(1) Power On: When you press and hold the button for more than 3 seconds, the
system powers on with the message saying 'Hello!'.
(2) Power Off: When you press and hold the button on the battery indicator screen for
more than 3 seconds, the system powers off with the message saying 'Bye!'

4) Charging the battery
4. URBAN S Band Usage
1) Normal Mode
Each time you press the button of the band on the initial screen, the number of steps,
heart rate, and battery level are indicated in turn.
1. Detach the main body.
2. Install the main body
onto the charger.
3. Connect the 5-pin charging
connector to the cradle installed.

2) Exercise Mode
When you press the button of the band twice on the initial clock screen, 'START' is
indicated on the screen.
Exercise Mode can be used during the workouts such as walking, running, climbing,
and cycling.
You can indicate the information of your choice using the settings menu in the App.
Note
To set up your exercise route and exercise mode and to check the exercise route, we
recommend that you start or finish a workout in the App. If you use the band only,
information such as the exercise route will not be indicated.
5. URBAN S Band Mode Description
1) URBAN Mode
- Urban Mode measures the number of steps and the heart rate by checking the user
condition.
※ Caution: The number of steps can still be counted if your wrist moves while you are not walking
such as when you are driving a car on an uneven ground while wearing a band.

Time: Indicates the current time. As shown on the left, the LED light on the upper or
lower section indicates the a.m. and the p.m. respectively.
Number of Steps: Indicates the number of steps you made in a day.
Heart Rate: Indicates heart rate measurements for each cycle as set from the App Menu.
Battery: Indicates the remaining battery level.
(The App indicates it by the unit of a 10%)

2) Exercise Mode
- Exercise Mode reports the information about your exercise based on your specific
workout mode: walking, running, climbing or cycling.
(The workout information can vary according to the environment and the physical information.)
- During the exercise mode, you can check your burned up calories, distance, pace, and number of steps.
Note
If you want to have the above information shown on the band display, you can set it up
under the ‘Menu-Settings in the URBAN-S App’.

3) Measurement of the Heart Rate and the Altitude
You can measure your heart rate and altitude anytime anywhere.
Note
The measurement of the heart rate and altitude cannot be performed from the band
alone.
(The measurement can be performed using the App. The altitude is measured based on
the atmospheric pressure data from AccuWeather, and the measured altitude may vary
due to the difference from the actual atmospheric pressure.)
4) Other Modes
You can measure your heart rate and altitude anytime anywhere.

6. How to Use the URBAN S App
1) Reading the Tutorial
(1) Install the Urban S App from the Play Store or the App Store.
(2) Once the App is run, the tutorial pages are automatically displayed. Read
each page while you swipe left to move on to the next page.
(3) If you do not want to read the tutorial again later, select the 'Do not show
again' checkbox and press the start button.
2) Running the App for the First Time
(1) Once the App is run, please complete your profile after you agree to the
terms and conditions.
(2) After completing the profile, press the 'OK' button.
(3) You can change the unit of your choice (between ft/lb and cm/kg) by touching
it.

3) Setting Up Your Profile
(1) Please complete your profile by entering your name, date of birth, height, weight and
gender.
(2) Please enter the figures correctly so that you can get the correct data.
4) Bluetooth Connection
(1) Turn on the bluetooth and run the Urban S App.
(2) The list of devices available for connection is indicated.
(3) If you select your device, the bluetooth connection is established.

5) Menu Screen
(1) Menu
When you select ‘ ’ on the upper left side of the URBAN Mode or Exercise Mode, the
Menu list is displayed as above.
(2) Register Band
①You can connect your own band with the URBAN-S App from the upper 'Register
Band' menu.
②When the band is connected, the menu changes to 'Disable Band', where you can

Example) When ‘2D:Y7’ is indicated after pressing the band button three times, connect
the product which has the indication of ‘2D:Y7’ for the last 4 digits on the upper band
search screen.

(3) Setting Up
①On 'Section A (Unit)', you can select a unit of measurement data.
②On 'Section B (Notification)', you can set up notifications from the band to suit your
needs. For example, you can define notifications of apps (such as Kakao Talk), text
messages, phone calls, heart rates (those set on the main page), and the
disconnection of bluetooth.
③On 'Section C (Show time when turning your wrist)', you can set whether to use the
tilt function where you can see the time information just by turning your wrist while
wearing a band without pressing a button.
④On 'Section D (Frequency of heart rate measurement during normal mode)', you can
control the frequency of measuring your heart rate during normal mode.
⑤On 'Section E (Frequency of heart rate measurement during exercise)', you can
control the frequency of measuring your heart rate during exercise.
(Even if it is set to real time, the graph is indicated by the frequency of 3 minutes. )
⑥On 'Section F (Items to be indicated on the band display during exercise)', you can
set items to indicate on the band display while on exercise mode.

(The exercise time and heart rate are indicated all the time, and you cannot set
them up while working out. Regarding the indication of information, please refer to 2)
Exercise Mode of 4. Band Usage.
7. Functions and Description of Each Mode
1) URBAN Mode
①If you want to check the current up-to-date data, you can update the data by pressing
the ‘ ’ button at the upper right corner.
②If the band is connected/not connected, a message saying "The band is connected/not
connected." is displayed in the middle of the screen.
When it is not connected, icon will be indicated and if you click it, a window
appears to guide you on how to connect the band.
③If the band is connected, the battery level of the band is indicated by the unit of 10%
at the top.
Note
When the firmware of the connected band is out of date, a window asking whether to
install an update will be displayed. This is displayed once a day. If you press 'Yes', the
firmware is updated; if you press 'No', you should manually click and install a firmware
update of the band from the Menu later.

