THIS WARNING IS GIVEN IN COMPLIANCE
WITH CALIFORNIA'S PROPOSITION 65:
WARNING
This product contains chemicals known to the

1. Unpack all parts and check against parts list to ensure that all have been included.
2. Assemble four 5/16" threaded inserts (21) into lower end of ladder weldment (1) and front frame weldment (2).
Secure rubber feet (20) to threaded inserts with 5/16" x 1" lg. machine bolt (11) and 1/4" flatwasher (12). See Detail "A".
3. Attach 3" casters (19) to ladder weldment (1) with 1/4" x 1-3/4" lg. machine screws (13) and 1/4" locknuts (17) as shown in Detail "A".
Assemble ladder weldment (1) to front frame weldment (2) with 1/2" x 2-1/4" lg. machine bolts (7) and 1/2" locking cap nuts (8) as
shown in Detail "A".
NOTE - Insert machine bolts with the head of the bolt on the outside of the front frame, and the locking cap nuts on the inside of the
frame. Hardware should be tight enough to eliminate movement and rattle, but loose enough to allow the judge's stand to fold and
unfold freely.

Assemble left-hand and right-hand platform support angles (4 and 5) to wood platform (6) with six 1/4" x 1-1/2" lg. carriage bolts (14),
1/4" lockwashers (15) and 1/4" hex nuts (16) thru pre-drilled holes in wood platform.
NOTE - Vertical legs of platform support angles must be flush with edges of wood platform.

Slide 2' 3-1/8" lg. drilled tube (3) thru holes in left-hand and right-hand platform support angles (4 and 5) from Step No. 5.
Tube should be approximately centered left-to-right.
Loosely assemble platform/tube sub-assembly from Step No. 6 to
front frame weldment (2) using four tee castings (18), 3/8" x 2" lg.
carriage bolts (9) and 3/8" locking cap nuts (10).
NOTE - Tube and tee castings should be centered approximately 4'-0"
above the finished floor. Wood platform should be located between
ladder weldment (1) and front frame weldment (2), with top of platform
facing the ladder weldment. Hand tighten hardware at this time.

Carefully open ladder assembly wide enough so platform can
be swung up and hooked onto top rung of ladder weldment
(2). After platform is hooked onto top rung of ladder
weldment, place a level on top of the platform, and adjust the
tube and tee castings up or down until the platform is level.
After the platform has been leveled, securely tighten the 3/8" x
2" lg. carriage bolts (9) and 3/8" locking cap nuts (10).
Assembly is now complete.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
THE OPERATION OF THIS JUDGE'S STAND MUST BE DONE BY ADULTS ONLY, WHO ARE PHYSICALLY CAPABLE OF
PERFORMING THESE OPERATIONS.
FOLDING UNIT FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE. Carefully raise platform, just enough to be able to spread ladder weld
(1) away from front frame weldment (2). Spread ladder and front frame weldments apart just enough to be able to swing
platform down, so it rests against front frame weldment. Swing front frame weldment toward ladder weldment, taking care to
prevent the judge's stand from falling forward. The entire judge's stand will now be resting on only the two feet on the ladder.
It is now ready for transport.
A.
AT ALL TIMES DURING THE FOLDING, TRANSPORTING AND UNFOLDING OPERATIONS, KEEP HANDS, FINGERS,
FEET, ETC. AWAY FROM ALL PINCH OR CRUSH POINTS.
TRANSPORTING UNIT. With unit resting on the two feet on the ladder, carefully tip unit backward until the two casters come
into contact with the floor. With unit now resting on the casters, it can be easily rolled to its new location.
B.
AT NO TIME SHOULD THIS JUDGE'S STAND BE TRANSPORTED WHILE IT IS IN THE PLAYING POSITION. THE
PLATFORM MAY DISENGAGE FROM THE LADDER UNEXPECTEDLY, CAUSING THE JUDGE'S STAND TO COLLAPSE
SUDDENLY.
SETTING UP UNIT FOR USE. Transport unit to its new location per Step No. B above. Repeat Step No. A in reverse order.
Tip unit upward until it is resting on the two feet on the ladder. The two casters will no longer be contacting the floor. Taking
care to prevent the unit from tipping forward, swing the front frame forward until it is approximately vertical. Swing the platform
up and hook it onto the top rung of the ladder (spread the ladder and front frame apart slightly if necessary). Slide the unit to
its final position. Check to ensure that the platform is completely hooked on the top rung of the ladder. The judge's stand is
now ready for use.
