Important
Read these instructions for use carefully before
using the appliance and save them for future
reference.
◗Only use the HQ800 powerplug supplied to
charge the appliance.
◗The HQ800 powerplug transforms 100-240
volts to a safe voltage lower than 24 volts.
◗The powerplug contains a transformer. Do
not cut off the powerplug to replace it with
another plug, as this will cause a hazardous
situation.
C◗Make sure the HQ800 powerplug and the
cord do not get wet.
C◗The shaver is watertight and can be cleaned
under the tap. Do not rinse it with water
hotter than 80cC.
Charging
Recharge, store and use the appliance at a
temperature between 5cC and 35cC.
Charge indications
C◗As soon as you start charging the empty
shaver, the green pilot light goes on.

Charging the appliance
You cannot use the shaver when it is charging,
because the appliance does not work while its
battery is being charged.
To extend the lifetime of the battery, remove the
powerplug from the wall socket and pull the
appliance plug out of the shaver when the battery
has been fully charged.
C1Put the appliance plug in the shaver.
2Put the powerplug in the wall socket.
Do not recharge the shaver in a closed pouch.
3When charging for the first time or after a
long period of disuse: leave the shaver to
charge continuously for 12 hours.
Charging normally takes approx. 8 hours.
4Remove the powerplug from the wall
socket and pull the appliance plug out of
the shaver when the battery has been fully
charged.
A fully charged shaver has a cordless shaving time
of up to 30 minutes.

Using the appliance
Shaving
1Switch the shaver on by pressing the on/off
button once.
C2Move the shaving heads quickly over your
skin, making both straight and circular
movements.
Shaving on a dry face gives the best results.
Your skin may need 2 or 3 weeks to get
accustomed to the Philishave system.
3Switch the shaver off by pressing the on/off
button once.
C4Put the protection cap on the shaver every
time you have used it, to prevent damage.
Trimming
For grooming sideburns and moustache.
C1Open the trimmer by pushing the slide
upwards.
The trimmer can be activated while the motor is
running.

Cleaning and maintenance
BThe easiest and most hygienic way to clean the
appliance is to rinse the shaving unit and the hair
chamber with hot water (60cC-80cC) after each
use.
BRegular cleaning guarantees better shaving
performance.
BWhen you clean the appliance, it is not necessary
to take the shaving heads (cutters and guards)
apart. If you want to take them apart, be sure not
to mix up the cutters and guards, since grinding of
the cutters in the guards only guarantees optimal
performance for each matching set. If you
accidentally mix up the sets, it could take several
weeks before optimal shaving performance is
restored.
C◗For easy and optimal cleaning, the Philishave
Action Clean (shaving head cleaner, type
HQ100) is available.Ask your Philishave dealer
for information.
Every day: shaving unit
1Switch the shaver off, remove the
powerplug from the wall socket and pull
the appliance plug out of the shaver.
C2Press the release button to open the
shaving unit.

C3Rinse the shaving unit and the hair
chamber with hot water (60cC-80cC).
Do not clean the shaver under the tap while it is
charging.
C4Rinse the outside of the appliance.
Never dry the shaving unit with a towel or tissue
as this may damage the shaving heads.
◗You can also clean the hair chamber without
water by using the brush supplied.
Every six months: trimmer
1Switch the shaver off, remove the
powerplug from the wall socket and pull
the appliance plug out of the shaver.
C2Brush the trimmer.
C3Lubricate the trimmer teeth with a drop
of sewing machine oil every six months.
Replacement
Replace the shaving heads (type HQ53) every
2 years for optimal shaving results.

1Switch the shaver off, remove the

C2Press the release button to open the
shaving unit.
C3Turn the wheel anticlockwise and remove
the retaining frame.
C4Remove the shaving heads and place the
new ones in the shaving unit.
C5Put the retaining frame back into the
shaving unit, press the wheel and turn it
clockwise.
Replace damaged or worn shaving heads with
Philishave HQ53 shaving heads only.
Storage
C◗Put the protection cap on the shaver to
prevent damage.
◗Store the powerplug and the shaver in the
pouch.

Environment
Disposal of the battery
The built-in rechargeable battery contains
substances that may pollute the environment.
Remove the battery when you discard the
appliance. Do not throw the battery away with
the normal household waste, but hand it in at an
official collection point.You can also take the
appliance to a Philips service centre, which will
remove the battery for you and will dispose of it
in an environmentally safe way.
Only remove the battery if it is completely empty.
1Remove the powerplug from the wall
socket and pull the appliance plug out of
the shaver.
C2Let the shaver run until it stops, undo the
screws and open the shaver.
3Remove the battery.
Do not connect the shaver to the mains again
after the battery has been removed.

