1. Do not overfill the bag, leave enough empty
space for the valve.
2. There are many non-foods that can be vacuum
packed. Keep camping supplies such as
matches, first aid kits and clothing clean and dry.
Keep flares for auto emergencies ready. Keep
silver and collectibles untarnished.
3. Do not leave too much air inside the bag. Press
the bag to allow extra air to escape from the bag
before vacuuming it. Too much air inside the bag
increases the vacuum pump loading and may
result in insufficient motor power to draw away
all the air inside the bag.
4. Do not vacuum objects with sharp points such
as fish bones and hard shells. Sharp points may
penetrate and tear the bag.
5. During the vacuum packaging process, small
amounts of liquids, crumbs or food particles
can be inadvertently pulled into the outer suction
cap, clogging the pump and potentially damaging
your appliance.
To prevent this, follow these tips:
a) For moist and juicy foods such as raw meats:
Freeze first and avoid overfilling bags. You can
also place a folded paper towel inside top of bag,
but below valve, before vacuum packaging.
b) For soups, sauces and liquids: freeze first
and then vacuum, keep the vacuumed bag
refrigerated.
c) For powdery or fine-grained foods: avoid
overfilling bags or use a canister. You can also
place a coffee filter or paper towel inside before
vacuum packaging.
6. Pre-freeze fruits and blanch vegetables before
vacuum packaging for best results.
Note: To avoid possible illness, do not reuse bag
after storing raw meats, fish or greasy foods.
Hints for best vacuuming
performance
Please check the vacuum cap and ensure it is free
from moisture or particles. Pull the outer suction
base outward to dismantle it, wash and clean it.
