ATTENTION :
Read this booklet carefully it contains important instructions for a safe installation,
use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical
devices:
1. Read all instructions before using the device.
The Device
2. This device must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any
use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered
inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible
damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.
3. The installation/assembly of the device will be made in accordance with the
indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to
persons, animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered
responsible.
4. Before use, check the integrity of the device and its components. Check that the
Filter Life Indicator, Lid, Filter Cartridge, Reservoir and Pitcher are not cracked,
chipped, warped, melted, discoloured or otherwise damaged in one way or
another. Contact the authorised service centre if you are unsure.
5. Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any
non-original component or accessory NOT recommended by the manufacturer
(including, but not limited to, the Filter Life Indicator, Lid, Filter Cartridge,
Reservoir, Pitcher, etc. made by other manufacturers or by the same
manufacturer but for other models of the same capacity or otherwise) may cause
injuries to persons or damage to the device.
6. The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept
out of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential
sources of danger.
Location
7. This device is NOT suitable to be used or stored near heat sources (open flame,
ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) and/or in an explosive environment (in the presence
of flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric
conditions when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items
containing these substances should never be placed in the device, and never be
used to clean the device in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.
8. Place the device at a proper distance from the objects or surrounding walls

making sure that its functioning will NOT cause accidental damages. Never put
things on top of the Lid.
9. DO NOT use or store the device outdoors. Store and use the device only
indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation
of the sun and dust.
Operation
10. If you are using the device for the first time, you should:
a. Separate the Lid, Reservoir and Pitcher, wash them with water & detergent
using a non-abrasive sponge and rinse them under running water. DO NOT
use metal scouring pads. Reassemble the device by first inserting the
Reservoir into the Pitcher.
b. Soak an unused Filter Cartridge upright in a clean bowl containing clean, cold
or room-temperature water for 10 minutes. Rinse the Filter Cartridge under
running water for 10 seconds and insert the Filter Cartridge into the Reservoir.
Attach the Lid onto the Reservoir. Pour cold water or room-temperature tap
water into the Reservoir through the hole in the Lid by lifting up the tab next
to the Filter Life Indicator. Discard the water and repeat. The third pitcher of
water is safe for drinking.
c. Place and use the device on a horizontal, stable and non-slip surface.
Damage may occur if the device is placed on an incline or decline.
d. Set the Month & Date one month in advance of the Filter Cartridge being
replaced, according to MM:DD format.
e. Make sure to remove any label or protective sheet which may prevent its
proper functioning.
DO NOT:
overfill the Pitcher with water;
use without the Filter Cartridge being locked in place;
use the device to filter water of unknown quality or that has been
microbiologically impaired. This device must be used to filter tap water only;
allow warm, hot or boiling water to come into contact with any part of the
device, whether for filtering, cleaning or rinsing – use only cold or room
temperature water only;
place the device (or any part of the device) in the oven, microwave oven or
freezer for heating or cooling, so as to avoid breaking or damaging it;
use warm, hot or boiling water for cleaning;
place any part of this device in a dishwasher for cleaning;
apply concentrated cleaning agents such as heavy oxidants, bleach,
chlorinated solvents, or the like to any part of this device.
11. If official instructions have been issued to boil tap water before consuming it, or if
the intended users are persons with weak immune systems, such as babies or

the elderly, the (cold or room temperature) water placed into this device for
consumption by these persons must also be boiled, prior to or after filtration.
12. This device is NOT intended for commercial use but to be used in households
and similar applications, such as:
Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
Dormitories; hotels, motels and other residential environments;
Bed and breakfast type environments.
13. This device can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall
NOT play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made
by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the device and its
cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.
14. Save these instructions.

How to use s
1. Wash & rinse your hands with soap and water.
2. Fill a clean container with room temperature water with sufficient water to cover
the whole of the Filter Cartridge.
3. Tear open the sealed white plastic pouch containing the Filter Cartridge. Place
the new Filter Cartridge upright in the container for 10 minutes.
Assembling the Device
4. Remove the Lid by holding the device with one hand and squeezing the middle
of the Lid (where the distance is shortest) with the third finger and thumb, and
pull out the Lid upwards and out of the Pitcher.
5. Lift the Reservoir upwards and out of the Pitcher.
6. Wash the Lid, Reservoir and Pitcher with water & dish-washing liquid using a
non-abrasive sponge. The scrubber side of a sponge will slightly scratch the
surface of the device, so use the softer side. DO NOT use metal scouring pads.
DO NOT use warm, hot or boiling water for cleaning.
DO NOT place any part of this device in a dishwasher for cleaning.
DO NOT apply concentrated cleaning agents such as heavy oxidants, bleach,
chlorinated solvents, or the like to any part of this device
7. Rinse the Lid, Reservoir and Pitcher under running water.
8. Place the Pitcher on a horizontal, stable and non-slip surface.

