Function:

to the desired
test voltagerange.

Connect
testlead
to thetestcircuit
in parallel.
One maytakethe
measurement
under
manual
power
modeorpower
lockmode:
ts ManualMode: Pressand hold the test key to activate
the test
voltagesource.
A periodic
beeping
will
give
warning
of the high
voltageoutput.Releasethe test button
to stop the test voltage
output. A series of beeps with shorter periods indicate the
discharging
is in progress.
Whenthebeeper
stops,
the discharge

is completed. The test result will be held on the display
automatically.
D Lock Mode: Pressthe LOCK buttonto enter the Power Lock
operation mode. Press the test button once to activate the test
source.
A periodic
beepingwill give warningof the high voltage
output.
Pressthetestbuttonagainto stopthetestvoltageoutput.
Aseriesofbeepswith
shorter
periods
indicatethedischarging
isin
progress.
Whenthebeeperstops,
thedischarge
iscompleted.
The
testresultwill be heldon the displayautomatically.
lf test period
extendslonger than 3-minutesthe test source will shut down
automatically.
A Caution:
Donot
aclivatethetestbeforetheleadis
connec{edtothetestcircuit
properly.
Donotremove
thetestleadfromthetestcircuitbeforethedischarge
process
is
completed.
VI. AUTO POWER OFF
Whenthetester
is idleforthirtyminutes,
withnofunction
selector
or buftonoperation,it willturn itself
off automatically.Toturn the
tester
on again,the userhasto turn
thefunction
selector
to "OFF"
position,
thenbacktotheselectedfunction.
VI'. BATTERY CHANG'NG
WhenElappears on the LCD,the batteriesneedto be replaced
withnew ones.To replacethe batteriesthe user shouldturn the
function
selectorto OFFposition.
Thentheuser
needs
toopenthe
batterycompartment
cover with a screwdriver.Eight AA 1.5V
batteries
areneededto replacetheoldones.After
allbatteriesare
changed,
put
thecoverback
and
fasten
thescrew.
V"I. FUSE CHANGING:
The meterprotection
fuse will be blown if the ohms range has
been selected
and the tester is connectedinto a circuitwith a
sourceof >10V.The newreplacement
fusemusthavea rating
of
0.5A

irst,the usershouldturn thetest off and
remove
thetestleads
thenremove
theback
coverandreplacethe
Fuse.
