Vor dem Benutzen
Die Gebrauchsanweisung aufmerksam lesen. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
für den Gebrauch, die Sicherheit und die Wartung des Gerätes.
Sie soll sorgfältig aufbewahrt und gegebenenfalls an Nachbenutzer wei-
tergegeben werden.
Das Gerät darf nur für den vorgesehenen Zweck, gemäß dieser Gebrauchs-
anweisung, verwendet werden.
Beim Gebrauch die Sicherheitshinweise beachten.
Sicherheitshinweise
Gerät nur an Wechselstrom - mit Spannung gemäß Typschild am Gerät
- an eine vorschriftsmäßig installierte Schutzkontaktsteckdose anschlie-
ßen. Zuleitung und Stecker müssen trocken sein.
Die Anschlussleitung nicht über scharfe Kanten ziehen oder einklem-
men, nicht herunterhängen lassen sowie vor Hitze und Öl schützen.
Den MokkaCaféAutomat nur mit dem dazugehörigen Sockel betreiben.
Den Netzstecker nicht an der Leitung oder mit nassen Händen aus der
Steckdose ziehen.
Das Gerät nicht in Betrieb nehmen bzw. sofort Netzstecker ziehen,
wenn:
- Gerät oder Netzkabel beschädigt ist;
- das Gerät undicht ist;
- der Verdacht auf einen Defekt nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlich besteht.
In diesen Fällen das Gerät zur Reparatur geben.
Das Gerät nicht auf heiße Oberflächen z.B. Herdplatten o. Ä. oder in der
Nähe der offenen Gasflamme abstellen, es könnte dabei anschmelzen.
Das Gerät nicht auf wasserempfindliche Oberflächen abstellen.
Wasserspritzer könnten diese beschädigen.
Das Gerät nicht ohne Wasser einschalten.
Wird das Gerät überfüllt, könnte kochendes Wasser herausspritzen.
Nur Kaffee- oder Espressopulver verwenden, kein Instandpulver, Tee
oder Kakao.
Das Gerät während des Betriebes nicht verrücken und nicht am
Netzkabel ziehen.
Vorsicht, das Gerät wird heiß. Verbrühungsgefahr durch austretenden
Dampf. Den heißen MokkaCaféAutomat nur am Griff anfassen und zum
Ausgießen Deckel nicht öffnen.
Soll mehrmals hintereinander Kaffee zubereitet werden, das Gerät zuvor
vollständig abkühlen lassen.
Keinesfalls die Kanne abschrauben, so lange das Heizteil nicht abge-
kühlt ist.
Kanne und Heizteil nach jedem Gebrauch stets restlos leeren. Keine

Restflüssigkeiten längere Zeit im Gerät stehen lassen.
Kinder erkennen nicht die Gefahren, die beim Umgang mit Elektrogerä-
ten entstehen können. Deshalb das Gerät nur unter Aufsicht und außer-
halb der Reichweite von Kindern betreiben und aufbewahren.
Der Netzstecker ist zu ziehen:
- bei Störungen während des Betriebes,
- vor jeder Reinigung und Pflege,
- nach dem Gebrauch.
Das Heizteil und den Sockel nicht in Wasser tauchen.
Bei Zweckentfremdung, falscher Bedienung oder nicht fachgerechter
Reparatur wird keine Haftung für eventuelle Schäden übernommen.
Ebenso sind Garantieleistungen in solchen Fällen ausgeschlossen.
Das Gerät ist nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Wenn die Anschlussleitung dieses Gerätes beschädigt wird, muss sie
durch den zentralen Kundendienst des Herstellers oder eine ähnlich
qualifizierte Person ersetzt werden. Durch unsachgemäße Reparaturen
können erhebliche Gefahren für den Benutzer entstehen.
Inbetriebnahme
Vor Erstbenutzung alle Teile reinigen und mit klarem Wasser nachspülen.
Zuerst die Kanne (3) durch Drehen gegen den Uhrzeigersinn vom Heizteil
(2) abschrauben.
Das Heizteil darf keinesfalls in Wasser
getaucht werden.
Zum Herausnehmen der Filterscheibe (9)
die Dichtung (10) entfernen. Sie darf dabei
nicht beschädigt werden. Das Einsetzen
muss so erfolgen, dass Dichtung und
Filterscheibe eine Ebene bilden.
Die nicht benötigte Länge der An-
schlussleitung kann am Boden des

