All Hearit products are designed to be easy to use, powerful and robust. The
renowned sound quality and reliability which Hearit is known for is consistent in
all models. The different products are designed to work either with or without
hearing aids. This means they are ideal for people who only need a boost in
certain circumstances, those that cannot wear or use traditional hearing aids
and for those who are undergoing medical treatment. The Hearit range is
designed for listening to conversations in busy environments, listening to the TV
and presentations made in public buildings. In all of these situations either the
microphone or if a loop is present, the tele coil function, can be used to hear
what is being said or broadcast.

troubleshooting
Hearit is silent
• Check that the headphones are connected to the correct jack. See
point

page 7
•
Make sure that the sound is turned on. See point 4. page 8
• Check that the batteries are correctly inserted. See

• The batteries may be dead. Try new ones.
Hearit “whistles”
Most hearing aids are sensitive to feedback if the microphone is too close to the
headphones. Increase the distance or lower the volume.
replacing batteries
When the indicator lamp becomes faint, it
is time to replace the batteries. Make sure
Hearit is turned off (the volume control
should be on zero).
Open battery cover and remove old batteries
and put in new batteries. Make sure they
face the right direction, as shown by the
diagram in the battery compartment. Close
the cover and check that the indicator lamp
lights when you turn on Hearit.

Other disturbances
All electronic equipment and especially sound amplifiers such as radio/TV
sets, tape recorders, hearing aids etc. may be affected by radio waves and
magnetic fields.
E.g. Hearit may be disturbed by mobile phones (type GSM and others) used
within 2-3 meters distance from the amplifier. The disturbance appears as a
tone or a buzzing sound. It is not harmful but may lead to a deteriorated sound
recording. To achieve the best function of the Hearit it should thus not be used
in close proximity of a digital mobile phone.
If you still have trouble after trying the ideas above please contact your local
supplier (see information on back cover).