(1) Condition
With the SLEEP/RECOVERY/CONDITION graph at the uppermost of the URBAN
Mode, the physical condition of the current user can be identified.
Note
Indication of the user's condition index
Sleep: This is the index to show how much sound sleep the user had by calculating the sleep time along
with the tossing and turning overnight. As the index comes closer to 100, it means that the user had more
sound sleep. (In case of sleeping without wearing the band, the default value is indicated as 70. This is not
an error of the App.)
Recovery: This is the index to check the current recovery rate of the body from the fatigue based on the
sleep index overnight, the current fatigue rate, and the burned up calories. As the index comes closer to 100,
it means more recovery from the fatigue.
Condition: It is calculated in consideration of the recovery rate from the fatigue, the exercise amount, and
the heart beat.

(2) Heart Rate Measurement
①When you select 'Heart Rate Measurement' of the URBAN Mode, the band enters into
the heart rate measurement mode.
②After the entry the measurement starts automatically, and the result of the
measurement is indicated in the image at the center.
③The bar graph at the bottom shows the stable heart rate for your age in comparison
to the currently measured heart rate.
④When you select the 'Measurement History' button at the bottom, you can see the
past measurement records for up to 30 periods.
⑤If you move or have a talk, the heart rate may not be measured correctly. If you want
to measure your heart rate correctly while resting, it is recommended that you
measure it after having a rest for about 20 to 30 minutes indoors.
⑥This measurement mode can only provide the data at the time of measurement, and
the menus such as the 'URBAN Mode Heart Rate' other than 'Measurement History'
of this mode do not store continuous heart rate measurement data or the
measurement data while working out. The measurement data is also used to estimate
the Condition value of the URBAN Mode.

(3) Altitude Measurement
①When you select 'Altitude Measurement' tab of the URBAN Mode, the band enters
into the altitude measurement mode.
②After the entry the measurement starts automatically, and the result of the
measurement is indicated in the image at the center.
③When you select the 'Measurement History' at the bottom, you can see the past
measurement records.
④As the altitude is measured on the basis of the atmospheric pressure data of the
applicable area using the GPS, the atmospheric pressure can be measured differently
according to the change of the weather condition and the GPS information.
⑤In the case of URBAN-S, the altitude is measured based on the atmospheric pressure
data of ACCWEATHER Company.
⑥This measurement mode can only measure the altitude of the current location.

(4) Number of Steps
①When you select the blue-colored 'Goal Setting' of the 'Number of Steps' tab of the
URBAN Mode, you can set up your goal for the number of steps.
②You can check your progress toward the target number of steps from the bar graph of
the 'Number of Steps' tab of the URBAN Mode.
③The number of steps is stored every hour, and the number of steps data for
hour/day/week/month is stored in a graph for your reference. The URBAN Mode
screen is updated in real time every 5 minutes, and when the synchronization button
is clicked, it is updated to the latest value of the band. If you want to check the data
up to the present, you can update the data by pressing the ‘ ’ button at the upper
right corner.
④If you press the ‘ ’ button at the upper right hand corner of the graph screen, a
screenshot is captured, and you can share it via SNS.
⑤By dragging the graph to left or right, you can check the accurate value for the number
of steps by each hour of measurement.

(5) Heart Rate
①When you select the blue-colored 'Notification Setting' of the 'Heart Rate' tab of the
URBAN Mode, you can set up a threshold heart rate to trigger a warning from the
band through vibration.
②The heart rate measured at each specified cycle is updated into the URBAN Mode
and is indicated on the detailed graph by the cycle of 60 minutes, and the heart rate
data for hour/day/week/month is stored in a graph for your reference.
③The graph of heart rate is updated by the cycle of 60 minutes. If you want to check
the data up to date, you can update the data by pressing the ‘ ’ button at the upper
right corner.
④If you press the ‘ ’ button at the upper right hand corner of the graph screen, a
screenshot is captured, and you can share it via SNS.
⑤By dragging the graph to left or right, you can check the accurate value for the heart
rate by each hour of measurement.
⑥In the 'Heart Rate Notification Setting' which appears by visiting the setting of the ‘ ’
menu, you can enable or disable the heart rate notification function. (* Refer to the (3)
Setting of 5) Menu Screen.)

<Male> <Female>
The maximum heart rate is set using ‘220 – your age’ by default.
When you measure your heart rate at the 'Heart Rate Measurement' tab of the
URBAN Mode, you can check the average heart rate while resting based on your
age and the risky threshold heart rate you set up.

(6) Calories
①When you select the 'Calories' tab of the URBAN Mode, you can look at the record of
calories in detail.
②The calories measured at each specified cycle is updated into the URBAN Mode and
it is indicated on the detailed graph by the cycle of 30 minutes, and the data for
hour/day/week/month is stored in a graph for your reference.
③The graph of calories is updated every 60 minutes. If you want to check the data up
to the last 60 minutes, you can update the data by pressing the ‘ ’ button at the
upper right corner.
④If you press the ‘ ’ button at the upper right hand corner of the graph screen, a
screenshot is captured, and you can share it via SNS.
⑤By dragging the graph to left or right, you can check the accurate value for the calories
by each hour of measurement.