Sockels (1) aufgewickelt werden. Die Leitung vom heißen Gerät stets fern-
halten. Den Netzstecker an eine Schutzkontaktsteckdose anschließen.
Zubereitung
Mit dem MokkaCaféAutomat können wahlweise 2 oder 4 Tassen (je 50-60
ml) Kaffee mit starkem, intensivem Aroma zubereitet werden.
1. Füllen Sie Frischwasser bis zur Füllstandsmarkierung für 2 oder 4 Tas-
sen in das Heizteil (2).
2. Setzen Sie den Siebtrichter (7) in das Heizteil (2) ein. Für 2 Tassen muss
zusätzlich der Siebeinsatz (8) in den Siebtrichter (7) eingelegt werden.
3. Füllen Sie mittelfein gemahlenes Pulver aus Kaffee- oder Espressoboh-
nen randvoll in den Siebtrichter (7) (für 4 Tassen) bzw. in den Siebein-
satz (8) (für 2 Tassen) ein. Das Kaffeepulver locker einfüllen, keines-
falls andrücken.
Wird der Kaffee zu fein gemahlen, oder das Pulver angedrückt, könnte der
Filter verstopfen. Pulverreste auf dem Rand mit dem Finger entfernen.
4. Die Kanne (3) wie im Bild dargestellt auf das Heizteil (2) setzen und im
Uhrzeigersinn festschrauben. Den Deckel (4) schließen.
5. Das Gerät auf den Sockel (1) stellen und die Einschalttaste (5) drücken.
Die Kontrollleuchte in der Taste zeigt an, dass das Gerät heizt.
6. Der Kaffee ist nach wenigen Minuten fertig. Deutlich hörbar schaltet die
Heizung automatisch ab und die Kontrollleuchte erlischt.
7. Der Kaffee wird direkt aus dem Gerät serviert. Für einen gleichmäßig
starken Kaffee die Kanne vor dem Ausgießen leicht schwenken.
8. Nach jedem Gebrauch Kanne und Heizteil ausspülen und Siebeinsatz
und Siebtrichter reinigen. Es ist normal, dass im Heizteil Wasser mit
etwas Kaffeepulver zurückbleibt.
9. Vor dem Zusammenschrauben des Gerätes müssen alle Teile trocken
sein.

Kaffee-Variationen
Ein starker Kaffee, zubereitet mit dem MokkaCaféAutomat MC 4, lässt viele
Variationen zu: z.B.
Café mocha mit flüssiger Schokolade, heißer Milch und Sahne,
Caramel macchiato mit heißer, geschäumter Milch, Vanille-Aroma und
Karamell,
Café coretto mit einem Schuss Anis, Sambuca, Amaretto,
Grappa oder Fernet.
Sicherheitssystem
Das Sicherheitsventil (6) schützt das Gerät vor zu hohem Druck. Deshalb
darf es keinesfalls manipuliert werden. Wird das Gerät mit zu viel Wasser
betrieben, ist die sichere Funktion des Ventils nicht gewährleistet.
Ein Thermostat schützt bei versehentlichem Betrieb ohne Wasser vor Über-
hitzung, indem er die Heizung abschaltet. Das Gerät ist nach dem Abkühlen
wieder betriebsbereit.
Sollte bei unsachgemäßem Gebrauch der erste Thermostat versagen, sorgt
ein zusätzlicher Temperaturbegrenzer für einen zuverlässigen Schutz.
Entkalken
Kalkablagerungen führen zu Energieverlusten und beeinträchtigen die Le-
bensdauer des Gerätes.
Das Heizteil sollte deshalb regelmäßig mit einem handelsüblichen Entkal-
ker, der für Edelstahl geeignet ist, behandelt werden. Die Gebrauchshin-
weise des Herstellers sind dabei zu beachten. Die Lösung im offenen
Heizteil nur anwärmen, keinesfalls aufkochen, da sie sonst überschäumt.
Nach dem Entkalken gründlich mit klarem Wasser spülen.
Schäden, die durch Nichtbeachtung dieser Hinweise entstehen, fallen nicht
unter die Garantie.
Reinigung und Pflege
Vor dem Reinigen Netzstecker ziehen und Gerät abkühlen lassen.
Das Heizteil keinesfalls in Wasser tauchen. Die Einzelteile sind nicht für die
Spülmaschine geeignet. Das Geräteäußere nur mit einem feuchten Tuch
reinigen.
Alle Metallteile bestehen aus nichtrostendem Edelstahl. Sollten sich Rost-
flecken zeigen, so sind dies nur auf der Oberfläche festhaftende

