Smoothie, Crushed Ice,
Soup and the Self-
Cleaning Cycle.

when each pre-
set is selected (as
shown in Fig. 9a).
Smoothie: For
making blended

blends and

Self-Cleaning
Cycle: Run this cycle with half a jar
of water and a couple cubes of ice
to quickly rinse the jar and blade.

10. Manual Program
a) Select the Manual program and
click the Dynamic
Control Dial, shown
in Fig. 10a.
b) The default
speed is the
minimum speed
setting. There are 10 speed settings,
from 1 (minimum speed) to 10
(maximum speed). Adjust the speed
setting by turning the Dynamic
Control Dial and
click the dial to
select the setting,
shown in Fig. 10b.
The speed can be
adjusted at any
time, even during blending.
c) Press the Start/Pause Button to
begin blending. Once blending
has begun, the timer will count
up from 0:00 while the blender
is in operation. The blender will
automatically stop after 2 minutes.
To continue blending, press the
Start/Pause Button.
d) To pause the blending,
click the Start/Pause
Button, shown in Fig. 10d.

or pushing the ingredients
down with the Tamper.
e) To stop the blender manually, press
the Start/Pause Button, or click and
hold the Dial for 2 seconds, or press the
Power Button.

or right until the symbol for your
desired pre-set appears on the
Digital Display Screen and then
click the dial to select the pre-set.
Then select the Level (1, 2 or 3) to
determine the blending time.
The pre-set can be reset by clicking
and holding the Dial for 1 second.
c) Press the Start/Pause Button,
shown in Fig. 9c, to begin blending.
d) During blending, press the Start/
Pause Button to pause the blending
to add ingredients or
use the Tamper to push
ingredients onto the
blade. Press the Start/
Pause Button again to
continue blending.
e) During blending, turn the dial to
increase or decrease the time, if
necessary.
f) When the timer reaches “0:00”
the blending will stop and the
blender will enter “Standby” mode.
CAUTION: Keep hands and utensils
out of the Blender Jar while
blending to prevent the possibility
of severe injury to persons or
damage to the unit.
A scraper may be used but only
when the unit is not in use.

Blending Guidelines
• Add ingredients to Blender Jar a
little at a time to ensure proper
blending and prevent overlow.
• Never ill the Blender Jar more than
3/4 full. The action of the Blade will
cause the ingredients to rise in the
Blender Jar. For large quantities,
make in several batches.
• Unless the recipe states dierently,
pour liquid ingredients into Blender
Jar before solid ingredients. The
liquid will help the processing go
faster and at a lower speed.
• Do not remove the Blender Jar from
the Blender Base when the motor
is running. Keep hands and utensils
out of Blender Jar while processing
to prevent the possibility of severe
personal injury and/or damage to
the blender.
• Thick mixtures require special
attention during processing.
Periodically pause the blending to
scrape the mixture o the sides of
the Blender Jar and onto the Blade.
Select a higher speed setting if
processing becomes sluggish.
• With the Measuring Cap removed,
add solids and ice a little at a time
through the hole in the Lid.
• Always cut solid foods, such as
vegetables and cheeses, into
small chunks before placing in the
Blender Jar.
11. Pulse Button
Ideal for processing foods that need
sudden bursts of power, for a short
period of time. Press and hold the
Pulse Button to process food. When
the button is released, the blender
will return to the previous setting.
The Pulse function can be used at
any time when the power is on. The
maximum operating time for the
Pulse function is 1 minute.
12. Overload Protection System
The blender has an overload
protection system to prevent
damage to the motor. If the blender
is overheated, the blender will
stop and “Cooling” will appear on
the screen. The cooling timer will
count down from 20 minutes (1200
seconds). The Start/Pause Button
cannot be activated during cooling.
After the blender has cooled,
unplug it to reset, and then the
blender can be used again.
13. Sleep Mode
Sleep Mode is activated if no action
is taken for 2 minutes. The Dynamic
Control Dial and Digital Display
Screen will turn o. Press any
button, turn the dial or click the dial
to illuminate the screen.

Note: Blender Jar, Lid, Tamper and
Measuring Cap are dishwasher safe.
Self-Cleaning Pre-set Function
1. Fill the Blender Jar halfway with
water.
2. Add a few ice cubes or a couple
drops of soap to the water.
3. Select and start the Self-Cleaning
Pre-set.
4. Thoroughly rinse the jar to remove
all soap.
Quick Cleaning of the
Blender Jar and Blade
1. Pour warm water into the Blender
Jar.
2. Add a few drops of dish detergent.
3. Mix water and detergent by
pressing the PULSE button.
4. Thoroughly rinse the jar to remove
all soap.
Thorough Cleaning of the
Blender Jar and Blade
Note: The Blade Assembly is not
removable.
Caution! Handle with care. The blades
are very sharp.
1. Remove the Lid and Measuring Cap.
2. Rinse the Blade Assembly with
water and dish detergent.
3. Wash the Lid, Measuring Cap and
Blender Jar in the dishwasher for
thorough cleaning.
Cleaning the Blender Base and
User Interface
Warning! Never immerse the Blender
Base or power cord in water or any
other liquid.
1. Turn the blender o and unplug the
power cord.
2. Clean by wiping the Blender Base,
user interface and power cord with
a damp cloth.
3. Dry immediately by wiping with a
dry, soft cloth.
4. Re-coil the power cord in the cord
storage area in the bottom of the
Blender Base.
Note: Always correctly assemble clean
blender parts before storing on the
blender base. Severe injury can result if
blender is accidentally turned on when
not properly assembled.
Disposal of Appliance
DO NOT dispose of this product in
household waste. Many parts of this
product are recyclable. Dispose of
as per the requirements of your local
municipality.

Starting from the date of purchase, Paderno
warrants that your Kitchen Appliance is free
from any manufacturing defects in materials
or workmanship for a period of 2 years.
This warranty is only oered on Paderno
appliances sold and used in Canada. The
Paderno warranty covers all costs related
to restoring the proven defective product
through the repair or replacement of any
defective part and necessary labour so that
it conforms to its original speciications.
A replacement product may be provided
instead of repairing a defective product at
Paderno’s discretion.
The Paderno warranty does not apply
to appliances that have been used
commercially or in non-household
applications. The warranty does not cover
damages resulting from misuse or abuse of
the product and/or uses inconsistent with
this Use and Care manual, attempts at repair,
theft, use with unauthorized attachments
or failure to follow the instructions provided
with the product. This warranty becomes
void if attempts at repair are made by
non-authorized third parties and/or if
spare parts, other than those provided by
Paderno, are used. You may also arrange
for service after the warranty expires at an
additional cost. There are no other express
warranties except as set forth herein
and any applicable implied warranties
of merchantability and itness (or those
provided for by law) are limited in duration
to the period of coverage of this express
written limited warranty.
