Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of another ne wireless product
from Phonic. The W5 digital wireless audio systems are small,
compact units that can securely send your audio signal up to 100
meters without fear of noise, hum or interference present in UHF
systems. Each W5 system consists of a transmitter unit – featur-
ing RCA and USB audio inputs – and one or two receiver units
– each of which has RCA and Optical S/PDIF outputs. Receiver
units feature built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries which
can last up to 3 hours of continuous use. Using 2.4 GHz spread
spectrum modulation technology, the W5 systems revolutionize
wireless audio as we know it.

Transmitter Unit
1. Stereo RCA Inputs
Connect any consumer-level device to these RCA inputs and you can
wirelessly send the device’s signal to the receiver unit.
2. USBInput
Connecting this mini USB connector directly to your computer’s USB
port will allow you to send your computer’s stereo audio signal wire-
lessly using the W5 system.
3. DC Power Input
Connect the provided DC power adapter to this input and to a nearby
AC power outlet of a suitable voltage.
4. Channel Button and Indicator
Pushing this button will swap the signal currently used by the transmit-
ter between the USB and RCA inputs.
5. RF Button and Indicator
Push and hold this button in concert with the receiver unit’s RF button
and a wireless link will be established between the two. The blue
LED indicator below the button will ash briey and then remain on
to show that a connection has been established.
6. Power Button and Indicator
Push and hold this button for 2 seconds to turn the unit on. An active
unit will be accompanied by an illuminated LED (green). Push this
button once again to turn the unit off.
7. Antenna (not pictured)
Located at the side of the transmitter, this threaded connector is
used to attach the provided antenna units to the W5 to increase the
transmission range.

Receiver Unit
1. Stereo RCA Outputs
These stereo outputs can be used to connect to a range of RCA-
equipped input devices, such as stereo systems, recording devices,
and even the 2-track Return connectors on professional mixers.
2. Optical S/PDIF Output
This TOSlink connector can be used with an optical cable to connect
to external devices with Optical S/PDIF input.
3. DC Power Input
This DC power inlet is used to connect to the provided DC power
adapter. The power adapter is used not only to power the W5 receiver
unit, but also to charge the built-in battery.

4. RF Button and Indicator
Push and hold this button whilst doing the same on the transmitter
unit, and a connection between to two should be established. The
blue LED indicator located below this button will ash briey. The
LED will stop ashing and remain on to indicate a connection has
been established.
5. Power Button and Indicator
Push and hold this button for 2 seconds to activate the receiver unit.
The small LED indicator directly below this button will light up when
the unit is turned on. Push the Power button to turn off the unit.
The Power indicator will light up amber when the unit is charging (dif-
ferent shades depending if the unit is on or off). When the battery is
in use, or is fully charged, the LED will either be off (when the unit is
off) or green (when the unit is on)
6. Antenna (not pictured)
Located at the side of the receiver unit, this threaded connector is
used to attach the provided antenna units to the W5 to better the
unit’s reception.

Operating the W5 System
Establishing a Connection
Pushing and briey holding down the RF buttons on the transmit-
ter and receiver units simultaneously will establish a connection
between the two. The blue RF indicator on both units will ash
for a moment and then remain on once the connection has been
established. You can also establish a connection by rst pushing
the transmitter’s RF button, then moving on and push the RF but-
ton on the receiver units - provided you do so within 5 seconds of
pushing the transmitter button. This method makes it easier for
connecting multiple receiver units.
If the connection between your transmitter and receiver contains
interference or is dropped periodically, you can push the RF button
on the transmitter unit to seek a new channel for transmission.
This should improve the signal quality signicantly.
Using the USB Input
Getting a stereo output signal from your computer is as easy as
plugging a USB cable between the mini-USB port on the transmitter
and the USB port on your computer. Any Windows 2000-, XP- or
Vista-enabled PC will then recognize and automatically install an
appropriate driver for the transmitter (please note that the W5
systems are not compatible with the Mac). Users will then be
able to adjust the Options in most of your computer’s programs
to allow them to send the audio output signal to the Phonic W5
system. It is also possible to set the W5 system as your default
audio output device.
Choosing an Input Signal
On the transmitter unit, the Channel button can be pushed and
held to select between the RCA inputs or USB input as the cur-
rently used source. The selected signal will be sent wirelessly to
the receiver units.
Receiver Unit Battery
The Lithium-ion battery built into the W5’s receiver units will last for
up to 2 hours and 40 minutes of continuous use. When the battery
is low, the Power indicator will ash red. The battery will take up
to 2 hours to fully charge when the receiver unit is turned off, and
up to 5 hours when the receiver unit is in use. When charging,
the Power LED will be colored amber. The Power indicator will
turn off when the battery is charged, or will be green if the battery
is charged and in use.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Felicitaciones por su compra de otro producto inalámbrico no
de Phonic. Los sistemas de audio inalámbrico digital W5 son
unidades pequeñas, compactas que pueden enviar con seguridad
su señal de audio hasta 100 metros sin miedo del ruido, zumbido
o interferencia presente en sistemas UHF. Cada sistema W5
consiste de una unidad transmisor –con entradas de audio RCA
y USB- y una o dos unidades de receptor –cada una tiene salidas
S/PDIF Optico y RCA. Las unidades de receptor poseen baterías
integradas recargables de Litio-ion que pueden durar hasta 3
horas de uso continuo. Utilizando tecnología de modulación de