Ablagerungen. Sie können mit einem Edelstahl-Poliermittel entfernt werden.
Keine scharfen und scheuernden Mittel verwenden.
Siebtrichter, Siebeinsatz, Dichtung und Filterscheibe regelmäßig auf Be-
schädigungen prüfen und ggf. ersetzen.
Ursachen für Störungen
• Gerät schaltet vorzeitig ab
Das Heizteil ist zu stark verkalkt.
•Aus dem Sicherheitsventil entweicht Dampf
Der Kaffee ist zu fein gemahlen.
Sollte die Störung nicht behoben werden können, das Gerät zur Reparatur
geben.
Garantie-Information
Für unsere Geräte übernehmen wir gegenüber dem Endkunden eine 24-
monatige Haltbarkeitsgarantie. Sie beginnt mit dem Kauf des Gerätes durch
den Endkunden und gilt im Gebiet der Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Ansprüche aus dieser Garantie sind unter Vorlage des Kaufbelegs direkt
gegenüber unserem zentralen Kundendienst geltend zu machen.
Von der Garantie ausgeschlossen sind Schäden durch normalen Verschleiß,
unsachgemäßen Gebrauch, Nichteinhaltung der Entkalkungsanweisung
sowie unterbliebene Pflege.
Der Endkunde besitzt zusätzlich zu den Ansprüchen aus dieser Garantie
gesetzliche Ansprüche wegen Mängeln des Gerätes gegenüber seinem
direkten Verkäufer/Händler, die durch diese Garantie nicht eingeschränkt
werden.

Before Using
Read these instructions carefully. They contain important notes for the use,
safety and maintenance of the appliance. Keep them in a safe place and
transfer them to a possible succeeding user. Only use the appliance for the
purpose mentioned in these instructions.
When using pay particular attention to the following safety advice.
Safety Advice
Connect the appliance to alternating current only - with a rated voltage
according to the rating plate - to a correctly installed earthed socket.
Cord and plug must be completely dry.
Do not pull the connection cord over sharp edges or jam it, do not allow
it to hang down and protect it from heat and oil.
Only use the Mocha Coffee Maker with the corresponding base.
Do not pull out the plug by the cord or touch it with wet hands.
If the following happens do not use the kettle and unplug it immediately:
- the kettle or cord is damaged
- the appliance leaks
- any defect after a plunge or something similar is suspected.
In these cases have the appliance repaired.
Do not place the appliance onto hot surfaces, e.g. hot plate, etc. or near
gas flames, it may melt.
Do not place the appliance onto surfaces sensitive to water. Water splas-
hes could damage it.
Do not use the appliance without water.
If the coffee-maker is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
Only use coffee and espresso powder, never use instant powder, tea or
cacao.
Do not move the appliance and do not pull at the cord during use.
Caution: The appliance will become hot during use. Scalding danger
due to escaping steam! Only touch the hot Mocha Coffee Maker by the
handle and do not open the lid when pouring out.
In case coffee should be prepared several times in succession, cool
down the appliance completely in advance.
You must not unscrew the jug as long as the heating element has not
cooled down.
After every use, always empty the jug and the container completely. Do
not leave remaining liquids in the appliance for longer time.
Children are not aware of the dangers that can be caused by electrical
appliances.
Therefore never leave the appliance unattended during use. Use and
store the device out of reach of children.

