Connect the Source computer, Laptop or other device to the Inpsire amplifier using
USB Type A to USB Type B cable. Select the USB input on the Inspire amplifier. Open the
audio settings of the computer and select ‘XMOS USB Audio 2.0’ as the audio output.
NOTE: Setting this as the ‘default audio output’ will ensure it is selected automatically
whenever the Inspire Integrated is connected and out of standby.
After the steps above are performed, launch the media player (iTunes, Windows Media
Player, VLC etc). Playback will now be output over USB to the Inspire amplifier. Consult
your Plinius dealer for further advice if required.
NOTE: The USB input can be used as an external soundcard for a computer USB
output. It cannot be used to play files directly from a mass storage drive.
USING NETWORK INPUT (INSPIRE 980 ONLY)
The Inspire 980 features a Network input socket for digital audio. The benefits of using
Network connection include wireless control, longer cable capabilities and higher
data transfer rates.
Connect the Inspire 980 to your home network router with a suitable network cable.
Install media server software on your computer or Network Attached Storage (NAS)
drive to manage the controller interface. Plinius recommend AssetUPnP or Twonky as
server software.
NOTE: Ensure the server software is set with the location of your music library files.
Use an appropriate controller such as Plinius Arataki for iPad to connected wirelessly to
your home network and select the source library as the server and Inspire 980 as the
player. Use the controller to select files, create playlists and control playback of the music.

USING WI-FI INPUT (INSPIRE 980 ONLY)
The Inspire 980 features a wireless antenna for connection to the network. This wireless
connection can be used in place of a cable between the router and the Inspire 980.
NOTE: Wireless/Wired mode is detected at power on. If a network cable is connected
when the amplifier is switched on, wireless mode cannot be used. To use wireless
mode the amplifier must be switched off, the cable must be removed and then the
amplifier switched on.