UNIDAD TRANSMISOR
1. Entradas RCA Estéreo
Conecte cualquier dispositivo del nivel de consumidor a estas

UNIDAD RECEPTOR
1. Salidas RCA Estéreo
Estas salidas estéreas pueden ser utilizadas para conectar con una
gama de dispositivos de entrada RCA-equipados, tales como los
sistemas estéreos, dispositivos de grabación e incluso conectadores
de Retorno de 2-pistas en mezcladoras profesionales.
2. Salida de S/PDIF Óptica

4. Botón RF e Indicador
Pulse y mantenga este botón mientras haciendo lo mismo en la unidad
del transmisor y, una conexión entre los dos debe ser establecida.
El indicador LED azul localizado debajo de este botón destellará
brevemente. El LED parará de destellar y permanecerá encendido
para indicar que una conexión ha sido establecida.

OPERANDO W5
Estableciendo una Conexión
Pulsando y manteniendo brevemente los botones de RF en las uni-
dades del transmisor y receptor simultáneamente se establecerá
una conexión entre los dos. El indicador azul de RF en ambas
unidades se destellará por un momento y luego permanecerá
encendido una vez que la conexión ha sido establecida. Usted
también puede establecer una conexión pulsando primero el
botón RF del transmisor, después moviéndose y pulse el botón
del RF en las unidades del receptor - con tal que lo haga dentro
5 segundos de pulsar el botón del transmisor. Este método hace
que sea más fácill para conectar unidades múltiples del receptor.
Si la conexión entre su transmisor y receptor contiene interfer-
encia o se interrumpe periódicamente, usted puede pulsar el
botón de RF en la unidad del transmisor para buscar un nuevo
canal para la transmisión. Esto debe mejorar la calidad de señal
signicamente.
Usando la Entrada USB
Conseguir una señal de salida estérea de su computadora es tan

con Windows 2000, XP o Vista reconocerá e instalará automática-

传送器
1. 立体声RCA输入

2. USB输入

3. DC电源输入

接收器
1. 立体声RCA输出

5. 电源控制钮和指示灯

建立无线连接
同时按下传送器与接收器的上的RF控制钮并保持，即可在传送器
和接收器之间建立无线连接。RF控制钮下方的蓝色LED指示灯将
急促地闪亮。无线连接稳定建立后该LED指示灯将停止闪亮保持
工作状态。或者，可首先按下传送器声道的RF控制钮，然后在按
下接收器上的RF控制钮——前提条件是，您必须在5秒内完成此
动作。此方法适用于连接多个接收器。
如果您的发射器和接收器之间的连接存在干扰或不时地中断，您
可以按下发射器的RF按钮以搜索新的声道用于信号传输。这样毫
无疑问地将改善信号的品质。
使用USB输入
使用USB连接线将传送器上的迷你型USB端口连接至计算机上
的USB接口即可从计算机获得立体声输出信号。任何Windows
2000-，XP-或兼容Vista的个人计算机将识别并自动安装适用于
传送器的软件(请特别注意W5与Mac机并不兼容)。之后，用户
即可调节计算机程序的选项，将音频信号输往Phonic W5系统。
您也可将W5系统设置为默认的音频输出设备。
选择输入信号
按下传送器上的声道控制按钮即可在USB和RCA输入间切换应用
的信号。选择的信号将无线地传送至接收器。
接收器电池
W5接收器内建的锂离子电池可持续为设备供电长达3小时。电池
电量过低时，电源指示灯将以红灯闪烁。若接收器关闭时，需使
用2个小时将电池充满，接收器开启时，需使用5个小时充满电池。
充电时，电源LED指示灯为琥珀色。电池充电完成电源指示灯将熄
灭，或者，边使用边对电池充电时，LED指示灯为绿色。