Unplug in the following cases:
- faults during use
- prior to cleaning and maintenance
- after use.
Do not immerse the heating vessel or base in water.
In case of misuse, wrong handling or incorrect repair no liability will be
taken for possible damages. Claims under guarantee are also excluded
in such cases.
The appliance is not designed for commercial purposes.
In case the cord of this appliance is damaged, it has to be replaced by
authorized service agent of the manufacturer or a person having similar
qualifications. Substantial dangers for the user can appear from inap-
propriate repairs.
Putting into operation
Before first use clean all the components and rinse them under clear water.
Firstly unscrew the jug (3) from the heating vessel (2) by turning counter-
clockwise.
The heating vessel must not be
immersed into the water.
In order to take off the filter disk (9)
remove the sealing (10) which must not
be damaged. Inserting must be effect-
ed in a way that the joint disk and the
filter disk are laid side by side.
The non-required length of the cord can
be rolled up at the bottom of the base (1).
The cord must not touch the hot appli-
ance. Put the plug into an earthed socket.

Preparation
With the Mocha Coffee Maker, you can prepare either 2 or 4 cups (50-60 ml
respectively) of coffee with strong, intensive flavour.
1. Fill fresh water for 2 or 4 cups into the heating vessel (2) up to the level
indication.
2. Insert the funnel shaped filter (7) into the heating vessel (2). For 2 cups,
the additional sieve attachment has to be inserted into the funnel shaped
filter (7).
3. Fill in medium-ground coffee powder from coffee or espresso beans up to
the rim into the funnel shaped filter (7) (for 4 cups) or into the sieve
attachment (8) (for 2 cups). Fill in coffee powder loosely. If the coffee
is ground very fine or if the powder is pressed on, the filter might be-come
blocked. Remove the remaining powder on the rim by the finger.
4. Put the jug (3), like indicated in the illustration, onto the heating element
(2) and screw it tightly clockwise. Close the lid (4).
5. Put the appliance onto the base (1) and press the start button (5). The
control lamp on the button indicates that the appliance is heating.
6. The coffee is ready after a few minutes. It is well audible when the heat-
ing switches off automatically and the control lamp switches off.
7. The coffee is served directly from the appliance. For an equally strong
coffee, stir the jug carefully prior to pouring out.
8. After every use rinse the jug and the container and clean the sieve attach-
ment and funnel shaped filter. It is normal that some water with some cof-
fee powder remains in the heating element.
9. All the parts must be dry prior to screwing of the appliance.
Coffee variations
A strong coffee, prepared with the Mocha Coffee Maker MC 4, allows you
many variations:

Café mocha with liquid chocolate, hot milk and cream,
Caramel macchiato with hot, frothed milk, vanilla flavour and caramel,
Café coretto with a splash of anise, sambuca, amaretto, grappa
or fernet.
Safety system
The safety valve (6) protects the appliance from too much pressure.
Therefore it must not be manipulated. The security performance of the valve
is not ensured if the appliance is operated with too much water.
In case of erroneous operation without water, a thermostat protects the
appliance from overheating by switching off the heating. After cooling down
the appliance is again ready for operation.
If the first thermostat fails in case of improper use, an additional temperature
control ensures a reliable protection.
De-scaling
Lime scales cause loss of energy and reduce the life time of the appliance.
Therefore, the container should regularly be de-scaled with usual de-scaling
agents suitable for stainless steel. Please consider the user instructions of
the manufacturer.
Only heat up the substance in open container, it must not boil, otherwise it
will foam over the top of the kettle. After de-scaling rinse carefully with water.
Guarantee does not cover damages resulting from non-observance of the
manufacturers instructions.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before cleaning unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Never immerse
the heating vessel into water. The single components are not dishwasher-
proof. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth only.
All metal components are made from rust-resistant stainless steel. Any iron
moulds are only residues which stick on the surfaces. They can be removed
with a special polishing agent for stainless steel. Do not use any caustic or
scouring cleaning agents.
Check regularly whether the funnel shaped filter, sieve attachment, joint disk
and filter disk are damaged and replace them if necessary.
Causes for failure
• Appliance switches off early:
The lime scale built up in the heating vessel is too thick.
• There is a steam escaping from the safety valve:
The coffee is too pulverized.
If the failure cannot be removed have the appliance repaired. 11

