1. L ght ng the Module
NOTE:On initial lighting of the module, it may take
some time to purge the internal pipework of air.
If it is not possible to light the module after
several attempts onta t the lo al servi e
ompany.
1. To Start the Module
1.1 Follow the start up instru tions for the du t heater
or air handling unit.
1.2 When all external and internal ontrols are alling
for heat the burner start-up sequen e will
ommen e. The exhaust fan will run and after a
pre-purge period of approximately 30 se onds
an ignition spark will be generated at the burner.
The main gas valves will open and the burners
will be established
NOTE: If the burners fail to establish they will go
to lockout and the lockout indicator / reset button
on the pcb will be illuminated. To restart the
burner push the lockout reset button.
If the burners will not light after four or five
attempts then shut down the unit and all in a
servi e engineer.
NOTE: If there is loss of flame signal at the burners
during normal running the control box will
immediately initiate spark ignition. If the burners
fail to relight they will go to lockout.
2. To Shut Down the Module
2.1 For Short Per ods:
Follow the instru tions provided with the du t
heater or air handling unit so that external and/or
internal ontrols are not alling for heat.
2.2 For Long Per ods:
Complete 2.1 above, wait approximately 4-5
minutes for the exhaust fan of the module to stop
running and then turn OFF the gas and ele tri
supplies to the module.
3. Descr pt on of Operat on
Important: All heaters must be ontrolled by the
fitted external ontrols and not by use of the main
swit h in the ele tri al supply to the heater.
The burner start up sequen e will ommen e
ea h time that the external ontrols all for heat. The
exhaust fan will run and after a pre purge period off
approximately 30 se onds an ignition spark will be
generated at the burners. The main gas valves will
be opened and the burners established. When the
external ontrols are satisfied the burners will be
turned off and approximately 4 - 5 minutes later the
exhaust fan will be automati ally stopped.
4. L m t Thermostat
The limit thermostat is mounted towards the top of
the onrtrol panel.
i) Limit Thermostat Reset
In the event of a fault that auses the temperature of
the air within the module to rise signifi antly e.g.
Blo ked air inlets, the limit thermostat will operate
to shut down the burners. Remove the ause of the
fault, wait 10 minutes and then reset the thermostat
by pushing the white reset button. If the limit
thermostat ontinues to operate all a servi e engineer.
5. Ma ntenance
Regular servi ing is essential to maintain effi ient,
reliable and safe operation of the module. Users are
strongly re ommended to have the module servi ed
at least annually and preferably at the end of the
heating season.
6. IMPORTANT
Free a ess must be maintained to and around the
module for servi ing purposes and the air supply to
the heater must not be restri ted in any way.
Combustible materials must not be stored adja ent
to the module or the unit it is fitted into.
If at any time a gas leak is suspe ted turn OFF the
gas supply - DO NOT USE A NAKED FLAME -
and onta t the lo al gas undertaking immediately.
Gas Safety (Installat on & Use) Regulat ons
(Current Issue)
It is law that all gas applian es are installed, adjusted
( onverted if ne essary) and servi ed by qualified
persons* in a ordan e with the urrent issue of the
above regulations. Failure to install applian es
orre tly an lead to prose ution. It is in your own
interests and that of safety to ensure that the law is
omplied with.
