By connecting your peripheral devices to the Mini Port Replicator, you can save yourself the trouble of
having to connect or disconnect several cables every time you transport the computer.

Precautions/Vorsichtsmaßnahmen/Précautions d’utilisation
Do not place metal objects or containers of
liquid on top of the Mini Port Replicator
If paper clips, coins, or other metal objects, or
water or other liquid spills, get inside the Mini
Port Replicator, fire or electric shock may result.
Immediately unplug the AC cord and remove
the Mini Port Replicator from the computer.
Then, contact your technical support office.
If these malfunction occurs, immediately
unplug theAC cord and remove the Mini Port
Replicator from the computer
• The computer is damaged
• A foreign object is inside computer
• Smoke is emitted
• An unusual smell is emitted
• The computer is unusually hot
Continuing to use the Mini Port Replicator
while any of the above conditions are present
may result in fire or electric shock.
If a malfunction occurs, immediately unplug the
AC cord and remove the Mini Port Replicator
from the computer. Then, contact your technical
support office.
Do not touch the Mini Port Replicator and
cable during an electrical storm
Electric shock may result.
Do not connect a telephone line, or a network cable
other than the one specified, to the LAN port
If the LAN port is connected to a network such as the
ones listed below, a fire or electric shock may result.
• Networks other than 100BASE-TX or
10BASE-T
• Phone lines (IP phone (Internet Protocol
Telephone), conventional external telephone
lines, internal phone lines (on-premise
switches), digital public phones, etc.)
Avoid Liquids, Humidity, Dust and Oil smoke
Continuing to use the Mini Port Replicator
while any of the above conditions are present
may result in fire or electric shock.
Do not leave the Mini Port Replicator in the
car under flaming sun for a long period of time.
The heat may damage the container and some
parts inside the Mini Port Replicator.
Continuing to use the Mini Port Replicator
under such a condition may cause a short circuit
or insulation malfunction etc, which may result
in a fire or electric shock.

Portreplikators noch daran angeschlossene
Kabel.
Es besteht Stromschlaggefahr.
Schließen Sie niemals Telefonkabel oder von

Netzwerkkabel an den LAN-Anschluss an.
Falls Sie den LAN-Anschluss mit einem
anderen Netzwerk (wie mit den nachstehend
aufgeführten) verbinden, besteht Brand- und
Stromschlaggefahr.

• L’ordinateur est endommagé
• Un corps étranger se trouve dans l’ordinateur
• Fumée
• Odeur anormale
• Anormalement chaud
L’utilisation du Mini Duplicateur de Ports
lorsque l’une des conditions ci-dessus est
présente pourrait entraîner un incendie ou une
décharge électrique.
En cas de dysfonctionnement, mettez
immédiatement l’ordinateur hors tension et
débranchez le cordon de la prise, puis déconnectez
le Mini Duplicateur de Ports de l’ordinateur.
Contactez ensuite l’assistance technique.
Ne touchez pas le Mini Duplicateur de Ports
ou les câbles en cas d’orage.
Vous risquez de vous électrocuter.
Ne connectez pas au port pour réseau local
un câble téléphonique ou un câble réseau
autre que ceux spécifiés.
La connexion pour port de réseau local à un des
réseaux répertoriés ci-dessous pourrait entraîner
un incendie ou une décharge électrique.
• Réseaux autres que 100BASE-TX ou 10BASE-T
• Lignes téléphoniques : téléphones IP (Internet
Protocol), lignes téléphoniques classiques,

téléphones publiques numériques, etc.

Connecting
1 Turn the computer off.
Do not connect the Mini Port Replicator in
standby or hibernation mode.
2 Connect the Mini Port Replicator to the connec-
tor of the computer with "This side up" facing
upwards.
Disconnecting
1 Turn the computer off.
Do not disconnect the Mini Port Replicator in
standby or hibernation mode.
2 While pushing the Mini Port Replicator's lock
button, pull the Mini Port Replicator out straight.
You cannot use the LAN port or the external display port on the computer when the
Mini Port Replicator is connected to the computer. Connect the LAN cable, the ex-
ternal display cable, or the AC adaptor to the ports or jack on the Mini Port Replicator.
If devices connected to USB ports (2a, 2b, 2c) does not operate:
· In the case of devices with consumption voltage exceeding 100 mA, or devices for
which the consumption voltage cannot be confirmed, connect via USB port 1 or the
computer’s USB port.
· Try disabling the power saving function on the USB 2.0 hub. For information about
enabling/disabling the power saving function, refer to the computer’s Operating
Instructions.
When you use the computer that [USB Port] is displayed in [Advanced] menu of the
Setup Utility, confirm that [USB Port] is set to [Enable].
For more information about the settings and preparations of the peripheral devices,
refer to the peripheral devices' own operating instructions.
CAUTION
(For information about the position of the Mini Port Replicator
connector, refer to the computer’s Operating Instructions.)