• This product is supplied with a 13 A plug conforming to BS 1363 fitted to
the mains lead. If the plug is unsuitable for your socket outlets or needs
to be replaced, please note the following. If the plug is a non-rewireable
one, cut it from the mains lead and immediately dispose of it. Never insert
it into a socket outlet as there is a very great risk of an electric shock.
• The replacement of the plug at the mains lead has to be done according
to the following instructions:

Important: The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
green/yellow Earth
blue Neutral
brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this appliance may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, proceed as follows:
- the wire which is coloured green and yellow must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter E or by the earth symbol , or
coloured green or green and yellow,
- the wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the terminal
which is marked the letter N or coloured black,
- the wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the terminal
which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
• If a 13 A (BS 1363) plug is used it must be fitted with a 3 A fuse confor-
ming to BS 1362 and be ASTA approved. If any other type of plug is used,
the appliance must be protected by a 5 A fuse either in the plug or adapter
or at the distribution board.
If in doubt - consult a qualified electrician.
• Never use the plug without closing the fuse cover.
The appliance complies with the European directives
73/23/EEC and 89/336/EEC.
At the end of its lifetime this product must not be disposed of
through the normal domestic waste, but it should be handed to an
assembly point for the recycling of electrical and electronical appli-
ances. You can inquire about details at the local administration.

Avant utilisation
Lire attentivement le mode d’emploi. Il comprend des informations impor-
tantes pour l’utilisation, la sécurité et l´entretien de l’appareil.
Veuillez le conserver soigneusement et, le cas échéant, le remettre à des
utilisateurs ultérieurs. L’appareil ne doit être utilisé que conformément à
l’usage indiqué dans ce mode d’emploi.
Tenir compte des recommandations de sécurité lors de son utilisation.
Indications de sécurité
Ne brancher l’appareil que sur du courant alternatif ayant une tension
correspondant à la plaque signalétique, sur une prise de sécurité. Le
cordon et la prise secteur doivent être secs.
Ne pas tirer ni coincer le câble sur des bords tranchants. Ne pas le lais-
ser pendre et le protéger de la chaleur et des matières grasses.
Ne pas utiliser la Cafetière Mokka sans son socle.
Ne pas débrancher l´appareil en tirant sur le câble ou avec les mains
mouillées.
Ne pas mettre l´appareil en marche ou le débrancher immédiatement
lorsque :
- l’appareil ou le cordon d´alimentation sont endommagés
- l´appareil n´est pas étanche
- vous avez des doutes sur sa capacité à fonctionner après une chute
par exemple.
Dans tous ces cas, donner l´appareil à réparer.
Ne pas mettre l´appareil sur des surfaces très chaudes telles que les
plaques de cuisson ou à proximité d´une flamme, il pourrait fondre.
Ne pas poser l´appareil sur des surfaces sensibles à l´eau. Les écla-
boussures pourraient les endommager.
Ne pas mettre l´appareil en marche à vide.
Un excès d'eau dans la machine à café peut causer des éclaboussures
d'eau bouillante.
N´utiliser que du café ou de l’expresso moulu, pas de café soluble, de
thé ou de cacao.
Ne pas déplacer l´appareil et ne pas tirer sur son câble pendant qu´il
fonctionne.
Attention, l´appareil chauffe. Il existe un danger de brûlure en raison de
la vapeur qui s’en échappe. Ne saisir l´appareil brûlant que par sa poig-
née et ne pas ouvrir le couvercle quand vous versez le café.
Au cas où le café devrait être préparé plusieurs fois de suite, laisser
refroidir complètement l’appareil avant chaque préparation.
Ne jamais dévisser le pot aussi longtemps que le réservoir de chauffe
n´a pas refroidi.

