PRIMOVA GX-2 QUICK GUIDE
POWER OFF EVERYTHING WHILE CONNECTING THE UNIT!
Power adapter ( OT I CLUDED). Connect to a noise-free 9VDC 2.1mm center negative power
adapter >=500mA (>=0.5A). We recommend UX ACD 006A and BOSS PSA adapter.
GK (13-pin) OUTPUTS.
Connect to BOSS/Roland Guitar synths.
A regular guitar 1/4" input.
TWO GK/Divided pickup (13-pin) I PUTS. Only connect to 13-pin compatible instruments.

Two CTRL jacks for optional expression pedals or dual foot switches. Assign function in settings
menu. ROLA D EV-5 Expression Pedal or FS-5U/FS-6/FS-7 Dual Footswitch recommended.
MIDI OUT connectors.
Optionally connect to BOSS/Roland Synth MIDI I or input to other MIDI devices.
MIDI I connector.
Optionally connect to MIDI OUT of MIDI controller or MIDI CLOCK controller.
Connect to a PC using a
Mini USB 2.0 cable. Only connect to PC while programming the
device using a dedicated software. A PC USB connection may induce ground loops/noise.

FOOT SWITCHES
Toggles the
OPERATING MODE
of the unit.
GK MODE: Operate as a U IT SELECTOR
PATCH MODE: Operate PATCHES (volume effects).
There are 99 patches (volume effect slots).
GK MODE:

INPUT SELECT
The input selector will cycle through the inputs on each hold. The
SYSTEM settings allow you to customize the cycling.
TAP
TEMPO
If you press TAP TEMPO only once, all effects using BPM will START a new
phrase or sequence. If you’re using the GX-2 as a MIDI CLOCK source to
other MIDI units, a MIDI START Command will be broadcasted. To set a
new BPM you will have to TAP at least three times before the BPM will
change. If you TAP more than three times the aggregated average of all
TAPS will be used.
TAP TEMPO does not work if the GX-2 is connected to another MIDI
CLOCK source on MIDI I .

START/EXIT SETUP MODE
GK MODE: Modify the SYSTEM settings.
PATCH MODE: Modify actual PATCH settings.
A
MIDI STOP
command will be sent to both MIDI outputs.
If you first hold down A and then press S1 (or S2) buttons, the S1/S2 will
be relayed over to UNIT A only, as long as A is held down.
If you first hold down B
and then press S1 (or S2) buttons, the S1/S2 will
be relayed over to UNIT B only, as long as B is held down.
If you first hold down C and then press S1 (or S2) buttons, the S1/S2 will
change patch of the GX-2 up/down.
To alibrate the GX-2 to your instruments, assign ontrol fun tions or modify
or reate pat hes, you need to learn the SYSTEM and PATCH settings.