9. Insert the Reservoir into the Pitcher. The rim of the Reservoir should exactly
align with that of the Pitcher.
Installing a new Filter Cartridge into the Pitcher
10. Rinse the new Filter Cartridge under running water for 10 seconds.
11. Insert the Filter Cartridge into the Filter Cartridge compartment of the Reservoir
and press it down firmly to ensure a tight seal.
12. Attach the Lid onto the Reservoir and press down to ensure a tight fit.
13. Press down on the tab next to the Filter Life Indicator to open the hole in the Lid.
Fill the Reservoir with cold water or room-temperature water and allow ALL the
water to pass through the Filter Cartridge.
DO NOT overfill the Pitcher with water.
DO NOT use the device to filter warm, hot or boiling water. This device must be
used to filter cold or room temperature tap water only.
Discard the water (use the water to wash the floor or to water plants) and repeat.
The subsequent pitchers of water are safe for drinking.

Keep the Filter Cartridge moist by maintaining the bottom of the cartridge in
the water. If the cartridge has not been in contact with water for two days, fill a
clean container with filtered water poured out from the device with sufficient
water to cover the whole of the cartridge. Soak for 10 minutes, rinse the
cartridge under running water for 10seconds, and reinstall it.
Store the Pitcher in the refrigerator or in a cool location. If the water has been
sitting for several days, discard it and refill the Pitcher with fresh water.
14. Use the dials to select a date one month in the future. If the day you wish to
select is not available, select the next available day, according to MM:DD format.
(e.g. if the date the Filter Cartridge was replaced was 24 April, then set the
numerals to 24 May, which is 05:24).

Replacing the Filter Cartridge (after 30 days or 160 litres)
15. Wash & rinse your hands with soap and water.
16. Fill a clean container with filtered water poured out from the device with sufficient
water to cover the whole of the Filter Cartridge.
17. Tear open the sealed white plastic pouch containing the Filter Cartridge. Place
the new Filter Cartridge upright in the container for 10 minutes.
18. Remove the Lid by holding the device with one hand and squeezing the middle
of the Lid (where the distance is shortest) with the third finger and thumb, and
pull out the Lid upwards and out of the Pitcher.
19. Lift the Reservoir upwards and out of the Pitcher
20. Pull the used Filter Cartridge out of the Pitcher by the Filter Cartridge Loop.
21. Repeat steps 6 – 14 to install a new Filter Cartridge.

ENVIRONMENTAL TIP s
This device, along with all other electronic & non-electronic devices, should, when it
is no longer capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible
environmental damage according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases
you can discard the device at your local recycling center.
DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this device as unsorted municipal waste. Collection of
such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.

WARRANTY s
Warranty Conditions
1. This warranty provides against defective materials and manufacturing faults
throughout for one year from the date of purchase of the device.
2. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, replacement of consumable
materials and accessories, and the cost of maintenance of the device.
3. This warranty does not cover the repair or replacement of part/s damaged by
misuse, accidents, negligence, alterations, or modifications in any way, or repairs
done by any repair organisation without the prior consent of PowerPac Electrical
Pte Ltd.
4. Repair and service are to be performed at: 5 Changi South Lane #03-01
Singapore 486045. A transport fee will be charged for personal doorstep
service.
5. The original purchaser of the device must furnish proof of purchase to our
Service Centre with the email or number as registered during submission of
warranty when this device is sent for repair/service. Failure to do so may delay
the receipt of said repair/service by the customer.
6. Under no circumstances whatsoever shall the serial number (if any) be erased,
defaced or altered by the customer and/or his representatives, or the dealer
and/or his agents. Failure to ensure this shall invalidate the warranty.
7. This warranty is deemed to be void if the defect is cause by the attack of
household pests, fire, lightning, natural disasters, pollution, abnormal voltage or
the usage of generators.
8. This warranty is valid in Singapore only.
9. This warranty will be honoured subject to the customer’s registration of the
warranty inclusive of original invoice or valid purchase receipt. Failure to present
these documents will result in denial of service. However, if the customer still
requests that the defective device be repaired, PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd may,
at its discretion, repair the device but impose a labour charge, as well as the
costs of the replacement parts, to be borne solely by the customer.
10. Please refer to the attached picture for the location of
one of our device’s serial number (if any), as an
example.

Please complete the on-line registration warranty form available on our website.
There is no further requirement to send us any hard copy as part of our efforts to
save the environment.
In accordance with the terms and conditions of this limited warranty as stated above,
PowerPac Electrical Pte Ltd, at its expense shall provide free services for the device
within the warranty period from its date of purchase from our Authorised dealers.
