DESCRIPTION
Prity pellet fireplaces with hot air convection are designed to meet your
requirements for comfort and uniform heating of your home. They function as a solid
fuel appliance, connected to a dedicated chimney for disposal of flue gases.
It is suitable for one room or two adjacent rooms, if air-exchange between them
is possible.
The room fan integrated in the fireplace’s body has low noise level and 3 selectable
modes of operation.
Connection to the chimney and the initial start-up shall be performed by licensed
specialists and capable for tort liability people in charge upon observation of all local,
national and European standards for provision of safety, functionality, convenience
and aesthetics.
Unlike the ordinary solid fuel appliances, pellet fireplaces can work in a continuous
automatic mode of fuel supply, which is the reason when choosing the model not to
resort to higher capacity appliance to cover potential heat losses.
Sometimes during the start-up a customized setting of the proportion of the fuel
and oxygen demand is necessary and it depends on the pellets’ quality, chimney
draught and the access to air.
Delivery and unpacking
The pellet fireplace is shipped by the manufacturer installed onto a wooden grate,
packed with stretch wrap and cardboard. Upon purchase, please, inspect the product
exterior for any visible damage due to transportation. Verify the integrity of the
panoramic glass, door seals and its proper closing with the door handle.
All pellet appliances “Prity” have been tested and set-up under laboratory
conditions, which is the reason for any potential presence of traces of combustion
process and pellets.

Operating principle
Using the dosing device comprising gear motor and auger pellets from the hopper
are loaded via the chute into the firepot, made of heat-resistant alloy steel, where they
are burned in a quantity specified by a recipe, corresponding to the heating capacity
selected.
Upon start-up, the initially loaded pellets are warmed and kindled automatically
using hot air from the electrical heating coil – igniter, which upon detection of a stable
combustion process is automatically switched off.

The flue gas fan sucks in the required amount of air for a quality combustion process
through the heat exchangers and the firepot openings. The actual amount of air
passing is continuously measured by a flow meter.
The electronic control unit, using a system of sensors and software, compares the
measured amount of incoming air with the pre-set one and makes any corrections
required through the rpm control of the flue gas fan.
The software has been specifically designed and set-up for every particular model
and operation mode, aiming at minimizing the number of kindling operations and
harmful emissions, with the maximum possible input-output ratio for a complete
combustion.
The amount of heat generated by the appliance depends on the pre-set operation
mode, trying to maintain permanent temperature of the heat-transfer agent.
Firepot air purging is done over certain periods as well as upon shutting down the
appliance.
The amount of ash deposited in the ash pan and firebox, depends on the feedstock
the pellets have been produced from, on their moisture content and the primary air
moisture content, and for the daily carbon deposit scraping off the heat exchangers
there are inspection openings installed.
In order to preserve the health, life and property of the users there are the
respective protections provided, which will stop the operation of the appliance in cases
of incorrect and foreseeably dangerous modes of operation.

GENERAL SAFETY
CAUTION!
Due to the complexity of this appliance, handling it requires certain
minimum of knowledge and skills acquired, corresponding to a
successfully completed secondary school education.
All instructions, provided by the manufacturer must constitute an
important and essential part of that knowledge and skills, be always
available to the user and well-understood and followed in order to
minimise or completely exclude all possible risks and dangerous
consequences.

This appliance may not be used, cleaned and serviced by children less than
12 years old and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capacities, or with insufficient experience and knowledge.
This appliance is not meant for plays or experiments.
Whether working or not used you must make sure that the appliance is in a
safe condition.
During operation, the door of the firebox must always be closed. Do not allow
opening of the firebox door during operation and in presence of fire for more
than 10 seconds.
During operation some surfaces are heated to high temperatures, which if
touched accidentally or erroneously may cause severe heat-related injuries.
Modifications of the appliance are not allowed.
When some part needs replacement, only original parts must be used.
Standards and legislation
This appliance is manufactured in conformity with a type specimen tested in a
notified laboratory in accordance with BDS EN 14785:2006, according to Regulation
(EU) 2015/1185, about which a Declaration of Performance has been issued.
All local, national and European standards must be observed during installation
and operation of the appliance.
Liability
The manufacturer shall bear no responsibility in cases of damage or accident caused
by the following circumstances in the process of operation:
Failure to comply with the instructions.
Failure to comply with the usual rules for safety.
Incorrect operation of the appliance.
Poor maintenance.
Installation not in conformity with standards in the country.
Installation by unqualified or untrained personnel.
Modifications and repairs, not regulated or approved by the manufacturer.
Usage of non-original spare parts.
Extraordinary events. Force-majeure.

