¾Pre-setting used the phone keypad:
With the installation done, users can pre-setting the respective parameters that
used the phone keypad. Please refer to the below table:

Get the
current IP
address
Local IP
1. With handset hung or press handfree, press this button
to indicate local IP address with voice prompt.
2. If local IP address is 0.0.0.0, which indicate pa168X
phone used DHCP to get the IP address and DHCP
process failed.
3. If local IP address is 255.255.255.255, which indicate
pa168X phone used PPPoE or dial-up modem to get
the IP address and dialup failed.
Change the
type of get the
IP address
1234+X+LOCAL IP
4. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press X+LOCAL IP key
to change the type of get the IP address:
X 0—Static IP;1—DHCP;2-PPPoE;3—modem

5. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press the required static
IP address xxx.xxxx.xxx.xxx, please used * key
replace ·key. Then press LOCAL IP key.
With the pre-setting done, users can chose Menu or HTTP or Telnet orders
according the preference of each, and set the respective parameters. Details
may refer to the related chapters in the manual.
¾The regular operations with the phone keypad:
Users can do regular operations that used the phone keypad. Please refer to
the below table:

1. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press 4+ Local IP key，
PA168X will unregistered from the system and
disconnect the PPPoE or modem dial-up connect that
if PA168X uesd the PPPoE or modem dial-up to get
the IP address.
Reload the
backup
settings
1234+Y+ Local IP
2. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press Y+ Local IP key
to reload the backup settings:
Y=5—No.1 backup setting; 6—No. 2 backup setting;
7—No.3 backup setting; 8—No.4 backup setting.
Re-dialup
the modem
1234+9+Local IP
3. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press 9+ Local IP key to
re-dialup the modem.
Reboot 1234+10+ Local IP
4. With handset hung or press handfree, press default
password such as 1234, and press 10+ Local IP key to
reboot PA168X phone.
