Purpose
This bulletin provides additional commands for a DVD-V7200 with the installed firmware version 2.20. Basic
commands may be found in the Advanced Operating Instructions included with your unit.
Commands
MENU CALL (DVD only)
Function: Search the Menu and resume playing a title
Format: argMC
Explanation: Sending this command to the player calls up a disc’s route menu or title menu. After showing
the selected menu, the player returns to the same point on the disc prior to receiving the
command and continues playback.
*To specify the Title Menu, set the argument to 1
*To specify the Route Menu, set the argument to 2
To continue playback, send the command MC<CR> to the player. The completion status Ris
returned immediately and the disc playback continues.
If there is no menu on the disc or within that Title, the player returns an error message (E04).

MC<CR> R<CR> Resume
NUMERIC BUTTON (DVD only)
Function: Select and execute the command of an on-screen button
Format: argNB
Explanation: Sending this command to a player that is displaying a disc menu selects and executes an on-
screen button. This command is identical to pressing a numeric key on the remote control.
The completion status Ris returned immediately if a valid button number is sent to the player.

If an invalid button number is requested, the player returns an error message (E04).

BUTTON SELECT (DVD only)
Function: Select a button from the menu
Format: argCU
Explanation: Sending this command to a player that is displaying a disc menu selects an on-screen button.
This command is identical to pressing an arrow key on the remote control.
*To move up (á) one button, set the argument to 1
*To move down (â) one button, set the argument to 2
*To move left (ß) one button, set the argument to 3
*To move right (à) one button, set the argument to 4
The completion status Ris returned immediately if a valid direction request is sent to the player.
If an invalid direction is requested, the player still returns a status R.

2CU<CR> R<CR> Selects a button one step
below the previously
selected button
ENTER BUTTON (DVD only)
Function: Execute the command for a pre-selected button
Format: ET
Explanation: Sending this command to a player activates the button selected with the argCU command.
The completion status Ris returned immediately if the button is activated.
If an invalid activation is requested, the player returns an error message (E04).

Expansion Usage of the ENTER BUTTON Command
Function: Equivalent to a left-click of the mouse
Format: argET
Explanation: Sending this command to a player is equivalent to clicking the left mouse button. The position is
specified by an X (horizontal value between 0 and 719) and an Y (vertical value between 0 and
479). The values of X and Y are listed in a six-digit numeric sequence. The upper left corner of
the screen is equal to 00 and the lower right corner equal to 719479.
The completion status Ris returned immediately if the location is appropriate.
Note: The player does not determine if a button is at that location.
If an invalid button location is requested, the player returns an error message (E04).
