Introduction
Thank you for your purchase of this Pilotage Electronics 15A E-Base AC/DC converter station. This converter has been engineered and designed to fulfill the
needs of radio control modeling enthusiasts. This charger has been designed to offer an affordable yet safe means providing DC power to your DC chargers
while using power provided from your AC mains. It provides a stable supply of current that allows you to safely assemble a charging station indoors.
This AC/DC converter is suitable for novices and expert modelers alike. Please keep in mind that this product is not a toy. It is a sophisticated electronic device
that draws substantial current from AC mains. We hope that this product will serve you for years to come. Due to the sophisticated technical nature of this
item, it is important that you carefully review all the below warnings, precautions, warranty terms and operational instructions thoroughly to ensure safe use.
Please retain the box and this manual for future reference.
Due to the fact that Pilotage is constantly improving the quality and functional characteristics of its products, some details, colors, and functions may differ
slightly from the images presented on the box and in the instructions
Warranty
Pilotage Marketing LLP guarantees that this product is free from defects both in material and craftsmanship on the date of purchase. This guarantee does not
cover any component parts damaged by use or modification. Pilotage Marketing LLP’s liability will under no circumstances exceed the original cost of the
purchased item. Moreover, Pilotage Marketing LLP reserves the right to change or modify this warranty without notice.
If upon purchasing this product the buyer finds defects to the product as a result of the manufacturing process, he/she is recommended to return this prod-
uct to any Pilotage store located in the country of purchase to exchange or refund the product. Given that Pilotage Marketing LLP has no control over the
final assembly or use of this product, Pilotage Marketing LLP shall assume no liability for damage caused resulting from the use by the user of the product. By
using this product the user accepts all resulting liability.
If the purchaser of this product is not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of this item, they are advised to return it within 14 days of the
initial purchase to any Pilotage store in the country of purchase. The product must be in complete and unused condition along with receipt of purchase at the
moment of return.
The terms of the above warranty are not applicable on the territory of the Russian Federation.

Precautionary Measures
1. Do not use this item inside of a vehicle.
2. This item is to be used only from AC mains. Do not use any other type of power source when using this product.
3. This product is designed for indoor use only. Never attempt to use it outdoors.
4. Always follow any and all instructions that accompany your selected battery pack and charger to be used with this converter.
5. Prior to using your E-Base, ensure that the electrical mains in your region deliver current that matches the required power input for it.
6. Never leave batteries to charge unattended.
7. Ensure that the current supplied by the E-Base is sufficient to properly power your selected charger.
8. Use the E-Base on a fireproof surface.
9. Only charge battery packs that are comprised of one type of battery, and have the same charging capacity.
10. Never attempt to charge a battery pack if it appears to be damaged.
11. If the battery cell heats up rapidly or expands, cease charging immediately and do not use the battery.
12. Do not charge when the ambient temperature is extremely high.
13. Ensure that the E-Base is connected to your charger with the proper (+-) polarity.
14. Ensure that batteries have had a chance to cool prior to recharging, as cells may heat up significantly when discharged at high current rates.
15. Ensure that the charger and battery pack have access to fresh air for cooling.
16. Never cover the E-Base and charger with clothing, pillows or any other loose item while connected to a power source.
17. When charging batteries, do so in a dry, cool place away from flammable and combustible materials.
18. Never store or use the E-Base in direct sunlight.
19. Never expose the E-Base to any form of moisture. If it gets wet, cease from using it to prevent short-circuiting.
20. After charging a battery cell, always disconnect the battery from the charger. Never store battery cells when connected to the charger.
21. After using your charger, disconnect it from your E-Base, and turn off your E-Base and in turn disconnect it from your AC mains.
22. Never puncture a battery casing.
23. Protect your batteries from jolts, bumps, or any other form of trauma.
24. Should the battery leak fluid onto your skin, flush well with water and consult a medical professional immediately.
25. After use, always disconnect the E-Base from the AC mains.
26. Never disassemble the E-Base.
27. Never use this E-Base if the case has been removed, or if the leads from it are fayed or bent.
28. Never attach your charger to both a DC and an AC power source at the same time.
29. Never dispose of batteries or the E-Base in a fire.

Operational Instructions
1) Ensure that the power switch is in the “off” positon. The toggle switch should be pushed in on the side where there is the “o” marking.
2) Attach the E-Base from the output terminals to the input terminals on your selected charger. Ensure that polarity of this connection is followed,
the red (+) terminal on the E-Base should match up with the RED terminal and wire on the charger, likewise black (-) should match with black (-) on both
terminal and charger.
ATTENTION!!!! Pay careful attention to polarity, crossing or switching polarity could damage your E-Base, Charger, and could lead to causing a fire hazard!!!

3) Insert the AC Adaptor cord connector into the corresponding socket on the E-Base. Then plug the AC Adaptor cord into your wall socket.
4) Turn the E-Base “on” by pressing the power switch so that the vertical line “I” is depressed. The power status LED should illuminate and the cooling fan will
begin to run. This all indicates that your power supply is operational and your charger should turn on subsequently.
5) The E-Base features overheat short circuit, and excess current protection. If any of these events occur, the E-Base will cut-off until the problem is resolved.
6) After use, turn the E-Base off. Then disconnect it from the AC Mains, and disconnect the charger from the E-Base.

Меры предосторожности

2. Не оставляйте источник питания включенным в сеть без нагрузки.
3. Не модернизируйте, не разбирайте, не включайте источник питания без корпуса.
4. Не подвергайте источник питания воздействию прямых солнечных лучей.
5. Не подвергайте прибор воздействию влаги. Используйте источник питания только в сухом помещении при температуре не ниже +5 и не выше
+40 градусов Цельсия.
6. Не используйте источник питания в условиях высоких температур, вблизи источников тепла или открытого пламени.
7. Не накрывайте одеждой, подушками или другими предметами источник питания, когда он подключен в сеть. Обеспечьте приток свежего
воздуха для охлаждения прибора.
8. Не используйте источник питания радом с легковоспламеняющимися предметами.
9. Не подключайте источник питания в сеть одновременно с подключением к нему потребителя постоянного тока.
10. Не путайте полярность при подключении к источнику питания потребителей постоянного напряжения, это может привести к повреждению
приборов.
11. Для питания устройства используйте только бытовую сеть с соответствующим напряжением.
12. При повреждении кабеля питания или других проводов запрещается использовать источник питания. Это может привести к несчастному случаю.
13. Если источник питания во время работы сильно нагревается, изменяет форму или издает необычный запах, немедленно прекратите процесс
отключите его от сети и от потребителей постоянного тока.

Эксплуатация блока питания
1) Убедитесь, что выключатель источника питания выключен (установлен в положении “O”).
2) Подсоедините к источнику питания кабель с вилкой для подключения к бытовой сети ~220В. Убедитесь, что он вставлен надежно.
3) Подсоедините положительный (+) разъем потребителя постоянного напряжения к красному (+) гнезду источника питания, а отрицательный (-)
разъем к черному гнезду источника питания.

4) Вставьте вилку кабеля в розетку бытовой сети ~220В.
5) Включите выключатель источника питания, установив его в положение “I”. Индикатор будет светиться красным, а встроенный вентилятор начнет
вращаться. Потребитель постоянного напряжения должен работать. Если по какой-либо причине устройство, подключенное к E-Base, потребляет
ток более 15А или источник питания сильно нагреется, сработает автоматическая защита, источник питания выключится до устранения причин
срабатывания защиты.
6) Для выключения источника питания переключите выключатель, установив его в положение “O”, отсоедините вилку кабеля источника питания от
розетки бытовой сети.