Bien vider le pot et le réservoir de chauffe après chaque usage. Ne lais-
ser aucun reste de liquide de manière prolongée dans l´appareil.
Les enfants sont inconscients des dangers qu´ils courent en utilisant des
appareils électriques. Pour cette raison, ne pas faire fonctionner l´appar-
eil sans surveillance et l´utiliser et le garder hors de portée des enfants.
La prise doit être débranchée:
- lors de perturbations au moment de l’utilisation
- avant tout nettoyage et tout entretien
- après utilisation.
Ne jamais plonger ni le réservoir de chauffe, ni le socle d´alimentation
électrique dans l’eau.
Dans le cas d´utilisations non conformes ou de réparations effectuées
par une personne non qualifiée, notre responsabilité ne sera pas enga-
gée et nous n´assumerons aucun dommage. Dans tous ces cas, la
garantie ne sera pas applicable.
L’appareil n’est pas conçu pour un emploi professionnel.
Dans le cas où le cordon de cet appareil serait endommagé, seuls le ser-
vice après-vente du fournisseur ou une personne compétente sont à
même de le changer. Des réparations impropres peuvent causer de gra-
ves dangers pour l´utilisateur.
Mise en service
Avant toute première utilisation, bien
nettoyer toutes les pièces et les rincer
à l´eau claire. Dévisser d’abord le pot
(3) du réservoir de chauffe (2) en le
tournant dans le sens inverse des
aiguilles d´une montre. Le réservoir de
chauffe ne doit en aucun cas être
plongé dans l´eau. Pour ôter le filtre
(9), retirer le joint (10). Pendant cette

opération, faire attention à ce qu´il ne soit pas endommagé. Le joint et le fil-
tre doivent être placés de manière à s´encastrer.
La partie de câble de raccordement inutile peut être enroulée sur le fond du
socle (1). Toujours veiller à ce que le cordon ne touche pas l´appareil quand
celui-ci est chaud. Brancher la fiche de contact sur une prise de courant.
Préparation
Avec la Cafetière Mokka, vous pouvez préparer au choix 2 ou 4 tasses
(respectivement 50-60 ml) de café à l’arôme fort et intense.
1. Remplir le réservoir à eau (2) d'eau fraîche jusqu'au marquage pour 2 ou
4 tasses.
2. Placez le filtre métal (7) dans le réservoir de chauffe (2). Pour 2 tasses,
vous devez également insérer le support filtre (8) dans le filtre métal (7).
3. Remplissez le filtre métal (7) de café ou d’expresso moulu jusqu´à ras
bord (7) (pour 4 tasses) ou le support filtre (8) (pour 2 tasses). Ne pas
tasser le café. Si le café est trop tassé, le filtre pourrait se boucher.
Enlever à la main les restes de café sur les bords du filtre.
4. Placez le pot (3) sur le réservoir de chauffe (2) comme indiqué sur l´image
correspondante, et vissez-le dans le sens des aiguilles d´une montre.
Fermez le couvercle (4).
5. Mettez l´appareil sur le socle (1) et appuyez sur le bouton (5). Si le témoin
lumineux marche/arrêt est allumé, cela signifie que l´appareil chauffe.
6. Le café est prêt en quelques minutes. L´arrêt est annoncé par un bruit sig-
nificatif et le témoin lumineux s´éteint.
7. Le café est servi directement de l´appareil. Pour avoir un café
homogène, agiter soigneusement le pot avant de verser le café.
8. Après chaque utilisation, rincer le pot et le réservoir de chauffe et nettoy-
er le support filtre et le filtre métal car il est normal que de l´eau avec un
peu de café reste dans le réservoir.
9. Avant de revisser l´appareil, toutes les pièces doivent être sèches.

Variantes de café
Plusieurs variantes de café, à préparer avec la Cafetière Mokka MC4 par
petra-electric, sont possibles:
Café mokka avec du chocolat liquide, du lait chaud et de la
crème
Caramel machiatto avec du lait chaud et émulsé, de l´arôme de vanille
et du caramel,
Café coretto avec quelques gouttes d´anisette, de sambuca,
d´amaretto, de grappa, ou de fernet.
Système de sécurité
La soupape de sécurité (6) permet d’éviter que l´appareil ne soit en sur-
pression. C´est la raison pour laquelle elle ne doit en aucun cas être manip-
ulée. Si l´appareil est mis en marche avec trop d´eau, la fonction de sécu-
rité de la soupape peut ne pas fonctionner.
Un thermostat protège l´appareil contre les surchauffes en coupant automa-
tiquement le courant lorsqu´il a été mis en marche par inadvertance alors
qu´il ne contenait pas d´eau. Dès que l´appareil a refroidi, il est de nouveau
prêt à être mis en service.
Si, lors d´un maniement non conforme, le premier thermostat ne devait pas
fonctionner, un limiteur de température supplémentaire se charge d´une
seconde protection fiable.
Détartrage
Les dépôts calcaires provoquent des pertes d´énergie et influent sur la
durée de vie de l´appareil.
C´est la raison pour laquelle le réservoir de chauffe doit être régulièrement
détartré avec un détartrant courant adapté au revêtement en acier confor-
mément aux indications du fabricant. Ne laisser en aucun cas la solution
bouillir dans le réservoir de chauffe ouvert car elle mousse, mais la faire
seulement chauffer. Une fois le détartrage terminé, rincer correctement à
l´eau claire. La garantie ne couvre pas les détériorations provoquées par le
non respect de ces recommandations.
Nettoyage et entretien
Débrancher l´appareil avant de le nettoyer et le laisser refroidir. Ne jamais
plonger le réservoir de chauffe dans l´eau. Les pièces détachées ne sont

