Introduction
This iron has been approved by The Woolmark Company Pty Ltd for
the ironing of wool only products provided that the garments are ironed
according to the instructions on the garment label and those issued by the
manufacturer of this iron. R1501. In United Kingdom, Eire, HongKong and
India, the Woolmark trademark is a Certication trademark.

Using your appliance
Filling the water tank
Fill the water tank before every use and when the ‘water tank empty’
light ashes.
Do not add perfume, water from the tumble dryer, vinegar, starch,
descaling agents, ironing aids, chemically descaled water or other
chemicals, as they may cause water spitting, brown staining or damage to
your appliance.

1 Removethewatertankfromtheapplianceandllitwithtapwater
up to the MAX indication.
Tip:Your appliance has been designed for use with tap water. If you live
in an area with very hard water, scale builds up quickly. In this case it is
recommended to use distilled water to prolong the life of your appliance.
2 Put the water tank back into the appliance by sliding in the bottom
partrst.Thenpushthetoppartuntilitlocksintoplace.
’Water tank empty’ light
When the water tank is almost empty, the ‘water tank empty’ light goes on.
Fill the water tank and press the steam trigger to let the appliance heat up
again. When the ‘iron ready’ light lights up continuously, you can continue
steam ironing.
OptimalTempTechnology
The Optimal Temp Technology enables you to iron all types of ironable
fabrics, in any order, without adjusting the iron temperature setting.
Fabrics with these symbols are ironable, for example linen, cotton, polyester,
silk, wool, viscose and rayon.
Fabrics with this symbol are not ironable. These fabrics include synthetic
fabrics such as Spandex or elastane, Spandex-mixed fabrics and polyolens
(e.g. polypropylene), but also prints on garments.

Ironing
1 Place the steam generator on a stable and even surface.
2 Make sure that there is enough water in the water tank
(see section ‘Filling the water tank’).
3 Put the mains plug in an earthed wall socket and press the on/off
buttontoswitchonthesteamgenerator.Thebluepower-onlighton
theapplianceandthe‘ironready’lightstarttoashtoindicatethat
the appliance is heating up (this takes approx. 2 minutes).
,When the appliance is ready for use, the ‘iron ready light’ and the
power-onlightstopashingandlightupcontinuously.Additionally
you hear a short beep.
4 Press the carry lock release button to unlock the iron from the iron
platform.
5 Press and hold the steam trigger to start ironing.
Never direct steam at people.
Steam boost function
The steam boost function is designed to help tackle difcult creases.
- Double press the steam trigger for a continuous shot of steam.
It is not necessary to press and hold the steam trigger continuously
when the steam boost function is activated. To stop the steam boost
function, press the steam trigger once.

Vertical ironing
Hot steam is emitted from the iron. Never attempt to remove creases
from a garment that someone is wearing. Do not apply steam near your
or someone else’s hand.
You can use the iron in vertical position to remove wrinkles from hanging
fabrics.
1 Hold the iron in vertical position, press the steam trigger and touch
the garment slightly with the soleplate.
Putting down the iron during ironing
- During ironing, you can place the iron either on the iron platform
or horizontally on the ironing board. Thanks to the OptimalTemp
technology, the soleplate will not damage the ironing board cover.
Energy saving
ECO mode
-
By using the ECO mode (reduced amount of steam), you can save
energy without compromising on the ironing result. The green light is on.
- You can deactivate the ECO mode by pressing the ECO button.
The green light goes off.
Safety auto-off mode
- To save energy, the appliance switches off automatically when it has not
been used for 10 minutes. The auto-off light in the on/off button starts
to ash.
- To activate the appliance again, press the on/off button. The appliance
then starts to heat up again.
Note:The appliance is not switched off completely when it is in safety auto-off
mode.To switch off the appliance, press the on/off button.

Turbo steam
For faster ironing and a higher amount of steam, you can use Turbo steam.
1 Press and hold the on/off button for 2 seconds until the light turns
white.

Ironing tips
Minimising wrinkles while drying
Start wrinkle removal early in the drying process by spreading out your
laundry properly after washing and by putting garments on hangers to
make them dry naturally with fewer wrinkles.
Best practice shirt ironing
Start with the time-consuming parts like collar, cuff links and sleeves.
Next, iron the bigger parts like front and back to prevent wrinkling the
bigger parts when you are busy ironing the time-consuming parts.
Collar: When you iron a collar, start on its underside and work from the
outside (the pointy end) inwards. Turn over and repeat. Fold down the
collar and press the edge for a more crisp nish.
Buttons: Iron on the reverse side of the buttons for more effective and
faster ironing.
Cleaning and maintenance
To properly maintain your appliance, clean the iron and the appliance
regularly.

