Dear customers, we thank you for the trust you have placed in us by purchasing our sprayers. Every
sprayer manufactured by us is carefully designed, tested and subject to strict quality control.
However, the service life of the sprayer will largely depend on the use and maintenance of the sprayer.
Also, your safety and the safety of your environment depend on the way you use and handle the
sprayer.
Therefore, please study carefully and get acquainted in detail with the contents of this manual, and
make sure to FULLY COMPLY WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNINGS listed in the instructions.
This manual applies to the battery-powered back sprayer manufactured by POLINS DOO for the sprayer
model:

1. INTENDED USE
Back sprayer type BATTERY-POWERED BACK SPRAYER LiJON 12l can ONLY be used for water-soluble
agents intended for plant care: herbicides, insecticides, fungicides and plants nutrition products.
Be advised that the sprayer is not intended for use by children, persons with reduced psychophysical,
sensory and intellectual abilities.
When handling the sprayer, be sure to follow the INSTRUCTIONS, PROTECTION MEASURES AND
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEASURES.
The sprayer user is solely responsible for the consequences of improper use of the sprayer.

3. SPRAYER DESCRIPTION AND TECHNICAL INFORMATION
The BATTERY-POWERED BACK SPRAYER LiJON 12l is a battery-powered sprayer functioning by a charged
battery running the pump, which sucks in the liquid through the suction sieve and exerts pressure so
that the liquid from the sprayer pushes into the hose, from where it comes out under pressure through
the handle and the extension and is directed to the surface treated.
The technical data for the back sprayer is listed in the table below:

•The nature of the battery is such that it loses capacity during use (the period of efficient work is
shortened). The expected battery life until decrease of capacity to 50% is about 300 cycles or up to 1
year of use.

4. ASSEMBLING THE SPRAYER
The sprayer is shipped packed in a cardboard box, partially disassembled, as described in Chapter 2 of
this manual. Before first use it is necessary to:
1. Unpack the box and remove the parts from the box.
2. Place the attachment on the sprayer handle and screw them together.
5. PREPARING THE SPRAYER
1. Be sure to fully charge the battery - until the light on the automatic charger turns green.

2. When the battery is fully charged, remove it from the charger, and disconnect the charger from the
charger sockets.
Place the sprayer upright, MAKING SURE to set the switch to position “OFF”, insert a CHARGED lithium
battery into the battery socket on the rear cover of the sprayer. The sprayer is ready for use.
The lithium battery is inserted / removed from the socket by lightly pressing your fingers on snaps on
the side of the battery.
6. USING THE SPRAYER
1. Unscrew the sprayer cover
2. Once you’ve placed the sprayer on a firm and stable surface, pour liquid with dissolved agent you’re
applying into the sprayer. Pour the liquid through the sieve at the nozzle opening.
3. The liquid prepared for pouring into the sprayer must not contain solid residues of the applied agent
or of another origin, so as not to clog the channels of the sprayer.
4. Do not use adhesives that are sticky or that harden in the sprayer so as not to interfere with the
function of the sprayer.
5. Close the sprayer tank by screwing on the sprayer cap.
6. Place the sprayer on your back using the carrying straps.

7. Use the switch to start the sprayer. Adjust the pressure as desired using the potentiometer.
8. Use the attachment handle to control and direct the device. The length of the attachment can be
adjusted for sprayers with telescopic extensions by loosening the nut and extracting-inserting the
extension tube; the width of the jet can be adjusted by turning the nut on top of the nozzle.
9. If you feel that the battery is exhausted (change of sound and inability to achieve pressure) the
sprayer must be switched off and the battery recharged.
10. When you finish using the sprayer, remove it from your shoulders and empty the tank in a separate
container.
11. Fill the sprayer with 2-3 liters of clean water, close it and shake it. Place on a flat surface, turn it on
and spray for 60 sec. to wash the channels. Afterwards, empty the sprayer into a separate container and
wash it from the outside.
12. Storage, transport and interventions on the sprayer MUST be performed when the sprayer is turned
off.

