Operating Controls and Indicators
1. Power - LED - indicates power to the
unit and blinks the message number being
played .
2. AC Adaptor Jack - Insert round plug of
12V DC adaptor into power unit.
3. Play Mode Selection - The SM1000 can play
one message continuously or play all
messages in sequence from the inserted
Smart Media card. To change the message
number to be played, press and hold the
“Play Mode” button for the number of blinks
equal to the desired message number. The
SM1000’s power LED will continuously blink
the message number being played after the
button is released. To play in sequence all
stored messages from the Smart Media card,
press and hold the “Play Mode” button for 7
blinks. The message play number is stored in
the Smart Media card, so loss of power will
not change the message being played.
4. Phone Outputs - Insert the cable provided
into the output jack your phone system
requires, either 600 Ohm or 8 Ohm.
5. Output Tone - Controls the tone on the 600
Ohm and 8 Ohm outputs.
6. Output Volume - Controls the output
volume of the unit.
Installation
1. Plug the small-connector end of the AC adaptor into the 12 V DC input jack at the side of the unit. Plug the
larger power supply end of the adaptor into a grounded AC power outlet. The AC power outlet must be one that
remains ON at all times.
2. Connect a cable (provided) from the music on hold part of the telephone system to the 600 Ohm or 8 Ohm
output jack of the unit.
3. Insert Smart Media card with gold side down.
4. Adjust volume and tone controls to the phone system as needed.
5. Select message to be played using the “Play Mode” button.

Warranty
Upon receipt, Premier Technologies, Inc. will repair or replace, as its option, for a period of three years from the date of purchase, any SM1000 that
proves defective in materials or workmanship. This does not include the smart media cards. Premier Technologies, Inc. is not liable for indirect,
incidental, or consequential damages in connection with the use of this product. This limited warranty does not include labor for installation or
removal of a defective unit.