2 Toeasilyandeffectivelyremovestainsfromthesoleplate,switchon
the appliance and let it heat up.When the appliance has heated up,

IMPORTANT - DESCALING
It is very important to perform the descaling procedure as
soon as the EASY DE-CALC light starts to ash and the
appliance beeps continuously.
The EASY DE-CALC light ashes and the appliance beeps continuously
after about a month or 10 ironing sessions to indicate that the appliance
needs to be descaled. Perform the following descaling procedure
before you continue ironing.
To avoid the risk of burns, unplug the appliance and let it cool
down for at least two hours before you perform the descaling
procedure.
1 Remove the plug from the wall socket.
2 Place the appliance on the edge of the tabletop.
3 Hold a cup (with a capacity of at least 350ml) under the
EASYDE-CALCknobandturntheknobanticlockwise.
4 RemovetheEASYDE-CALCknobandletthewaterwithscale
particlesowintothecup.
5 When no more water comes out of the appliance, reinsert the
EASYDE-CALCknobandturnitclockwisetofastenit.

Storage
1 Switch off the appliance and unplug it.
2 Remove the water tank and empty it.
3 Put the iron on the iron platform. Push the carry lock to lock the
iron onto the platform.
4 Fold the supply hose and mains cord. Put them in their respective
storage compartments.
5 You can carry the appliance with one hand by the handle of the iron.
Do not carry the appliance by holding the water tank release lever.

PerfectCare is safe on all garments. The
shine or imprint is not permanent and will
come off if you wash the garment. Avoid
ironing over seams or folds or you can place
a cotton cloth over the area to be ironed to
avoid imprints at seams and folds.
The appliance does
not produce any
steam.
There is not enough water in
the water tank (the ‘water tank
empty’ light ashes).
Fill the water tank (see chapter ‘Using your
appliance’, section ‘Filling the water tank’).
The appliance is not hot enough
to produce steam. Wait until the ‘iron ready’ light on the iron lights up continuously.
You did not press the steam
trigger. Press the steam trigger and keep it pressed while you iron.
The water tank is not placed in
the appliance properly. Slide the water tank back into the appliance rmly (‘click’).
The appliance is not switched on. Insert the plug in the wall socket and press
the on/off button to switch on the appliance.
The appliance has
switched off. The
light in the on/off
button ashes.
The auto-off function is activated
automatically when the appliance
has not been used for more than
10 minutes.
Press the power on/off button to switch on
the appliance again.
The appliance
produces a pumping
sound.

Den Wassertank füllen
Füllen Sie den Wassertank vor jeder Verwendung und wenn die Anzeige
“Wassertank leer” aueuchtet.
Verwenden Sie kein parfümiertes Wasser,Wasser aus dem
Wäschetrockner, Essig, Stärke, Entkalkungsmittel, Bügelzusätze, chemisch

um das Gerät wieder aufheizen zu lassen. Wenn die Bereitschaftsanzeige
dauerhaft aueuchtet, können Sie mit dem Dampfbügeln fortfahren.
OptimalTEMP-Technologie
Mit der Optimal TEMP-Technologie können Sie alle bügelechten Textilien
ohne Einstellung der Bügeltemperatur bügeln.
Stoffe mit diesen Symbolen sind bügelecht, z. B. Leinen, Baumwolle,
Polyester, Seide,Wolle,Viskose und Reyon.
Stoffe mit diesem Symbol sind nicht bügelecht. Zu diesen Stoffen gehören
Synthetikfasern wie zum Beispiel Lycra oder Elastan, Lycra-Mischgewebe
und Polyolene (z. B. Polypropylen), aber auch Kleidungsstücke mit
Aufdruck.

Bügeln

Dampfstoß-Funktion
Die Dampfstoß-Funktion wurde entwickelt, um hartnäckige Falten zu
glätten.
- Drücken Sie den Dampfauslöser zweimal für einen konstanten
Dampfausstoß. Es ist nicht erforderlich, den Dampfauslöser dauerhaft
gedrückt zu halten, wenn die Dampfstoß-Funktion aktiviert ist.
Um die Dampfstoß-Funktion zu beenden, drücken Sie den
Dampfauslöser einmal.

Vertikales Bügeln
Aus dem Bügeleisen tritt heißer Dampf aus.Versuchen Sie nicht, Falten
auseinemKleidungsstückzuentfernen,dassichamKörperbendet.
Verwenden Sie Dampf nicht in der Nähe Ihrer Hände oder der Hände
einer anderen Person.
Sie können das Bügeleisen in senkrechter Position verwenden, um Falten
aus hängenden Kleidungsstücken zu entfernen.
1 Halten Sie das Bügeleisen in senkrechter Position, drücken Sie den
Dampfauslöser, und berühren Sie das Kleidungsstück leicht mit der
Bügelsohle.
Abstellen des Bügeleisens während des Bügelns
- Während des Bügelns können Sie das Bügeleisen entweder auf der
Abstelläche oder horizontal auf dem Bügelbrett positionieren.
Dank der OptimalTemp-Technologie wird der Bügelbrettbezug von der
Bügelsohle nicht beschädigt.
Energiespareinstellung
ECO-Modus (Ökomodus)
- Durch Verwendung des ECO-Modus (verringerte Dampfmenge)
können Sie Energie sparen, ohne Kompromisse beim Bügelergebnis
einzugehen. Die grüne Anzeige leuchtet.
- Sie können den ECO-Modus deaktivieren, indem Sie die ECO-Taste
drücken. Die grüne Anzeige erlischt.
Modus automatische Sicherheitsabschaltung
- Um Energie zu sparen, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch aus, wenn
es 10 Minuten lang nicht verwendet wurde, und die Anzeige für die
automatische Sicherheitsabschaltung am Ein-/Ausschalter blinkt.
- Um das Gerät wieder zu aktivieren, drücken Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter.
Das Gerät beginnt dann wieder aufzuheizen.
Hinweis: Das Gerät ist nicht vollständig ausgeschaltet, wenn es sich im
Modus für die automatische Sicherheitsabschaltung bendet. Um das Gerät

