For the input, do not connect the RCA terminal and XLR terminal at the same time.
This unit is designed for a balanced connection due to a 2 core shield line.
Therefore, for an unbalanced connection due to a 1 core shield line, it is liable to
receive noises. Be especially careful when using a cartridge with high impedance.

Names and Functions
Connect the audio cables, L and R, from your analog disc player. There are RCA
terminals and XLR terminals. If both of them are connected at the same time, the
sound may lose quality and may cause noises.
Connect them with the MM input terminals of a pre-amplifier or phono amplifier.
*For a balanced connection, compatible phono cables should be connected to
the XLR or RCA terminals.
*No.1 of the XLR terminal is GND, No.2 is HOT and No.3 is COLD.
*Never connect them to the MC terminals or the excessive input will distort
the sound.

Trouble Shooting Guide
Trouble Causes Measures
In case the equipment does not operate properly, check out the followings.
If it does not operate properly even after checking the advised points, then
contact the dealer.
The sound is not
heard.
A hum noise is
heard.
The audio wires are not plugged
in completely.
The audio wires are not plugged
in completely.
Insert the audio wires completely.
Sounds warp
and the volume
decreases.
The unit’s output is connected to
the MC input terminal of a
pre-amp or phono amp.
The load resistance of the phono
amplifier is not 47k ohms.
Connect to the pre-amp or phono
amp MM input terminal.
Receive the output from the
transformer at high impedance.
If there is an exchanging switch of
the load resistance, set it to 47k
ohms.
Insert the audio wires completely.
The earth cable with the analog
disc player is disconnected.
Surely connect the earth cable.
A power supply transformer or
motor in another equipment is
installed near this equipment.
Place this equipment apart from
the power supply transformer or
motor of other equipments.
Both XLR and RCA are
connected to the input terminal.
Both XLR and RCA are
connected to the input terminal.
Connect either one of them into
the input terminal.
Test using a phono cable that is for
a balanced connection.
Connect either one of them into
the input terminal.
The earth cable with the phono
amplifier is diconnected.
The RCA cable connected to the
output terminal is a shield floating
type
The input is an unbalanced
connection
Surely connect the earth cable.
Test it by also connecting the
grounds of the phono amplifier and
pre-amplifier with the earth cable
although usually it is not
necessary.
Cables with the shield being
floated may induce noises. For
ones with an earth cable, it may
improve if the earth cable is
connected. For ones without an
earth cable, connect using a
different cable.
