► Disposal of the rechargeable battery
DANGER
The rechargeable battery is exclusively for use with
this trimmer. Do not use the battery with other
products.
Do not charge the battery after it has been removed
from the product.
• Do not throw into fire or apply heat.
Do not solder, disassemble or modify the battery.
• Do not let the positive and negative terminals of
the battery get in contact with each other through
metallic objects.
• Do not carry or store the battery together with
metallic jewelry such as necklaces and hairpins.
• Never peel off the tube.

Perform the following steps to charge the trim m er if it seem s to
lose the speed.
Turn off the trim m er and
insert it in the AC adaptor
tightly without any gaps.
• Insert the main bod firm l into the
AC adaptor.
Not doing so will not charge the
trimmer.
• W ipe off an water droplets or dirt
on the appliance socket.

Put the power plug into a household outlet.
• The charge indicator lam p glows red.
• C harging is com pleted after approx. 8 hours.
• W hen charging the trim mer for the first tim e or when it has
not been in use for m ore than 6 months, the charge
indicator lamp m a not glow for a few minutes, or the
operating tim e m a shorten. Please charge it for m ore than
16 hours in such cases.

3 Disconnect the power plug after charging is
completed.
• To keep charging the batter will not affect batter
performance.
• You can charge the batter before it is com pletel
discharged. However, it is recom m ended to charge when
the batter is com pletel discharged.
• Recom mended ambient tem perature for charging is
0 - 35 °C. The batter ma not charge properl or not at all
under extrem e low or high temperatures.
• The charge indicator lamp glows and sta s on until the
power plug is disconnected from a household outlet.
• A full charge supplies enough pow er for approxim atel
34 m inutes of use.
Note
You cannot operate the trim m er w hile charging.
Using the comb attachment
• Make sure that the trim m er is turned off.
1 Turn the dial to the “1” position.
2 Mount the com b attachment to
the main body until it clicks.
3 Turn the dial to the desired indicator (between
1 mm and 10 mm).

• W hen trim ming a short beard, it is effective to increase the
num ber of trim m ing tim es in order to keep the beard uniform at
the desirable length.
• It can also be used w ithout the com b attachment.

• Actual hair length w ill be a little longer than the height ou set.

Using the trimmer

• Make sure there is no dam age to the blade.
• We recom mend using the trim m er in an am bient temperature
range of 0 - 35 °C. If used outside this range, the appliance ma
stop operating.
Dry trimming
► Trimming with the com b attachm ent
• Do not use w hen the beard is wet.
A w et beard ma stick to the skin or bunch up, making it difficult
to trim.
1 Mount the com b attachm ent and adjust the dial.
(See page 9.)
2 Slide the power switch to the “ I
position to turn on the trimmer.
3 Hold the trim m er with the power
switch facing upward, and cut the
beard by m oving the trim m er back
against the flow of the beard.
• Hair trimm ings ma collect inside the
attachment when a large volum e of beard is
cut, so discard hair trim mings after each use

Place the trim m er at a right angle to our
skin with the power switch facing
downward and trim around our

switch facing outward, taking care not to
cut too much.

Shaping the hair around your ears
Trim the hair around our ears b holding the
main bod sidewa s.
• To m aintain sharpness, remove the hair
trim mings between trim mings.
• It is recom mended to ask someone else to
trim around our own ears and neckline.
• Trim ming our beard or m oustache without an attachment will
trim hair length to approx. 0.5 mm.

Apply water, facial cleanser, or shaving cream
to your face.
Slide the power switch to the “ I
position to turn on the trimmer.
3 Cut your beard slowly from the
bottom up.
Wet trimming
► Trimming without the com b attachment
• Cut our beard or vellus hair w hile appl ing water, facial
cleanser, or shaving cream on our face.
• W et trim m ing will decrease the friction, allowing a smooth touch.
• W et trim m ing is recom m ended to trim a fuller beard to a length of
0.5 m m w ithout an attachment.
Notes
• Do not use facial cleanser containing scrubbing com pounds as
it m a cause the blade to clog.
• Make sure to lubricate the blade after using it with facial
cleanser or shaving cream . (See page 13.)
• Make sure to rinse the main bod w ith water and appl the oil
to the blades after w et trim ming.

Cleaning the trimmer

Please clean after ever use.
Before cleaning
1. Remove the trim m er from the AC
adaptor.
• Make sure that the trim m er is
turned off.
2. Remove the comb attachment.
3. Hold the main bod , place our
thumb against the blades and then
push them awa from the main bod .
Cleaning with water
1. Clean the trimmer, the blade
and the com b attachm ent with
running water.
• Rinse w ith w ater and shake
up and down several tim es to
remove the water.
2. W ipe off the w ater with a towel
and let it dr naturall .
• It w ill dr faster w ith the blade
removed.
3. Appl the oil to the blade after
dr ing.(See page 13.)
4. Attach the blade and com b
attachm ent to the trim mer.
Cleaning with the brush
1. Brush off an hair trimmings from the
main bod and from around the blade.
2. Brush an hair trim mings out from
between the stationar blade and
the m oving blade w hile pressing
down the cleaning lever to raise the
m oving blade.
3. Appl the oil to the blade.
4. Attach the blade and com b attachm ent to the trimmer.
