Typical maintenance of the Platinum Pure air purifier is recommended
replacement of the UVGI (Ultra-Violet Lamp, With No Ozone) every 9,000
hours (Approximately every year).

Installation Steps:
1. Determine a suitable location to install the module. Mounting location
should be of sufficient strength as to support the module; otherwise reinforce-
ment of the ductwork may be necessary. The module should be installed after
filtration and before any branches in the ductwork.
2. When a suitable location is determined, drill a 4.75” hole for installation of
the module.
3. Make sure to remove protective bag from around lamp which is was used
for shipping purposes.
4. Ensure Platinum Pure position actuator is in closed position (Fig 1.). Attach
square mounting gasket (supplied) to the bottom of the module. Life module,
place against ductwork and fasten module in place with the four self-tapping
screws (supplied) in lower and upper mounting positions.
5. Once installed, push in and relocate the Platinum Pure actuators to the
open position (Fig. 2A & 2B), this ensures you maximize the surface area of
the titanium infused carbon to allow maximum performance.

Lamp Replacement Procedure:
1. Unplug power cord and remove the power module
front cover.
2. Remove lamp screws and pull lamp out of oxidation
module. (Fig 3A. & Fig 3B.)
3. Install new lamp and fasten with lamp screws.
4. Place the power module front cover back onto the
unit, and fasten.
5. Plug in the power cord.

The ultra-violet lamp is shipped installed in the
Platinum Pure and should be replaced during an
annual service. To replace the UV lamp, follow the
these steps:
Safety Precautions:
It is recommended that this unit is installed and maintained by a trained
technician. Protect eyes from ultra-violet light. NEVER look at UV lamps in
operation (glowing/on). Unplug or disconnect power before servicing the
Platinum Pure.
WARNING: DO NOT operate outside of the air handler. This unit is intended to
be installed in an HVAC system.
WARNING: No openings should be allowed which would give direct
line-of-sight to the Platinum Pure Ultra-Violet Light.
WARNING: Severe eye damage or temporary blindless may occur if exposed.
Note: In the event of accidental breakage or replacement of the ultra-violet
lamp, please ensure that the lamp is disposed of in accordance with local and
environmental laws regarding fluorescent lamps containing mercury.
Notice: All wiring inside of the air handler in direct line-of-sight of the UV lamp
must be shielded with aluminum foil tape or equivalent non-combustible
material. When installing this unit, select a mounting location that prevents
ultra-violet light exposure to synthetic or other plastic components with
unknown resistance to ultra-violet light. Ultra-violet light may cause color shift
or structural degradation of plastic internal components.
