Quick Setup Guide

Step 1:
Modify the Worksurface
a. Use the Template provided
b. Locate suitable area on Worksurface to position the Flushmount
c. Square the Template to the Worksurface, and tape corners to hold in
place
d. Using the Template as guide, drill the (8) pilot holes and cut the square
opening
e. Remove Template when Worksurface modification is complete

Step 2:
Mount the Fixture Plate to the Worksurface
a. Place the Fixture Plate over the modified Worksurface
b. Use the screws supplied to secure the Fixture to the Worksurface (holes
on the Fixture Plate will align with the 8 pilot holes from Step 1)
TIP: On the underside of the
Fixture is a communications
wire that runs along the
opening. Be sure not to
pinch the wire between the
Fixture Plate and
Worksurface.

Step 3:
Secure the PAT4.0 Tool Head to the Tool Cage
a. Remove the clamping
piece (unfasten the thumb
screws)
b. Place the PAT4.0 Tool
Head in the housing
c. Reattach the clamping
piece and hand-tighten the
thumb screws

Step 3 (continued):
When the Tool Head is
secured properly to the
Tool Cage, the underside
will look like this: d. Attach the tip collector
chute to the PAT4.0 Tool
Head

Step 4:
Attach the Tool Cage to the Fixture
TIP: unlock the
Paddle to flip up for
exposing a viewable
guided-slot a. To install the Tool Cage
to the Fixture, the approach
is from the underside of the
Fixture to align as shown

slots until Tool Cage is
secured to the Fixture

Step 5:
Connect the air line hose from Tool Cage to the EI
block on Fixture
TIP: before pushing the air line in, pull away on the orange
locking mechanism; for future removal, push down on
orange while simultaneously pulling away on the air line
Push the air line
hose into the EI
block as shown,
pushing until the
hose bottoms
out; the orange
locking
mechanism will
keep the hose
locked in place

Step 6:
Connect the EI cable
a. Power off the PAT4.0 System
b. Connect one end of the EI cable to the back of the PDM4.0; tighten the screws
with Phillips head screw driver to secure the EI cable connection
c. Connect the other end of the EI cable to the EI block on the Fixture; secure

Step 7:
Connect the Air
a. Detach air line from
PDM4.0 b.Attach to T-connector
supplied with PATMFM4.0
c. Re-attach to PDM4.0

d. Attach other end of air
supply to air nozzle on EI
block on Fixture
