A38 OHC Model Gas Engine User Manual

Thank you for purchasing A38 OHC Model Gas Engine, OHC is different with other structure engine, please read
manual clearly to learn and understand the correct way to use it before operation.

WARNING! This engine can cause severe even lethal harm to you. Please read all instructions before operating
this engine, and please take care of your safety especially when you’re operating this engine. We will not be
responsible for any safety issues caused by this engine.
This engine is not a toy, please be cautious when you are operating it.
You alone are responsible for your safe operation of your engine.
Never operate or fly it alone!
Check and make sure all bolts are tight before every operation!
This engine has an open drive system, please do not touch!
Carburetor is near to propeller, please be extreme cautious to adjust carburetor, never adjust while engine is
running!

Recommended Props:
2-blades: 19*8—20*10
3-blades: 16*10—17*10
Intake manifold and exhaust assembly:

Exhaust can be installed angle-free, please tight the locknut.
Carburetor should be connected with intake manifold. And Intake manifold must be Screw in cylinder head as
possible, and tight the locknut.
Engine lubrication:
Please brush few oil or grease on camshaft, rocker arm assy and timing belt each two hour running. Or you find this
system is dry. Usually brush one time with one flight day.
Use high quality oil or grease on this system.
There is a hole at crankshaft tail for depressurization, crankcase lubrication is always enough and squirts few from
here, if you find it is dry you can inject proper oil in. via this hole or plug hole.
Engine installation:
This engine can be installed upward or inverse.
Few oil might be squirted to firewall via crankshaft tail hole, so please stick some material on firewall to adsorb oil,
and replace it when it is dirty.
Please install a spinner on this engine.

Carburetoradjustment:

Engine Break-in:
Pl e a s e usefully syntheticoil.

Mi x t u r e oilratio at25:1. Afterbreak-in,40:1for g e n e r a l .
Break-in t i m e : t w o hour.
Duringenginei s break-in,pleasem a k e careful observationandresearch, understand andmasteralloperating
condition beforeflight.

Pl e a s e clean and l u b r i c a t e t h e enginewheny o u do not fly.
Check allboltsregularly.
