MacR6 N is a compact telemetry data logger that allows you to monitor water flow, pressure in water supply, level
of water tanks and sewage systems using dedicated overlays. Thanks to the use of multi-technology modem, data
on the condition of the water supply network are sent via the LPWAN network CAT.M1 or NB-IoT technology or via
GSM 2G network. The device is designed to work completely submerged and is IP68 certified.
Installation of the MacR6 N on the water meter is short and simple, and it does not require specialized tools. The
data logger can simultaneously record the flow from two water meters and the pressure from one pressure sensor.
Thanks to the dedicated eWebTEL platform used for data aggregation, it is very easy to check the current state of
the network as well as historical data. This allows e.g. for quick detection of failures in the water supply network or
easier resolution of disputes with the customer.

·Registration of counters from associated flow meters or water meters with a configurable recording period
from 1 to 60 minutes. The numerator value is recorded in full resolution together with the fractional part in
m3. Each sample is identified by a time stamp and a unique record identifier
·Registration of minimum and maximum pressure values with independently configurable measurement
and recording period from 1 to 60 minutes
·Built-in inductive sensor for direct installation with a compatible water meter
·Built-in magnetic field sensor detects tampering attempts from a directly cooperating magnetic clutch
water meter
·Built-in water sensor around the device, register and detects ex. moment of flooding of the chamber and
restoring normal condition
·Built-in ambient temperature sensor
·Supports all types of impulse connections with flow direction support from up to two flowmeters attached
independently
·It has a geolocation position register for synchronizing the installation location with the associated telemetry
system
·It has a local communication interface in the NFC standard enabling local configuration of the device and
local reading of recorded data and alarms in CSV format.

Inputs
Inductive
pulse inputs
One inductive pulse input (biderectional). Input is designed to work with most
watermeters that are designed for pulse registration by external devices
Dedicated adapters for Itron, Diehl, Maddalena(Janz), Sensus watermeters
without loosing ability to read meter counter.
Designed to work even in permanent immersion
Maximum pulse input frequency: 5Hz
Device is equiped with 3 inductive sensors for maximum accuracy
Bistate/pulse
inputs
Depending on device version: one or two pulse inputs (bidirectional). Input type
is designed to work with reed switch pulse emitter or electronic non-potential
output
Inputs operation modes: DI1 A,DI1 B - forward pulse counting or digital input,
DI2 A,DI2 B - backward pulse counting or direction indication, or intrusion
indication
Open circuit voltage Voc: 3,3 V; internal resistance: 1,1 MΩ
Switching point „ON”: R < 100 kΩ, U < 0,27 V; „OFF”: R > 270 kΩ, U >
0,7 V
Maximum pulse inputs frequency: 40 Hz
Pulse length duration: >12,5 ms; pause between pulses: >12,5 ms
Sockets compatible with male type plug SP1310/P6IN WEIPU

Intrusion sensors
(1) external magnetic field, (2) logger housing opening, (3) flood sensor,
(4) logger removal
Internal power supply
Replaceable R20 (D-size) lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2) battery with
nominal voltage of 3,6V and capacity of 13 Ah
Lifetime
Depends on registration period, number of transmissions per month, operation
tempearature, GSM signal level. For example: 7 years of operation with one
transmission per 24h, GSM signal level (CSQ) = 28, temperature 21°C and
registration period 60 minutes.
Communication modem
•LTE CAT.M1
•LTE NB-IoT
•2G: 900 and 1800 MHz
Modem operates at full range of device operation temperature.
Data Usage
MacR6 N consumes about 0.5 kB of mobile data transfer, assuming: period
registration 60 minutes, data sent every 24 hours, registration of V1 meter
only. Real consumption values may differ due to different minimum
consumption billing transfer by operators.
SIM card
Micro-SIM (3FF) or Embedded-SIM (e-SIM)
Antenna options
Integrated external antenna with min. 3 meters long cable with maximum
energetic gain of 5dBi
Integrated internal antenna with maximum energetic gain of 3dBi

3. Insert the SIM card into the SIM holder, as in the
figure, and then install it in the socket.
4. Using syringe, tightly fill in the space around the
SIM card socket, its circuit board and cover. Place
the cover on the socket.
SIM card installation must be done in the area with
low air humidity.
Each piece of data logger has a sealing sillicone
gel included.

5. Screw on the housing cover using all 6 Torx
screws.
During configuration of logger parameters with ConfIT! data loggers mobile application, remember to
program card PIN code.
After SIM card installation is finished select how the logger will be connected to water meter. If you connect
it via internal inductive sensors read C2 DIRECT INSTALLATION (ADAPTERS) sub-section. If you
connect via external pulse transmitter read C3 INSTALLATION USING EXTERNAL… sub-section.

Direct installation on counter of water meter is possible by using PLUM dedicated adapters. Volume counting is
performed by proximity of inductive coils with water meter rotating wheel.
Each adapter is signed by the first two letters of manufacturer’s name which the
adapter is designed for.
Before the installation we must clean face of the water meter as much as possible.

2. Install the adapter on water meter counter adjusting it to fit the marked sliders. Slide the adapter right to
place the adapter rigidly as in the figures. Tighten the screw to the fitting hole. Triangular window in the
adapter must be tangent to the rotating indicator of the totalizer.