Turbodampf
Für schnelleres Bügeln und eine größere Menge an Dampf können Sie
Turbodampf verwenden.
1 HaltenSiedenEin-/Ausschalter2Sekundenlanggedrückt,
bis die Anzeige weiß leuchtet.
2 UmTurbodampfzudeaktivieren,haltenSiedenEin-/Ausschalter
erneut 2 Sekunden lang gedrückt, bis die Anzeige blau leuchtet.
Bügeltipps
Verringern von Falten beimTrocknen
Beginnen Sie mit der Faltenentfernung schon früh beim Trocknen, indem Sie
Ihre Wäsche nach dem Waschen richtig ausbreiten und Sie Kleidungsstücke
auf Kleiderbügel hängen, damit Sie natürlich mit weniger Falten trocknen.
Einfaches Hemdenbügeln
Beginnen Sie mit den zeitaufwändigen Teilen wie dem Kragen, den
Manschetten und den Ärmeln. Bügeln Sie als nächstes die größeren Teile
wie die Vorder- und Rückseite, damit Sie den größeren Teilen keine Falten
hinzufügen, wenn Sie die zeitaufwändigen Teile bügeln.
Kragen: Wenn Sie einen Kragen bügeln, fangen Sie an der Unterseite
an, und arbeiten Sie sich von außen (dem spitzen Ende) nach innen vor.
Umdrehen und wiederholen. Falten Sie den Kragen nach unten,
und drücken Sie auf den Rand für ein schöneres Finish.
Knöpfe: Bügeln Sie auf der Rückseite der Knöpfe für ein effektiveres und
schnelleres Bügeln.
Reinigung und Wartung
Um Ihr Gerät ordnungsgemäß zu warten, sollten Sie das Bügeleisen und
das Gerät regelmäßig reinigen.

können Sie mit etwas Spülmittel entfernen.
2 Um Flecken einfach und effektiv von der Bügelsohle zu entfernen,
schalten Sie das Gerät ein, und warten Sie, bis es aufgeheizt ist.

WICHTIG - ENTKALKEN
Es ist sehr wichtig, den Entkalkungsvorgang durchzuführen,
sobald die EASY DE-CALC-Anzeige beginnt zu blinken und das
Gerät einen dauerhaften Signalton ausgibt.
Nach ca. einem Monat oder 10 Bügelvorgängen blinkt die EASY DE-
CALC-Anzeige, und das Gerät gibt einen dauerhaften Signalton aus, um
anzuzeigen, dass das Gerät entkalkt werden muss. Führen Sie den
folgenden Entkalkungsvorgang aus, bevor Sie das Bügeln
fortsetzen.
ZurVermeidung vonVerbrennungsgefahr trennen Sie vor dem
Entkalkungsvorgang das Gerät vom Stromnetz und lassen Sie
es mindestens zwei Stunden abkühlen

der Schaumstoff abgenutzt ist. Sie können
auch eine zusätzliche Lage Filztuch unter den
Bügelbrettbezug legen, um die Kondensation
zu verhindern. Filz können Sie in einem
Stoffgeschäft kaufen.
Sie besitzen möglicherweise
einen Bügelbrettbezug, der für
die starken Dampfstöße des
Geräts nicht geeignet ist.
Legen Sie eine zusätzliche Lage Filztuch unter
den Bügelbrettbezug, um die Kondensation
zu verhindern. Filz können Sie in einem
Stoffgeschäft kaufen.
Wasser tropft aus
der Bügelsohle. Der Dampf, der noch im Schlauch vorhanden war, ist
abgekühlt und ist zu Wasser
kondensiert. Dadurch laufen
Wassertropfen aus der
Bügelsohle.
Halten Sie das Bügeleisen einige Sekunden lang
von der Kleidung weg.
Dampf und/oder
Wasser tritt unter
dem EASY DE-
CALC-Verschluss
aus.
Der EASY DE-CALC-Verschluss
ist nicht fest genug angezogen. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, und lassen Sie das Gerät zwei Stunden lang abkühlen. Schrauben
Sie den EASY DE-CALC-Verschluss ab und
dann wieder richtig auf das Gerät. Hinweis: Es
kann etwas Wasser austreten, wenn Sie den
Verschluss abnehmen.
