2. General safety regulations
The following safety regulations are to be read completely and diligently prior to installing/com-
missioning the device and afterwards kept in a safe place near the device. Reading the instruction
manual is no substitute for knowing and following all valid local safety regulations and rules. Persons
assigned to the commissioning of equipment must be properly trained. Furthermore, the assigned
persons are responsible for, and are to guarantee, the safe setup and use of the equipment.

wattage is consistent with the voltage and wattage indicated on the device.
• the product is only allowed to be assembled and mounted when disconnected from the power supply.
• pull only the plug, never the wire, when unplugging the device.
• objects are not allowed to be placed on top of the power and signal cords of the device.
• the electrical cables are to be installed so that they are protected from damage due to foot
traf c pinching and tensile load.
• ensure that all devices interconnected via signal wires are operated with CEE sockets on a
common protective ground.
In order to reduce the risk of re or electrical shock,
• the product is not allowed to be exposed to moisture or humidity.
(Exception: versions with an appropriate IP protection class).
• no objects (e.g. bottles) lled with liquid are allowed to be placed on top of the device.

NOTICE
AES/EBU stubs and the output on the last unit must be terminated.
The DANTE INTERFACE - PAN NET is an audio network bridge for integrating Pan Beam speakers with an
AES/EBU input into a Dante audio network. The Pan Beam speakers can be con gured and monitored
from a PC with installed “Pan Beam Setup” software which is located in the same IP network. The Dante
Controller software is required for setting up the interface. It can be obtained from www.audinate.com.
The Pan Net Interface consists of a high-quality aluminum enclosure, providing two Dante ports (primary
and secondary), as well as a Pan Net port. Via the Dante Interface, the connected Pan Beam speakers
can be supplied with two digital audio signals (AES/EBU). The DANTE INTERFACE - PAN NET can be run
both in daisy chain mode as well as in redundant mode. It supports sampling rates of 44.1 to 96 kHz.
The interface is also available in a weather-protected version for top hat rail mounting.

7.1. Setup
The active speakers with AES/EBU interface
from Pan Acoustics are to be set up via the
„Pan Beam Setup“ software. The Dante
Controller software from Audinate must
be installed for access to a Dante net-
work. After successful installation, the
Dante interface appears in the bottom
line of the „Pan Beam Setup” software.
The Dante Controller can be launched via
the “Interface” menu item in the „Pan
Beam Setup” program.
The Dante Controller software in its latest
version must be properly installed. Link for
download: https://www.audinate.com
7.2. Routing
In the Dante network, a Pan Acoustics
speaker appears under the “Dante
Receivers” tab. The speaker features two
inputs, Input A and Input B.
For audio routing, the relevant connection
is to be set between the desired Dante
transmitter and the Pan Beam speaker.
Via the “Pan Beam Setup” software,
the relevant audio source of the speak-
er is also to be activated (Input A and /
or Input B).
7.3. Device Confi g
The Dante interface allows to adjust var-
ious settings of the Pan Acoustics speak-
ers via the “Device Con g” tab.

7.4. Network Confi g
The DANTE INTERFACE - PAN NET
supports the “switched” and“redundant”
modes in the Dante network.
Switched:
If the DANTE INTERFACE - PAN NET is set
to “switched”, an additional Dante device
can be connected on the secondary port,
e.g. a stage box, and operated in the
Dante network.
Redundant:
If the DANTE INTERFACE - PAN NET is
set to “redundant”, the Pan Beam speak-
er can be connected to the redundant-
ly-con gured Dante network via a sec-
ond network cable.
7.5. Status
Via the “Status” tab, information can
be called up on the device, rmware
and software version, clock status and
network interface.
8. Transport and storage
The product is to be transported with care to prevent any damage that would impair its function.
The product is designed for both indoor and outdoor applications. Prolonged storage in liquids, e.g.
water, is to be avoided.

9. Maintenance and care
The accessory may show signs of wear over time, e.g. due to mechanical loads, corrosion or improp-
er handling. Therefore, for permanent installations, check at regular intervals for signs of wear and
inspect the contact of the cables in the connector sockets.
When performing inspections, it is particularly important to watch out for deformations, cracks,
notches, damage (on threads, cables and connectors) and corrosion. The power voltage on the power
supply is also to be checked.
If the check reveals uncertainties or damaged parts, the accessories may no longer be used.
The operator/user is required to be familiar with country-speci c comprehensive testing regulations
and to apply them.
10. Disposal
The product is to be disposed of according to existing national regulations.
Please ensure that the product cannot be re-used or used for any other purpose after disposal.
The declaration of conformity for the relevant product from the Pan Beam series can be re-
quested from Pan Acoustics.