Troubleshooting
1Reduced shaving performance
BCause 1: the shaving heads are dirty.
◗The shaver has not been rinsed long enough
or the water used was not hot enough.
◗Clean the shaver thoroughly before you
continue shaving (see 'Cleaning and
maintenance').
BCause 2: long hairs are obstructing the shaving
heads.

C◗Remove the retaining frame.
C◗Clean the cutters and guards.
Do not clean more than one cutter and guard at
a time, since they are all matching sets. If you
accidentally mix up the cutters and guards, it may
take several weeks before optimal shaving
performance is restored.
◗Remove the hairs with the brush supplied.
◗Put the shaving heads back into the shaving
unit, put the retaining frame back into the
shaving unit, press the wheel and turn it
clockwise.
BCause 3: the shaving heads are damaged or worn.
◗Remove the retaining frame.
◗Remove the old shaving heads from the
shaving unit and replace them with new ones
Damaged or worn shaving heads (cutters and
guards) must only be replaced with the original
Philishave HQ53 shaving heads.
◗Put the retaining frame back into the shaving
unit, press the wheel and turn it clockwise.
2The shaver does not work when the on/off
button is pressed

Penting
Baca arahan penggunaan ini dengan teliti sebelum

◗Plag kuasa HQ800 menukarkan kuasa 100-240

Mengecas peralatan
Anda tidak boleh menggunakan pencukur semasa
ia sedang dicas kerana ia tidak akan berfungsi
semasa baterinya sedang dicaskan.
Untuk memanjangkan hayat bateri, jangan
tinggalkan alat pencukur bersambung ke kuasa
utama secara berterusan.
C1Pasangkan plag peralatan pada alat
pencukur.
2Pasangkan plag kuasa ke soket dinding.
Jangan mengecas apabila pencukur berada di
dalam uncang yang tertutup.
3Jika mengecas buat pertama kali atau
setelah alat pencukur telah lama tidak
digunakan: biarkan alat pencukur dicaskan
selama 12 jam secara berterusan.
Mengecas alat pencukur selalunya mengambil
masa kira-kira 8 jam.
4Cabut plag kuasa dari soket dinding dan
tarik keluar plag dari pencukur apabila
bateri sudah dicaskan sepenuhnya.
Pencukur yang dicas penuh ada masa bercukur
tanpa kord sehingga kira-kira 30 minit.

Menggunakan peralatan
Mencukur
1Hidupkan alat pencukur dengan menekan
butang hidup/mati sekali.
C2Gerakkan kepala pencukur secara lurus
dan membulat di atas permukaan kulit
dengan cepat.
Hasil pencukuran yang terbaik akan didapati jika
muka anda kering.
Kulit anda mungkin memerlukan 2 atau 3 minggu
untuk membiasakan diri dengan sistem Philishave.
3Matikan pencukur dengan menekan butang
hidup/mati sekali.
C4Pasang semula tutup pelindung pada
pencukur setelah setiap penggunaan untuk
mengelakkan kerosakan.
Perapian
Untuk jambang dan kumis kemas.
C1Buka pemotong dengan menekan selak ke
atas.
Pemotong dapat dihidupkan semasa motor
berjalan.

Pembersihan dan penyenggaraan
BCara termudah dan tersihat untuk membersihkan
peralatan ialah dengan membilaskan unit
pencukur dan ruang rambut dengan air panas
(60cC-80cC) setiap kali selepas digunakan.
BMembersih alat pencukur secara kerapkali
menjamin prestasi pencukuran terbaik.
BApabila anda mencuci alat pencukur ini, anda
tidak perlu membuka kepala pencukur
(pemotong dan adangan). Jika anda ingin
membuka kepala pencukur, pastikan unit
adangan dan pemotong tidak bercampur-aduk
kerana hanya set adangan dan pemotong yang
berpadanan sahaja yang akan memastikan mutu
pencukuran yang terbaik. Jika anda tercampur-
adukkan set pemotong dan adangan dengan
tidak sengaja, kemungkinan akan mengambil
masa sehingga beberapa minggu sebelum mutu
pencukuran terbaik dapat dicapai semula.
C◗Philishave Action Clean (bahan pembersih
kepala-kepala pencukur, jenis HQ100)
terdapat untuk pembersihan yang mudah dan
optimum. Untuk mendapatkan maklumat

Pembuangan bateri
Bateri yang boleh dicas semula yang terbina dalam
mengandungi bahan yang boleh mencemarkan
alam sekitar.
Alihkan bateri jika anda ingin membuang alat
pencukur. Jangan buang bateri dengan sampah
biasa, serahkannya ke tempat pemungutan rasmi.
Anda juga boleh menyerahkan bateri kepada
Pusat Servis Philips yang akan membuangnya
dengan selamat dan secara mesra alam.

Jangan bersihkan lebih dari satu pemotong dan

ia mungkin mengambil masa sehingga beberapa
minggu sebelum mutu pencukuran terbaik dapat