INSTALLATION
The proper and fault-free operation of the pellet fireplace requires
proper installation and connection to the flue gas exhaust system.
Initial setting up and commissioning in conformity with the pellets’
quality and the chimney draught, should be performed by a technician
specialized for the respective work or representative of the
manufacturer.
General requirements for the installation of the appliance:
It must be installed in a room with permanent inflow of fresh air for the
combustion process provided.
The appliance must be connected to an operating, warrantied and cleaned
chimney in immediate proximity.
Maintain everyday cleanliness of the surrounding space, incl. restricting the
pets’ access to the appliance because it is possible for the room fan to get
blocked by animal hair and other waste.
Provision of permanent and stabilized power supply from a Schuco power
point with overvoltage protection.
The appliance must not be installed in a bedroom or children’s room.
Access for servicing must be provided.
Fire safety clearances
There is no limitation for clearances from all sides for non-combustible
materials and they must only take into account the periodic maintenance
service, and the minimum clearance of the appliance from combustible
materials is 100 cm in front of it, 40 cm for the sides and 50 cm to the non-
insulated flue stack along its whole length beyond the appliance body.
Where the flooring is combustible, use fire rated insulation mat, which must
extend 40 cm in front of the appliance and 20 cm for all other sides.
The connection of the appliance to the chimney must guarantee tightness,
security of fixing and prevention of any fire hazards.

The elements and facilities used for discharging the flue gases must be in conformity
with the existing standards.
The pipe diameter may not be smaller than the one of the flue gas fan. Before
connection, a revision of the smoke-discharge system must be performed by a
specialist.
Flue stack made of metal pipes, must be insulated with non-combustible thermal
insulation and earth-bonded in accordance with the currently applicable legal
provisions, separately from the earth-bonding of the fireplace.
During installation, tightness of connection and structural stability must be
guaranteed.
Usage of shared chimney shall not be allowed. The chimney must be dedicated to
the fireplace and no other appliances, even ones that are not currently used may ever
be connected to it. In some multi-family residential buildings there may be collective
chimneys that are designed and constructed with special building structure, which is
intended to be used by more than one appliance. If this is the case, it must be verified
that the working condition of this chimney is good and the flue gases from the fireplace
cannot find their way from the chimney into residential or other rooms.
It is recommended to avoid any horizontal flue pipe sections, and where this is not
possible, their length must be less than 3 m and their incline - greater than 5%.
Periodicity of cleaning of carbon deposit and condensation of the flue pipes depends
on the conditions on site, and according to the place of installation and must be agreed
upon at the moment of commissioning with the servicing chimney sweeper.

Sufficient air must be provided, which is necessary to ensure the normal combustion
process and clean surrounding atmosphere. Where the room has tightly fitted doors
and windows, it is necessary to provide for external air inflow in the area behind the
appliance, such as ventilation pipe in the wall with a grate, turned to the outside. Direct
connection of the stove to an external suction pipe is not recommended.
Presence of any system that sucks out air is not recommended in the room where
the appliance is installed, and where one exists, forced delivery air-compensation
device is required.
Connection to the electricity mains
Use the power supply cable from the kit of the fireplace provided. The wall socket
for the power supply of the fireplace must be wired according to the operating
standards –230V, 50Hz, using a three-core cable - live/neutral/protective earth, with a
transitional device for protection against
overvoltages /power surges /.
Connection to the protection neutral earthing
must be 100% tested and verified in advance.
Usage of an additional combined device for
stabilization of voltage to a normal sinusoidal
waveform and its redundancy using deep-cycle
battery is recommended.
Usage of devices with pulsed non-sinusoidal voltage is absolutely forbidden,
because it can cause damage. For more information, ask your electrician or dealer.
Used pellets
The fuel is wooden pellets ∅6mm/30mm calorific capacity 4.8-4.9 kWh/kg, class ЕN
plus А1, according to EN14961:2011. Pellets’ quality is of particular importance.
Regardless of their certificate available, some pellets show various disadvantages upon
combustion: producing more ash, slag in the ash, low efficiency and calorific value.
Usage of other fuels and waste is not allowed!

OPERATION OF THE FIREPLACE
Preparation for initially Ignition
For PLM models – mount the display to the fireplace
body in accordance with the diagram and connect it to
the cable coupler provided.
Room temperature sensor must be outside the fireplace
body to provide correct measurement.
Description of the display
The display is equipped with touch screen and is used for visualisation and setting
up of the parameters. Its options are divided into three access levels – user, service
and installer.
Unlocking the screen
Screen locking initialized by the padlock icon is provided to protect the utility
from children or unauthorized handling.
Unlocking is done with the password: 2468 or by a touch and hold on the screen
until the service icon appears - .
Locking is done by a touch and hold on it for 3 seconds or automatically upon expiry
of 10 minutes from the last action.

