6. Optical Pick-up Self-Diagnosisand Replacement /
Procedure
6.1. Self-diagnosis
Theoptical pick-up self-diagnosisfunction and tiltadjustmentcheck function have been
includedinthisunit. Whenrepairing, use thefollowing procedurefor effective self-diagnosisand
tiltadjustment. Besuretouse theself-diagnosisfunctionbeforereplacing theoptical pick-up
when“NODISC”isdisplayed. Asaguideline, you shouldreplace theoptical pick-up whenthe
valueofthelaserdrive currentismorethan70(DVD), 55(CD).
Note:
Press theStandby/on button toturn on thepower, and check thevaluewithinthree minutes
beforetheunitwarmsup. (Otherwise, theunitwill beincorrect.)
