Powering on/off
Device has hree differen power s a es: Off, S andby, and On. Below able shows how o
power on/off, en er S andby mode, and wake-up from S andby mode.

Reset device
Device has sof rese and hard rese func ions, as well as a fac ory defaul func ion.
ATTENTION: Fac ory defaul will erase all user files and se ings!
Sof rese Press Rese pinhole
Hard rese Press Power key and Rese pinhole a he same ime
Fac ory defaul Press and hold Power key, and press Rese pinhole. Keep
holding down Power key un il message appears on screen o
press he FUN key. Press he FUN key o do Fac ory Defaul , or
press Rese o cancel.
Enabling backup battery
Backup ba ery is used o s ore S andby mode da a when main ba ery is emp y, or is
removed. Backup ba ery can keep he informa ion for 10 minu es. Charging of he backup
ba ery is au oma ically done via AC adap or, or when main ba ery is presen .
To enable/disable he backup ba ery:
1) Remove main ba ery.
2) A he bo om lef of he ba ery slo , here is a swi ch. Pu swi ch owards he righ
side o disable backup ba ery. Pu swi ch owards he lef o enable backup ba ery.

Hot swap ain battery
When Backup ba ery is enabled, ho swap of he main ba ery is possible.
3) Press Power key o en er S andby mode.
4) Remove main ba ery, and replace wi h ano her ba ery.
5) Press Power key o wake up device.

Stylus
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > S ylus.
2) In he Double-tap ab, adjus speed for double- ap by apping/clicking in he grid.
3) In he Calibration ab, click on he Recalibrate bu on o calibra e s ylus. Screen will
display a poin , use he s ylus o click on he poin as accura ely as possible. A o al of
five poin s need o be clicked on for calibra ion.
Regional settings
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > Regional Se ings.
2) Selec your locale in he pull-down lis . This will change he display of cer ain
informa ion as shown a he bo om of he window.
3) You can also cus omize se ings for display of Numbers, Currency, Time, and Da e. To
do his, click on he Customize bu on.
Multilingual Language Interface
Device suppor s a mul ilingual user in erface, which allows changing he user in erface
language very easily. Simple change he se ing below and res ar device.
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > Regional Se ings.
2) Selec he Language ab.
3) Selec he language in he pull-down lis .
4) Click on he OK bu on on he op righ side of he window.
5) Press he Rese pinhole o rese device. The device in erface will now be in he
language you selec ed.

Backlight
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > Backligh .
2) In he firs ab (Level), you can adjus backligh se ing for when device is using
ba ery power, or for when device is using AC adap or power.
3) In he second ab (Backligh ), you can enable/disable if you wish backligh o urn off
au oma ically af er a cer ain period of ime. You can configure se ings for when
device is using ba ery power, or for when device is using AC adap or power.
Keypad lighting
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > KeyPadLed.
2) Two choices are available:
oTurn on keypad ligh ing when user presses any key, and ligh ing s ays on.
oTurn on keypad ligh ing when user presses any key, bu ligh ing s ays on only for
a defined period of ime.
3) Defaul se ing is o urn on keypad ligh ing for 60 seconds when user presses bu on.
Button configuration
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel > Bu on_Configura ion.
2) Click on a key in he lis o selec i .
3) Click on he Find bu on o selec applica ion you wish o associa e o he key.
4) Click on he OK bu on on he op righ side of he window o save se ing.
5) To remove se ing from a key, selec he key in he lis , hen click on he Empty
bu on.
6) To remove se ings from all keys, enable checkbox All Empty, hen click on he Empty
bu on.

Prin er
Printer language support
Prin er suppor s fon s for he following languages:
–La in based languages (English and all European languages)
–Tradi ional Chinese
–Simplified Chinese
–Japanese
Printer fir ware update
1) Double-click on My Device o open Explorer window.
2) In he menu bar on op of he screen, selec View> Op ions. A pop-up window
appears.
3) Uncheck box “Hide pro ec ed opera ing sys em files (Recommended)”
4) Click on he OK bu on in he pop-up window.
5) The Windows folder should have appeared in he Explorer window. Double-click on i .
6) Find and run he program Printer Update
7) Click on he bu on … o loca e he prin er firmware file. There are hree ypes of file:
firmware file, boo file, and fon file. Depending on he file you load, please selec
one of he hree radio boxes Boot, F/W, or Font.
8) Click on he Auto Update bu on. Upgrading s ar s, you should see he progress
displayed undernea h.
9) Af er upgrade is finished, he version number displayed should change. You may also
click on he Check version bu on o refresh he version numbers.
Paper roll
1) When device ries o prin , bu paper is no presen , device will beep.
2) Open he prin er cover.
3) Inser paper roll in o slo . Make sure some paper is showing when prin er cover is
closed.
4) You can check paper roll level by looking hrough he ransparen window on he righ
side of he prin er.

1) S ar > Programs > U ili ies > Prin er. A es u ili y will appear (righ ).

7) Print Image bu on: he image loaded will be prin ed.
8) To line feed he paper, en er a value in he ex area on he lef side of LineFeed
bu on. Then click on LineFeed bu on. Prin er will blank prin 0.125cm for each line.

Printer settings

2) Prin ing speed and densi y can be cus omized.
3) Speed: values be ween 1 (slowes ) and 32 (fas es ). Defaul is 22.
4) Densi y: values be ween 1 (darkes ) and 4 (ligh es ). Defaul is 4.
5) Click on Set bu on o apply.
* No e: changing hese se ings will affec ba ery performance.

Turn WiFi on/off
1) S ar > Se ings > Con rol Panel. Then double-click on WiFi_Power icon.
2) Selec WLan On (righ pic) o urn WiFi on, or WLan Off (lef pic) o urn off WiFi.

Connection settings
1) Af er WiFi is urned on, he window below should appear af er a few seconds. Selec
a wireless ne work in he lis and click on Connect, or click Add New o add new
ne work.
2) Selec he encryp ion and au hen ica ion ype. If required, please en er he ne work
key of he wireless ne work. (Please consul your wireless ne work adminis ra or for
he ne work key). Click OK when finished.

3) S a us will show he connec ion s a us. When i says “Connec ed o [ne work]” his
indica es connec ion was successful. Icon in he askbar also shows connec ed. You
can also view signal s reng h for connec ed wireless ne work. The s reng h of he
signal will vary depending on he dis ance be ween device and he wireless access
poin .
4) Press Advanced.. bu on o se he preferred ne work.