Each of the icons becomes active upon touch for user-friendly command execution.
Icon / arrow / returns to the previous screen.
Language switching
Once the screen is unlocked, follow the path below:

Loading pellets
Carefully fill the hopper making sure there are no foreign objects or materials other
from pellets.
Touching and holding on the icon will operate the feeding auger until pellets
start dropping in the firepot.
The auger icon is only visible in STANDBY mode.
Manual loading of pellets through the door and into the firepot is allowed up to the
level of the igniter – aiming at quicker ignition, until the auger manages to feed fuel
into the chute.
CAUTION! Verify whether the grate has been correctly installed.
Ignition, fire-up and shutting down the fireplace

Pressing and holding on this button for more than 3 sec. causes the
fireplace to start or stop.

The operation process develops in several stages.
Upon the "Start” command the fireplace begins with a cycle of intense air purging
of the firebox, in order to guarantee the cleanliness of the firepot and checks the
chimney passability.
Ignition is done with the help of a 250W electrical heater and a forced supply of
air, which flows around it being thus heated to a temperature, which is sufficient to
kindle the initial dose of pellets fed into the firepot. This process continues until the
emergence of a stable flame, which is detected by a sensor, reading the temperature
of the gases in the flue gas fan.
Upon reaching the pre-set temperature the fireplace transitions into fire-up mode,
which is fixed by time. This is necessary because the burning is still not stable and
transitioning to higher volumes of air and pellets, characteristic of Р3 output level may
actually cause flame extinguishing.
In case the pre-set temperature is not reached, the process of ignition is repeated.
Upon second unsuccessful ignition the fireplace returns an error "UNSUCCESSFUL
IGNITION" and remains in waiting mode until elimination of the cause of this error.
Then follow three operating modes of Modulation by output from Р1 to Р3, equally
distributed.
The operation modes of the appliance are fully automatic and their control is in
accordance with the pre-set stage of modulation and the desired room temperature.
In operation mode the appliance constantly strives to reach the pre-set
temperature, whereupon automatically transitions to lower stages of power and vice
versa.
Optimal operation mode with complete combustion and low pellet consumption is
the setting where no frequent ignition and shutting down are required.
Nevertheless, if in minimum output mode the room temperature exceeds the pre-
set hysteresis, the appliance shuts down and remains waiting for a new automatic
ignition, whereupon the display shows function ECO.
Automatic air purging of the firebox with maximum speed of the flue gas fan is done
from time to time and in accordance with the output stage selected.
Forced shut down of the appliance is done via the start/stop icon on the display or
automatically, by command from the weekly programmer. In this mode, pellet feeding
is stopped, air flow is increased in order to achieve complete burning of the fuel in the
firebox.
Then follows a mode of final air purge, wherein the fan provides maximum air flow,
and finally the appliance is shut down.

The values of the parameters in the respective modes are pre-programmed and
tested but they are subject to adaptation, in accordance with the pellets’ quality and
chimney specifics.
Setting-up the temperature
In case the pre-set temperature needs to be modified, select the icon showing
a house or .
Then, a menu appears for selection of day or night temperature, with option for
modification:
The pre-set temperature range is from 10 to 40°С.
Entering the temperature is done using the icons for “greater than” and “less than” ˂
˃. Saving the value is done using the button Save. On pressing the button, a green bar
appears at the lowest part of the screen, which you should wait to fill up whereupon it
disappears and you can be sure that the value has been correctly saved!
When pressing the time displayed underneath the day and night temperature icons,
a page opens where you can change this time, which will be the starting time for day,
or night mode, respectively.
Room fan
When the fan is not operating the icon is static, and it starts rotating in normal
operation or air purge.
Normally, the fan operates in automatic mode – AUTO, in accordance with the
degree of the combustion process, so that it can efficiently cool the heat exchanger
without any excess blowing.
Setting up of fixed first (1) speed during firing-up and permanent third (3) speed for
intensive heat blowing is possible, if required.

