IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
If this is your first me using the Aqua-Dry Digital Kitchen Scale please be sure to remove the protecve insulaon tape from the baery compartment and protecve sheet
from the display before use..
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
1. If the baery symbol appears on the display, it is recommended to replace with new baeries to ensure opmum accuracy of the scale.
2. If the display shows ‘Lo’ and shuts off automacally, please replace the baeries immediately.
TO INSTALL / CHANGE BATTERIES
Warning: baeries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle baeries.
This item uses three AAA 1.5V baeries. In order to ensure proper performance, be sure to replace baeries as a simultaneous set. Baeries should be removed from the scale
if consumed or if the product is to be le unused for duraon of me. It is recommended to clean all baery contacts prior to installaon. Do not mix old and new baeries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (Carbon-Zinc), or rechargeable (Nickel Cadmium) baeries.
Always purchase the correct size and grade of baery most suitable for the intended use.
Replace all baeries of a set at the same me.
Ensure all baeries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and -).
Remove used baeries promptly.
1. Baery door is located on the back of the unit.
2. Push open the baery cover
3. Insert three AAA size baeries. Please ensure correct polarity of the baeries (+/-)
4. Replace baery door to secure cover in place.
DISPOSAL OF USED BATTERY:
Batteries may contain hazardous substances which could endanger the environment and human health.
This symbol marked on the battery and/or packaging indicates that used battery shall not be treated as municipal waste. Instead it shall be left at the appropriate
collection point for recycling.
By ensuring the used batteries are disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health. The recycling of
materials will help conserve natural resources.
For more information about collection and recycling of used batteries, please contact your local municipality, your waste disposal service or the point of sale where you
purchased this product.
TO TURN THE SCALE ON/OFF:
Place item on a flat surface before use.
1. Press the ON/OFF buon to turn scale ON. Aer a few seconds a 0:00 (for lb & oz) or 0 (for g/ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz) will appear.
The scale is ready to use.
2. Press and hold the buon ON/OFF for a few seconds to turn scale OFF.
NOTE: The auto shut-off feature will turn the scale off if not used for 150-seconds.
TO SWITCH BETWEEN WEIGHT & VOLUME:
With the scale on, press the UNIT buon at any me to switch between reading in imperial (pounds/ounces) and metric (grams) or fl:oz (water-based) and ml (water-based).
CAPACITY:
22.0 lb. / 10000 g / 352 fl:oz / 10 l. (displays in 0.125oz. / 1gram / 0.02fl.oz / 1ml increments).
HOW TO USE TARE (addive weighing) FEATURE:
1. Place first item on scale, scale will display weight of item.
2. Tap ON/OFF buon. Display will revert to “0” (for g) or “00” (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz).
3. Place second item on scale, scale will display weight of item.
4. Tap ON/OFF buon. Display will revert to “0” (for g) or “00” (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or 0.00 (for fl:oz).
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 unl all items have been weighed.
NOTE: there are two ways to set the scale at “0” when weighing items in a container.
1. Place the container on the scale before turning it ON.
2. If the scale is already ON, place the container on the scale and tap the ON/OFF buon which will revert the scale to “0” (for g) or “00” (for lb. and oz.) or 0 (for g or ml) or
0.00 (for fl:oz).
NOTE: the scale will read “o-Ld” if weight on scale is above the scale‘s capacity of 22.0 lb. / 10000 g / 352 fl:oz / 10 l.
WEIGHT CAPACITY INDICATOR:
The weight capacity indicator shows the used capacity of the scale between 0 and 22 lbs (or 0 and 10 kg, or 0 and 352 fl:ox or 10 l). When maximum capacity is reached, “o-Ld” will
appear on the display. To protect the scale, remove excess weight immediately.
USE AND CARE:
Unit is NOT dishwasher safe. Clean weighing surface with so cloth using soap and water. DO NOT PLACE IN DISHWASHER. Food grade Silicone Mat is dishwasher safe (top
rack only)
PRECAUTIONS:
1. Do not clean the unit with an abrasive or corrosive compound. It may scratch the housing and corrode the electronic circuit.
2. Do not overload the scale.
3. Do not subject the scale to excessive force, shock, dust, temperature, direct sunlight, heavy exposure to water or humidity. Doing so may result in
malfuncon, shorter electronic life span, baery damage or distorted parts.
4. Do not tamper with the unit’s internal components. It will invalidate the warranty.
ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY:
Polder will repair or at its opon replace this product without charge, other than shipping charges, if it is returned to the address below with
shipping charges prepaid, as being defecve, within one year of the date of purchase and provided that inspecon by the company indicates
it is defecve because of faulty workmanship or material. Please save your original receipt for this limited one year warranty to be valid. This
limited warranty does not cover damage to this product through accident or misuse, nor does it cover any incidental expense to the user
resulng from the non-funcon or malfuncon of this product.
CAUTION: Please note that changes or modificaons not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the
equipment.
NOTE: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to
provide reasonable protecon against harmful interference in a residenal installaon. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not
installed and used in accordance with the instrucons, may cause harmful interference to radio communicaons. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not
occur in a parcular installaon. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television recepon, which can be determined by turning the equipment off
and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separaon between the equipment and the receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced Radio/TV technician for help.
