P10/P20/P30 Console Top Cap Replacement Part Options
Applies to
P10, P20, and P30 consoles with blank or entertainment top caps
Issue/Symptoms
Console top caps (blank and entertainment models) are breaking due to improper use as a hand hold. Patrons are
holding onto the top cap while exercising causing the top cap tab fasteners to break.
Resolution
Provide cost effective top cap part replacement solutions.
Tools required
#2 Phillips screw driver

Blank and Entertainment top cap replacement parts can be purchased as complete assemblies or as individual parts.
Please refer to the following table for part purchase options:
Procedure
Review entire procedure before starting.
Note: Refer to the Installing and Configuring Entertainment Caps manual (pn 301425-101) for more detailed
installation and setup information.
1Switch equipment power OFF.
2Remove the two screws that secure the console back cover. Retain fasteners for installation.
3Remove the two screws that secure the top cap rear cover and remove. Retain fasteners for installation.

4Remove the two screws that secure the top cap front cover (blank or Entertainment) and remove. These screws are
accessible from the inside of the back of the front cover. Retain fasteners for installation.
aFor Entertainment top caps, disconnect the power and input cables.
bIf you purchased the Entertainment front cover with no PCA board (PPP000000304176101), remove the PCA
board and install it in the replacement cover.
Caution:Electronic components can easily be damaged by electrostatic static discharge (ESD). Always use
properly grounded anti-static wrist-strap when handling or servicing printed circuit boards.
5Reinstall the replacement top cap front cover.
aFor Entertainment top caps, reconnect the power and input cables.
6Replace the top cap rear cover.
7Replace the console back cover.
8Switch the equipment power ON.
9If the Entertainment top cap was replaced, verify the volume, mute, and channel functionality.
10 Verify the equipment operation and return to service.
