Connection
On the rear sloped section at the bottom of the cabinets there are three round Neutrik
sockets for connection to your amplifier using the supplied NL4FC Speakon loudspeaker
connector. Details on how to connect your cables to the plugs follows below.
The MB1 may be connected using two wires as standard, four wires for bi-wire or six wires for
tri-wire connection. They are factory set for standard two wire operation, however your dealer
is able to remove internal links on the crossover to enable bi-wiring and tri-wiring.
Standard two wire connection
Connect your loudspeaker cable to a Speakon plug and insert into any of the three rear
sockets illustrated below.
Bi-wire connection
Connect a Speakon plug to the two cables and insert the low frequency feed into the left
hand socket and the high frequency feed into the right hand socket. There is no connection
to the centre socket.(see illustration below)
Tri-wire connection
Connect a Speakon plug to the three cables and insert the low frequency feed into the left
hand socket, the mid frequency feed into the middle socket and the high frequency feed
into the right hand socket.(see illustration below)
The Neutrik Speakon
The use of the Neutrik Speakon provides loudspeakers with a dedicated input connector
which has been designed for high current loads. It avoids the problems with other methods of
termination such as binding posts and 4mm banana plugs and sockets. Most importantly it
offers a consistent, reliable and far superior high current termination.
