1.0 Description
TheFocus‐Irisunitisasinglechannelwirelesscontrol.Itcanbeusedtocontroleither
thefocusoririschannelofanMDR2,wirelessV+FLensControl,orRadioDimmer.The
switchlocatednearthetopofthecontrolselectsbetweenthefocusandirisfunction.
AnFM50typeLi‐IonBattery(11)powersboththeRadiomodule.Toremovethebattery,
slidetheBatteryRelease(12)towardstherearofthemodulewhilepushingthebattery
downwards.
Theomni‐directionalantennaelement(1)ishousedwithinaruggedcoverthatprotects
itagainstimpact.Thetri‐colorLED(4)indicatesthestrengthofthereceivedsignals:
Blue–Maximum
Green–Strong
Red–Minimum
(off)–SignalStrengthtoolow.
MoveclosertoMDR3forreliableoperation.
Thereare30wirelesschannelsavailablenumberedfrom0–29.Thesecorrespondto
thechannelsontheMDR3,MDR2,orV+FLensContro.Thechannelisraisedorlowered
bypressingthepairofbuttons(7)totherightofthechannelindicator(6).

FocusorIris,sothatitcanbecontrolledbytheFocus‐Irisunit.
3. PressthePOWERbutton(5)momentarily.ThepowerLEDjustabovetheswitch
willlight.
4. Usethepush‐buttonswitches(7)tomatchthechannelasshowninthedisplay
(6)tothechannelofthereceivingunit.
5. Selectthedesiredmode–focusoriris:
IfanMDR3orMDR2isbeingcontrolled,theModeswitch
determineswhichmotor(focusoriris)willrespondtothecontrol
knob.
IfaVideoLenscontrolisbeingused,theModesettingofboth
unitsmustmatch(focusoriris).
6. WhentheFocus‐IrisunitestablishescommunicationwiththeMotorDriver,the
LINKLED(4)willglow.Thecolorwillindicatethesignalstrengthasdescribedin
theprevioussection.
7. TheControlKnob(15)willnowcontroleitherthemotororLEDlight.
8. TheCameraRunLEDlocatedabovetheR/SSwitch(3)indicatesthecamera
status.
9. TosetLensLimits:
a. UsetheControlKnobtomovethelenstooneendofthedesiredrange.
b. WhilepressingtheSETBUTTON(9),turntheControlKnobuntilthelens
reachestheotherendofthedesiredrange.
c. ReleasetheSETBUTTON.
d. Theendlimitsoflensrotationareindicatedbythesolidglowingbars.
Themovingbarshowsthecurrentlensposition.
e. ThelimitscanberemovedbypressingtheRESETbuttonmomentarily.

5. FCCStatement
ThisequipmenthasbeentestedandfoundtocomplywiththelimitsforaclassBdigitaldevice,
pursuanttopart15oftheFCCRules.Theselimitsaredesignedtoprovidereasonable
protectionagainstharmfulinterferenceinaresidentialinstallation.Thisequipmentgenerates,
usesandcanradiateradiofrequencyenergyandifnotinstalledandusedinaccordancewiththe
instructions,maycauseharmfulinterferencetoradiocommunications.However,thereisno
guaranteethatinterferencewillnotoccurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoes
causeharmfulinterferencetoradioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturning
theequipmentoffandon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneor
moreofthefollowingmeasures:
*Reorientorrelocatethereceivingantenna.
*Increasetheseparationbetweentheequipmentandreceiver.
*Connecttheequipmentintoanoutletonacircuitdifferentfromthattowhichthereceiveris
connected.
*Consultthedealeroranexperiencedradio/TVtechnicianforhelp.
ThisequipmenthasbeenverifiedtocomplywiththelimitsforaclassBcomputingdevice,
pursuanttoFCCRules.Operationwithnon‐approvedequipmentislikelytoresultininterference
toradioandTVreception.
Theuseriscautionedthatchangesandmodificationsmadetotheequipmentwithoutthe
approvalofmanufacturercouldvoidtheuser'sauthoritytooperatethisequipment.
ThisdevicecomplieswithPart15oftheFCCRules.
Operationissubjecttothefollowingtwoconditions:
