How to solve the unreliability of sound control is always a difficult problem. Sound
control is very susceptible to noise and its applications are mostly limited to toys or
crafts.
Now you have the Poniie PN340 Sound Activated Switch!
This product uses the newest smart chip in combination with a high quality sound
sensor to catch and analyze the sound signals, which makes it possible to distinguish
the two-clap sound among the different types of sound signals.
PN340 is a perfect tool for Home, Kitchen or Bedroom use, controlling lights or
appliances that simply turn on when the power is applied.
Warning: To avoid electric shock or personal injury, please read the
“Safety Information” carefully before using PN340.

1E A DO NOT use this device on anything that could possibly have an amp rating
greater than 8 amp. Induction loads such as air conditioners, refrigerators, space
heater and freezers may have a great start-up amp. Those appliances should NOT
be used with this product.
A○ 2E A DO NOT use the device with any electrical heating appliances that could
possibly have rating greater than 8 amp. Such as toasters, coffee pots.
A○ 3E A DO NOT use the device in an environment of high temperature, humidity,
explosive or inflammable field.
A○ 4E A DO NOT use the device in wet environments, keep your hands dry.
A○ 5E A NOTE: The device works with all standard power supply 110~220v, do not
plug it into any non-standard power source such as dimming circuit, it may lead to
damage or shorten device’s lifespan.

1E A. OPERATING AN APPLIANCE WITH 2 CLAPS
1) Plug this unit into a powered outlet
2) Attach an appliance to the sound activated switch
3) Manually turn the appliance in “ON” position
4) Now PN340 is already prepared for a 2-CLAP sound.
NOTE:No indicator will light up, when there is no output power of PN340. If you
pressed “SET” button to “off” status before, you need to manually switch it to
SOUND indicator to enable the sound activated function.
5) Turn the appliance on and off by clapping at:
CLAP (pause) CLAP sequence.
NOTE:No need to clap very loud when you are operating this unit nearby. Clap
louder when you get farther from this device.

NOTE: Please operate this unit at least 3.3 Ft. away and it need a proper pause
between each clap to control it.

2E A. CHOOSE SOUND SENSITIVITY
Press “OPT” button to choose a sound sensitivity strategy.
1) LOW indicator lights up means the sound sensitivity will be relatively low
(louder clap required) and more noise pattern signals will be rejected.
2) HIGH indicator lights up means the sound sensitivity will be relatively high and
more 2-CLAP pattern signals will be accepted.
3) LOW & HIGH indicators light up at the same time means the most sensitive
working mode is activated.
NOTE:
A. The HIGH sensitivity options are suitable for using in aquiet place or for the
aged that can’t clap loud enough to operate it. Similar noise sound may also activate
the switch by accident at HIGH mode.

B. The LOW option is suitable for most subject matter. Near around or background
noise sound is blocked to the utmost extent at this option.
A○ 3E A. Disable Sound Activated Function
1. Press “SET” and the MAN red indicator lights up, the sound detector is closed
and power will be always on.
2. Press “SET” and the MAN red indicator goes off, the sound detector is closed
and there will be no output power.
3. Press “SET” and the SOUND green indicator lights up, the sound activated
function is enabled again.
If this unit does not turn on when clapping:
A. Make sure the PN340 is plugged in properly. When the PN340 is first plugged
in, the 4 indicator lights on the front will sequence through a start-up pattern.
B. Make sure the Appliance is turned in “ON” position.

C. Make sure the claps have the correct timing and volume.
How close do I need to be to the PN340 for it to hear?
This depends greatly on the surrounding condition, the senstivity option and the
objects between you and the PN340. The operation distance can differ from 10 to
30 Ft. and above.
Which appliances does the PN340 work with?
1. Christmas Tree lights 2. Fluorescent lights 3. LED Light Bulbs
4. Normal (Incandescent) lights 5. A three-way light bulb 6. An electric fan
7. Other devices that consume power under 8 amps.
