Turn the Lid Handle clockwise and lift the Lid off
the Main Body.
Remove the Inner Pot from the Main Body and
fill with solid ingredients, followed by liquids.
NEVER place food or liquid directly into the
Main Body. ALWAYS ensure the Inner Pot is in place before cooking, and that the Inner Pot is
neither empty nor overfilled above the MAX line in the Inner Pot.
In addition, food with skins (e.g. sausages, ox tongue, bacon joints, chicken and fruit) MUST
be pierced before cooking. Not piercing the skin may result in the food expanding and may
cause splashing of hot food after the Lid is released. Due to the effects of pressure, do not
pierce the skin after cooking if it appears swollen: you could get burnt.
When cooking food with a thick texture (apple-sauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or
other cereals, split peas, chick peas, rhubarb, noodles, macaroni, and spaghetti, compotes, etc.)
or high starch content (e.g. porridge, congee, sticky liquids, soup, etc.), do not fill the Inner

15.
Caution: One’s hands and face should be angled away
from the steam coming out of the Pressure Release
Valve or Float Valve!
(b)Slow release (takes at least 15 minutes)
Recommended for :
Food with skins (e.g. sausages, chicken and fruit) and foods with large liquid volume or high
starch content (e.g. porridge, soup, pasta, rice, fruit, grains, potato) and also delicate foods
such as meats can trap air and cause the food to foam and expand which may cause
splashing of hot food after the Lid is removed.
Foods with a thick texture (apple-sauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or other cereals,
split peas, chick peas, rhubarb, noodles, macaroni, spaghetti, compotes, etc.) or high starch
content (e.g. porridge, congee, sticky liquids, soup, etc.) can clog the Pressure Release Valve.
Steps: Keep the Pressure Release Valve in the CLOSED position. Wait until the Float Valve
drops down. This may take 15 – 20 minutes.
When the Float Valve has dropped, wearing oven gloves,
use tongs to turn the Pressure Release Valve from the
CLOSED position to the OPEN position.
Holding the Handles, give the appliance a few gentle shakes
to release any residual steam.
Switch off the wall switch and unplug the power cable from the wall socket.
Turn the Lid Handle clockwise and lift the Lid off the Main Body.
DO NOT use force to open the Lid.
(Note: the Lid should be opened only when the pressure has decreased sufficiently as high
pressure could cause personal injury and damage to surroundings. If the unit is difficult to
open, this indicates that the appliance is still pressurised.)
Food can be scooped out of the Inner Pot.

In the case where the installed thermostat malfunctions, the power supply will stop automatically
to prevent the pressure cooker from overheating. Numerous other safety devices are installed in
your pressure cooker, such as:
Anti-block safety device which prevents food from blocking the air outlet;
Pressure-control safety device automatically cuts the electric supply when the pressure reaches
pre-set parameters;
Temperature-control safety device automatically cuts the electric supply when the temperature
is abnormal and the inner pot becomes empty of fluids;
Over-heat safety device automatically cuts the electric supply when the thermostat reads an
unusually high temperature;
Limited-pressure safety device automatically discharges the excess pressure if the thermostat or
pressure-control device is not working; and
Pressure-relief safety device which prevents explosions when all other safety devices do not work.
In these cases, the pressure cooker has to be repaired by the service centre.