pas lavables en machine.
Ne nettoyer l´extérieur du pot qu´avec un chiffon humide. Toutes les pièces
en métal sont fabriquées en acier inoxydable. Si des taches de rouille appa-
raissent, il ne s´agit que de dépôts superficiels à la surface de l´appareil.
Ces taches peuvent être enlevées avec un détergent adapté au polissage
de l´acier inoxydable. Ne pas utiliser de détergents abrasifs
et caustiques. Vérifier régulièrement que le filtre métal, le support filtre, le
joint et la lamelle ne soient pas endommagés et les remplacer si nécessaire.
Causes de mauvais fonctionnement
• L´appareil s´arrête avant l´ébullition: Il y a trop de dépôts calcaires dans
le réservoir de chauffe.
• De la vapeur s´échappe de la soupape de sécurité: Le café est trop
finement moulu.
Si ces dysfonctionnements persistent, confiez l´appareil à un réparateur
agréé.
Cet appareil est conforme aux directives européennes
73/23/CEE et 89/336/CEE.
Quand il n'est plus utilisable (fin de vie), vous ne devez pas jeter ce
produit avec les ordures ménagères mais le remettre au point de
recyclage des appareils électriques et électroniques le plus proche
(ou déchetterie). Si vous avez besoin de détails supplémentaires,
vous pouvez également vous adresser à la mairie de votre com-
mune.

Prima dell’uso
Leggere attentamente le istruzioni per l’uso. Queste danno informazioni
importanti per l’uso, la sicurezza e la manutenzione dell’apparecchio.
Conservarle accuratamente e eventualmente passarle ad ulteriori utenti.
L’apparecchio deve venire usato solo secondo gli scopi previsti da queste
istruzioni per l’uso. Osservare attentamente le indicazioni di sicurezza.
Avvertenze di sicurezza
Innestare l’apparecchio ad una presa di corrente alternata di sicurezza
regolarmente installata, con tensione relativa alla targhetta-tipo dell’ap-
parecchio. Cavo e spina devono essere asciutti.
Non tirare il cavo elettrico su spigoli taglienti, non incastrarlo, non lasci-
arlo penzolare e preservarlo da calore e oli.
Usare la caffettiera automatica moca solo con il suo rispettivo basa-
mento.
Non staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente tirandone il cavo o con
mani bagnate.
Non usare la macchina o staccare subito la spina dalla presa di corren-
te quando:
- l’apparecchio o il cavo fossero difettosi
- l’apparecchio non fosse ermetico
- si sospetti che sia danneggiato dopo una caduta o simile
In questi casi portarlo a far riparare.
Non posizionare la macchina su piani caldi, come per esempio piastre
elettriche, o simili o in prossimità di fiamme di gas scoperte perchè altri-
menti potrebbe fondersi.
Non posizionarla su piani sensibili all’acqua perché gli spruzzi di acqua
potrebbero rovinarla.
Non accendere mai la macchina senza acqua.
Se il bollitore è riempito in eccesso, l'acqua in ebollizione potrebbe fuo-
riuscire.
Usare solo polvere per caffè o espresso, non assolutamente caffè solu-
bile, tè o cacao.
Durante l’uso non spostare la macchina né tirarne il cavo.
Attenzione, la caffettiera diventa molto calda; c’è pericolo di scottatura
per il vapore uscente. Prendere la caffettiera automatica moca solo per
il manico e per versare non aprire il coperchio.
Se devono essere preparati più caffè in successione, si raccomanda di
far raffreddare completamente l’apparecchio prima di ogni preparazione.
Non svitare assolutamente la caffettiera fino a che non sia raffreddata.
Svuotare sempre dopo ogni uso sia la caffettiera che la parte-riscalda-
mento. Non lasciare per lungo tempo resti di caffè nella macchina.

