SPARK LX Datalogger
The SPARK LX is a datalogging device with a ruggedized cover. It blends PASCO wireless probeware with the PASCO
data collection and analysis software programs SPARKvue, Spectrometry, and MatchGraph! plus PASCO’s classroom
management solution: Lab Manager. It also supports connections to several PASCO Wireless Sensors.
See www.pasco.com/SPARKLX for more information.
Charging and Power Requirements:
The SPARK LX Datalogger is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery.
•Charging: To charge the SPARK LX Datalogger, connect the USB charger to the Micro USB charging port on the left
end of the datalogger using the Micro USB cable. Initial charging time may be three hours or longer depending on the
power source and the condition of the battery.
• Power and Status: To turn the datalogger on, press and hold the ON/OFF button until graphics appear on the screen.
After a few moments you will see the PASCO SPARK LX “Home Screen”. To turn the datalogger off, press and hold the
ON/OFF button until the “Power Off” and “Restart” buttons appear and then select the desired option. Battery status
for the datalogger is available in the notification area at the top of the screen, or from Settings->Device
Management->Battery.

Connecting Wireless Sensors to the Datalogger
Wireless Sensors connect to the datalogger through the PASCO Data Collection Software.

•Select Done. A list of measurements appears under the sensor in the Home Screen.
Collect Data
•In the SPARKvue Home Screen, select a measurement from the list under the sensor’s name. A graph of the
