LOCATION - The appliance should be insialled in a
stable localion.
WALL OR CEILING MOUNTING - Th€ applianco

VENTILATION - The sppliance should be situated so
that its localion or position does not interfere wilh
its proper venlilation. For example, the appliance
should not be siluated on a bed, sola, rug, or
similar surlace thal may block the venlilation open-

bookcase or cabinet lhat maY impede the tlow ol
air through the ventilalion openings.

This unit is provided with a demonstration mode
When this function is used, the various indicator functions
are shown on the display Panel.
To start the demonstlation mode:
1. Set to the STAND-BY (Power OFF) condition'
2. While holding the TV ANT switch pressed, press the
POWER switch.
o After all the display indicators light, operation begins,
and the controls will be set as follows:
VOLUME - MIN
BALANCE - CENTER
SURROUND VOLUME (VSX-5000 onlv) - MID
TONE - FLAT (normal)
This mode will continue until anY switch other than the
MASTER VOLUME (VOLUME) switch is pressed'
By setting the desired volume, this mode can be main-
tained. Also, if you press any switch other than the
MASTER VOLUME (volume), the unit will stop.