13. In case of longer periods of not using the sprayer, the battery must be fully charged at least once
every two months.
7. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Do not use the sprayer for purposes other than plant care.
2. Do not transport or store a pre-filled sprayer.
3. Do not repair the sprayer with parts that are not on the original list spare parts or using parts from
other manufacturers
4. Do not make any modifications to the sprayer.
5. Do not pour liquid into the container over the last quantity mark.
6. Use only water-soluble plant care products.
7. Do not use: acids, alkalis, oils, paints, adhesives, liquids, fuels, thinners and the like.
8. Do not use the sprayer if the temperature of the liquid or the environment is lower than 5OC (close to
freezing point) or higher than 35OC (warmer than hands)
9. Never allow the sprayer to run without liquid - "dry running".
10. When adjusting the pressure via potentiometer, (pump in operation) briefly flip the switch to check
that the adequate pressure has been achieved –one that gives the jet the appearance of fog.
11. Do not store the sprayer in areas where the freezing of the liquid in the spray channels or in the
spray tank can occur.
12. In the event that liquid remains in the sprayer and freezes, this sprayer should no longer be used.
13. Never open the sprayer if the pump is switched on, follow the instructions in the chapter USING THE
SPRAYER.
8. SAFETY MEASURES WHEN WORKING WITH THE SPRAYER
Agents used for plant care are usually harmful to health; therefore, it is necessary to adhere to the
following measures when using the sprayer:
1. Be sure to read and follow the manufacturer's recommendations listed on the packaging or in the
instructions for the product that you are using.

2. To avoid the possibility of injury, handle the sprayer carefully; carry it only by holding on to the built-
in handrails and by the carrying strap taking care not to drop it.
3. With the sprayer mounted on your shoulders, do not tilt more than 45 degrees.
4. Make sure to wear protective equipment (protective goggles, gloves, protective suit and protective
footwear).
5. Do not apply agents if it is very cold, very hot or if a strong wind is blowing.
6. Do not consume food and drinks or smoke while using the sprayer.
7. Prior to any action of inspection, adjustment or maintenance of the sprayer, make sure you’ve taken
all measures as listed in the chapter USING THE SPRAYER. If you haven’t, carry them out then proceed to
the planned action.
8. Charge the battery with the utmost care, with dry hands, in dry space and only using the correct,
original (supplied with sprayer) automatic charger.
9. After any contact with the sprayer, wash your face, face and hands and be sure to change your
clothes.
9. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEASURES
1. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions for product concentration, quantity and time of
application, storage and procedure with the remaining product.
2. Prepare only the amount of product you intend to use, place the sprayer upright on a stable surface
and fill carefully. Then close the container tightly.
3. Limit the application of product only to the areas for which it is intended and do not allow product to
disperse to or near watercourses, public areas, places of residence.
4. When applying agents, move away others persons, animals and technical product from the place you
are treating.
5. Dispose of the liquid leftover from use, maintenance, rinsing and washing of the sprayer in
accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
6. Dispose of the remaining packaging of the product in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions.
7. Do not store or transport the sprayer filled with prepared agent and which has not been cleaned in
accordance with the instructions listed in the chapter USING THE SPRAYER.

8. Do not dispose of an expired sprayer and parts remaining after the replacement of worn out parts in
the environment or in municipal waste, but rather hand them over to a professional waste manager.
10. MAINTENANCE
1. If you notice a malfunction while operating the sprayer, stop working with it and rectify the fault. Be
sure to observe all protective measures listed in the SAFETY MEASURES WHEN WORKING WITH THE
SPRAYER and ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION MEASURES sections.
2. After you finish operating the sprayer, always follows the instructions listed in the section USING THE
SPRAYER.
3. Do not store the sprayer with residual agent or in a place where residual agent could freeze inside the
sprayer.
4. Disassemble the sprayer after every 20 uses or in the event of a fault, disassemble the handle and
clean the sprayer filter.
