1. Turn off thepowersupply. Using a10 , 10Wresistor, connect bothendsof
powersupplycapacitors(C608,625,707,714) inordertodischargethevoltage.
2. Beforeturning thepowersupplyon, aftercompletion ofrepair, slowlyapply
theprimaryvoltagebyusing apowersupplyvoltagecontrollertomake sure
that theconsumedcurrentat 50/60 HzinNOSIGNALmodeshouldbeshown
belowwithrespect tosupplyvoltage230 V/240 V.

3. About the Protection Circuitry
Theprotection circuitrymay have operatedifeitherofthefollowing conditionsis
noticed:
*Nosound isheard whenthepowerissupplied.
*Sound stopsduring aperformance.
Thefunctionsofthiscircuitryistopreventcircuitrydamage, for example, the
positive and negative speakerconnection wires are“shorted”, or ifspeaker
systemswithanimpedandeless thantheindicatedratedimpedance ofthisunit
areused.
Ifthisoccurs, followtheprocedureoutlinedbelow:

1. Press theSTANDBY /ONbutton, switchtoSTANDBY mode.
2. Determinethecause oftheproblemand correct it.
3. Press theSTANDBY /ONbutton once again, supplythepower.
Note:
Whentheprotection circuitryfunctions, theunitwill notoperate unless the
STANDBY /ONbutton isfirst switchedSTANDBY and thenONagain.