I bambini non riconoscono i pericoli che possono derivare usando appa-
recchi elettrici perciò usare e custodire la caffettiera solo sotto sorvegli-
anza e lontano da bambini.
Staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente
- se ci sono disturbi durante l’uso
- prima di ogni pulizia e manutenzione
- dopo ogni uso.
Non immergere mai in acqua sia la parte riscaldamento che il basamento.
Se la macchina viene usata per scopi diversi da quelli previsti, in modo
sbagliato o in caso di riparazioni fatte non appropriatamente, non si
assumono responsabilità per eventuali danni che potrebbero derivare.
In questi casi sono escluse anche prestazioni di garanzia.
La macchina non è prevista per uso industriale.
Se il cavo elettrico di questo apparecchio venisse danneggiato, deve
venire subito cambiato dal servizio di assistenza centrale o da una per-
sona analogamente qualificata.
Riparazioni fatte da persone non competenti possono causare notevoli
pericoli all’utente.
Messa in funzione
Prima del primo uso risciacquare con acqua tutte le parti. Per primo svitare,
in senso antiorario, la caffettiera (3) dalla parte-riscaldamento (2).
La parte-riscaldamento non deve venire
assolutamente immersa in acqua.
Per estrarre il dischetto-filtro (9) togliere
prima la guarnizione (10); fare attenzione
di non rovinarla.
L’inserimento si deve fare in modo che fil-
tro e guarnizioni siano al medesimo livello.
La lunghezza del cavo non occorrente
può restare avvolta nel basamento (1) 19

della caffettiera. Tenere lontano il cavo dalla macchina calda. Inserire la
spina nella presa di corrente di sicurezza.
Preparazione
Con la caffettiera automatica moca si possono preparare a scelta da 2 a 4
tazze di caffè ( ognuna da 50 a 60 ml. ) con un aroma intenso e forte.
1. Riempire il bollitore (2) con acqua fredda per 2 o 4 tazze fino all’indica-
tore di livello.
2. Rimettere l’imbuto-filtro (7) e la parte-riscaldamento (6). Per 2 tazze si
deve inserire in più nell’imbuto-filtro (7) il dischetto-filtro (8).
3. Riempire fino all’orlo l’imbuto-filtro (7) con caffè in polvere o espresso
macinato medio ( per 4 tazze ) e nel dischetto-filtro (8) per 2 tazze.
Mettere la polvere senza pressarla. In caso il caffè venissemacinato
fine o la polvere venisse pressata, il filtro potrebbe otturarsi. Togliere con
il dito la polvere restante sull’orlo.
4. Mettere il bricco (3) sopra la parte-riscaldamento (2), comenell’illus-
trazione, e avvitarlo in senso orario. Chiudere il coperchio (4).
5. Mettere ora l’apparecchio sul basamento (1) e premere il tasto di avvia-
mento (5). La lampadina di controllo del tasto indica che l’apparecchio
riscalda.
6. Il caffè è pronto in pochi minuti. Il riscaldamento si spegne automatica-
mente con un segnale acustico ben udibile e anche la lampadina di con-
trollo.
7. Il caffè viene servito direttamente dalla caffettiera. Per un caffè omoge-
neo prima di servire mescolarlo un po’.
8. Dopo l’uso risciacquare il bricco e la parte-riscaldamento, pulire il dis-
chetto-filtro e l’imbuto-filtro. È normale che nella parte -riscaldamento
resti dell’acqua e anche un po’ di polvere di caffè.
9. Prima di riavvitare il tutto fare attenzione che tutte le parti siano ben
asciutte.
