Thank you for choosing a product from Pan Acoustics.
This document describes how to connect Pan Speaker series products to existing
power amplifi ers.
Please read this document carefully prior to startup in order to guarantee fault-free
operation.
1. Introduction
This symbol provides important instructions for proper handling
of the product. Failure to observe this instruction may lead to
damage to the product or malfunctions.
1.1. Symbols and explanation
This symbol indicates a hazard with a high level of risk. If this
hazard is not prevented, severe injuries or death may result.

death may result.
This symbol indicates a hazard with a moderate level of risk.
Failure to observe this instruction may lead to minor injuries or
property damage.
1.2. General information and target group
All specifi cations in this document are based on the product features available at the
time of production and the safety rules applicable at that time.
This document describes how to connect the Pan Speaker series to suitable power
amplifi ers.
It is geared towards systems technicians and persons assigned the task of install-
ing and operating the products. The installation is only allowed to be carried out by
qualifi ed personnel.
Pan Acoustics reserves the right to make changes and modifi cations without prior
notice within the scope of statutory regulations and product improvements.
This document and all additional information required for operation
must be read prior to use by all persons involved in commissioning.
The document and all additional information required must be kept within reach,
near the device.
All necessary information and documents can be obtained from the Pan Acoustics
website, www.pan-acoustics.de, or per email from contact@pan-acoustics.de.
In order to prevent electrical shock,
• the product is not allowed to be connected to the mains supply.
• the product is only allowed to be used with an intact connection cable.
• never pull the cable.
• objects are not allowed to be placed on top of the connection cables.
• the connection cables are to be installed so that they are protected from dam-
age due to foot traffi c, pinching and tensile load.
• it must not be possible to touch the connections during operation.
• always insert stripped cable ends completely into the openings of the terminal
connection so that bare wires cannot be touched.
• on speakers with multi-pin connection, carefully screw the stripped cable ends
into the plug connectors.
• on speakers with fi ve-pin connector cables, only use the leads (-) and those
providing the desired power tap P = 100%, P = 50%, P = 25%, P = 12.5%.
Unused leads must be properly protected (shrink tubing) against touching or
short circuit.

PAN SPEAKER SERIES CONNECTOR PINOUT
2.1. Pi version (low impedance) / 100 V
The Pi version is equipped with a two-pin / fi ve-pin connector panel.
2.2. R version (Speakon NL4)
The R version is equipped with a Speakon NL 4 connector and a switch. The switch
enables a signal tap toggle between the leads 1 +/- or 2 +/-.
2.3. IP 54 version (low impedance)
IP 54 version with fi xed connection cable

The two-pin connectors are switched in
parallel for connecting additional speakers
on the line.
Note:
The P 01-Pi has one two-pin connector.