Anschließen
1 Schalten Sie den Computer aus.
Schließen Sie den Mini-Portreplikator nicht an,
wenn die Bereitschafts- oder Ruhefunktion
aktiviert ist.
2 Verbinden Sie den Mini-Portreplikator mit dem
Anschlussstecker des Computers, so dass der
Aufkleber „This side up“ nach oben zeigt.
Entfernen
1 Schalten Sie den Computer aus.
Trennen Sie den Mini-Portreplikator nicht vom
Gerät, wenn die Bereitschafts- oder
Ruhefunktion aktiviert ist.
2 Drücken Sie den Sperrknopf mit den Mini-
Portreplikator und ziehen Sie den Mini-
Portreplikator gerade heraus.
VORSICHT
Wenn der Mini-Portreplikator an den Computer angeschlossen ist, verbinden Sie das
LAN-Kabel, das Kabel des externen Displays oder das Netzteil an die Ports oder
Buchsen am Mini-Portreplikator. Sie können nicht den LAN-Port oder den Port für
das externe Display des Computers verwenden.
Wenn die an die USB-Steckbuchsen (2a, 2b, 2c) angeschlossenen Geräte nicht
funktionieren:
· Geräte mit einem Stromverbrauch von mehr als 100 mA oder Geräte, deren
Stromverbrauch nicht festgestellt werden kann, schließen Sie an der USB-
Steckbuchse 1 oder an der USB-Steckbuchse des Computers an.
· Versuchen Sie, die Energiesparfunktion am USB 2.0-Hub zu deaktivieren.
Informationen zum Aktivieren/Deaktivieren der Energiesparfunktion finden Sie in
der BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG des Computers.
Wenn Sie den Computer verwenden, für den im Menü [Advanced] der Setup Utility
die Option [USB Port] angezeigt wird, vergewissern Sie sich, dass [USB Port] auf die
Einstellung [Enable] gesetzt ist.

Connexion
1 Éteignez l’ordinateur.
Ne raccordez pas le Mini Duplicateur de Ports
en mode de veille ou d’hibernation.
2 Raccordez le Mini Duplicateur de Ports au
connecteur de l’ordinateur en veillant à ce que
le côté marqué « Ce côté vers le haut » soit tourné
vers le haut.
Déconnexion
1 Éteignez l’ordinateur.
Ne déconnectez pas le Mini Duplicateur de Ports
en mode de veille ou d’hibernation.
2 Tout en appuyant sur le bouton de verrouillage
du Mini Duplicateur de Ports, tirez bien droit
sur le Mini Duplicateur de Ports pour le retirer.
Si le Mini Duplicateur de Ports est connecté à l’ordinateur, raccordez le câble de réseau
LAN, le câble d’affichage externe ou l’adaptateur C.A. aux ports ou fiches sur le Mini
Duplicateur de Ports. Vous ne pouvez pas utiliser le port LAN ou le port d’affichage
externe sur l’ordinateur.
Si les périphériques connectés aux ports USB (2a, 2b, 2c) ne fonctionnent pas :
· Dans le cas d’appareils dont la tension consommée dépasse 100 mA, ou d’appareils
pour lesquels la tension consommée ne peut être vérifiée, raccordez par le port USB
1 ou par le port USB de l’ordinateur.
· Essayez en désactivant la fonction d’économie d’énergie sur le concentrateur USB
2.0. Pour plus d’informations sur l’activation/désactivation de la fonction d’économie
d’énergie, reportez-vous aux INSTRUCTIONS D’UTILISATION de l’ordinateur.
Si vous utilisez un ordinateur sur lequel [USB Port] s’affiche dans le menu [Advanced] de
Setup Utility, vérifiez que [USB Port] est réglé sur [Enable].

●ミニポートリプリケーター接続時、電源コード、LAN ケーブル、外部ディス
プレイケーブルは、ミニポートリプリケーターに接続してください。パソコ
ン本体のLAN コネクター、外部ディスプレイコネクターは使用できません。
●USB ポート（2a、2b、2c）に接続した機器が動作しない場合：
・機器の消費電流が100 mA 以下であることを確認してください。消費電流
が100 mA を超える、または消費電流がわからない機器は、USB ポート1
またはパソコン本体のUSB ポートに接続してください。
・USB2.0 ルートハブの省電力機能を無効にしてみてください。有効／無効を
切り替える方法については、パソコン本体の『操作マニュアル』の「USB
機器を接続する」をご覧ください。
●セットアップユーティリティの「詳細」メニューに[USBポート]が表示され
ているパソコンをお使いの場合は、[USBポート]が[有効]になっていること
を確認してください。

3.ご贈答品等で本保証書に記入の販売店で無料修理をお受けになれない

4.保証期間内でも次の場合には原則として有料にさせていただきます。
(イ)使用上の誤り及び不当な修理や改造による故障及び損傷
(ロ)お買い上げ後の輸送、落下などによる故障及び損傷
(ハ)火災、地震、水害、落雷、その他天災地変及び公害、塩害、ガス
害（硫化ガスなど）、異常電圧、指定外の使用電源（電圧、周波

合、あるいは字句を書き替えられた場合
(ト)持込修理の対象商品を直接修理窓口へ送付した場合の送料等はお
客様の負担となります。また、出張修理を行った場合には、出張
料はお客様の負担となります。
5.本書は日本国内においてのみ有効です。
6.本書は再発行いたしませんので大切に保管してください。
