Into the Unknown have alot of controls which could be confusing to operate at first.
This is a detailed explanation of how the controls work and a guide to some of my
favourite settings. But I encourage you to experiment and find your own favourite
settting. There are alot of possibilites. njoy your pedal!
1. Fuzz - this setting will give you a good starting point.
CONTROLS
MIX – This control blends between straight square wave fuzz and the
synthesized VCO signal coming from the CD4046 PLL chip.
OctU switch – The VCO signal will be one or two octaves up depending on
the switch (down position – one octave up, up position – two octaves up).

The VCO signal are also affected by the LFO, Track and Warp controls.
More about that later...
SUB – This controls how much octave down you add to the signal.
OctD switch – Toggles between one or two octaves down (down position –
two octaves down, up position – one octave down).
These controls are independent from the mi control, so the octave down can
be added to both the fuzz and the VCO signal.
2. This setting shows a synthy sounds with one octave down, and two
octaves up.
FILTER – This control the cutoff of the resonant filter. Turn it down just alittle
to remove the fizz from the treble, or turn it down completely for a huge treble
cut. In the middle position you will hear a strong resonant peak.

3. Theremin setting - turn up both Track and Warp for theremin'esque sounds.
You can blend in alittle fuzz with the mi pot or octave down with the sub pot for a
cool effect.
TRACK – This control the tracking speed of the VCO signal. Turn it up for a
slow attack and decay of the octave up.
WARP – I don't know how to describe this control. It is very interactive with
the track control and has a strong effect on the character of the modulation.
Turn it all the way up for a ringmod'ish sound.
MODULATION
LFO – This switch controls the LFO on/off and waveshape.
Up position – triangle wave shape
Middle position – Off
Down position – Square wave shape

RATE – Controls the speed of the LFO.
The LFO only affects the VCO signal. Both track and warp has a strong affect
on the character of the modulation. The OctU switch sets the frequency
range.
4. Fuzz Flanger – put the LFO switch in the triangle wave (up) position.
In this case the Mi pot acts as a depth control for the modulation. Play
around with the rate, track and warp for different sounds.
SELF OSCILLATION
GATE – this control sets the input sensitivity, from very controlled and gated
(CW) to very glitchy (sensitive to string noise), and turned all the way down it
starts to oscillate on it's own. The oscillation can be influenced in many
different ways, by the OctU switch, track and warp controls, LFO (rate and
waveshape) and even the controls on your guitar (this works best when using
this pedal directly after the guitar). xperiment!

When playing around with the oscillation, here is where the filter shines. Turn
it for a great sweeping effect.
LEVEL – Controls the overall output.