Service settings
Upon selection of the icon a new screen opens, which provides access to the
menu for changing the factory settings.
Setting-up the operation mode
There are three parameters you can adjust in the Operation mode:
- Air adjustment
-Pellets adjustment
- Heat output limit
The fireplace has some pre-set factory settings, which should provide its trouble-
free operation. However, depending on the particular conditions – chimney condition,
pellet quality, etc. some of the parameters may need adjustment.
For instance, poor quality pellets may cause deposit accumulation on the grate due
to the poor combustion, which calls for decreasing their quantity or increasing the air
inflow to maintain passability of the grate.
Using the Heat output limit field you can restrict the output capacity of the fireplace.
For example, if instead of 3you select and confirm 2, the fireplace will not operate in
its maximum third intensity grade.

In Current values you can see parameters and values of parameters, which are of
critical importance, such as the information about the fireplace operation.
- Intermediate cleaning shows the time in seconds, which remains until the next air
purge. It is automatically performed, and the flue gas fan reaches its maximum rotation

speed and using the powerful air stream cleans the ash off the grate for a pre-defined
period.
Clock/Timer
Using Clock icon you can set the current actual time and the date.
Using Timer icon you can set delayed start and/or stop of the system!
Setting-up of the weekly programmer - Timer.
On pressing the timer icon you are provided with a choice of three timers
Mo, Tu, We, Th, Fr, Sa, Su are the days of the week.
Press the box above the chosen day to set it up and enable.
Green timers set up the starting time (the increment is 30 minutes), and Red timers
set up the stopping time.
Three possible time ranges allow setting up of three timers per day, offsetting the
stopping timer by 30 minutes in case of overlapping times.
The following 2 clock indicating icons are also available:
The green clock shows that the timer is enabled and the time for automatic
fireplace start-up is pending.

The red clock shows that the fireplace works and its stopping is to be done
at the time pre-set by the timer.
Alarms
Poor flue gas passability due to chimney blockage has been detected by the
pressure switch for 20 seconds. This alarm is accompanied by an audible
signal.
The system stops pellet feeding and switches over to air purge mode. The
alarm stops after 1 minute, but the icon remains until the
problem is
eliminated.
This icon shows that the flue gases reached temperature of 290 degrees,
due to insufficient heat exchange caused by potential defect in the room
fan operation. To resolve this condition, check the fan operation in manual
mode and increase its speed to the maximum 3rd degree
, to perform
intensive heat exchange.
This icon denotes 2 consecutive unsuccessful ignitions as a result from low
temperature of the gases detected, whereupon the fireplace switches over
to cleaning mode. Probable reasons are lack of pellets, blocked auger or
damaged igniter.
This icon shows that the control unit is restarted as a result from
momentary power outage.
Extinguished fire icon due to clogged firepot, as a result from accumulated
slag or poor quality pellets. This condition causes switching over to cleaning
and standby mode.
Damaged flue gas fan icon. It appears when the rpm sensor has detected
no signal from the flue gas fan for 20 seconds.
Important: pressing any of the alarm icons results in redirecting to the Alarm menu,
where the alarms are listed in descending order along with their time and type.
Alarm menu can show up to 10 alarm events which occurred during system
operation.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT! Insufficient cleaning can interfere with the starting up and
the normal, efficient operation of the fireplace,
and cause various
emergency modes.
Therefore, please, observe the cleaning and
maintenance instructions, using safety gloves and personal protection
equipment for these tasks.
6.1. Daily cleaning.
Must be done before each ignition.
Cleaning the grate
Open the firebox door when the appliance is completely shut down. Lift up the grate
and dump the ash into the ash pan. Clean its openings from any carbon deposits.
Replace the grate very carefully and accurately back to its holding box until well seated.
Incorrect placement results in excess combustion air passing around it seriously
deteriorating the combustion process.
Cleaning the fireplace glass
The glass is to be cleaned very carefully. It resists thermal shocks but it is quite
sensitive to mechanical actions – impacts, compression, etc. Wipe it out using a brush
or wash it with detergents and water and wipe it with damp cloth.
Cleaning firebox
Use a brush – the goal is to remove any wooden pellet
combustion residue that is stuck to the inner surface of the firebox.
When disposing the ash make sure it has cooled down and
there are no live embers.
To clean ash from the bottom and walls of the firebox use the
dedicated wood-fired stove vacuum cleaner with a non-
combustible container.
Periodic cleaning
Quite often, the pellets offered at the market and used have reduced quality
parameters. This results in increased deposition of ash and slag in the flue pipes, which
on a day-to-day basis lead to deposit build-up in the firepot and obstruction of the flue
gas route, which in turn, must be inspected and cleaned once every 1 - 2 tons of pellets
burned.
Seasonal cleaning and preventive maintenance.
Apart from the operations, part of the daily and periodic cleaning, after the heating
season, a complete and thorough cleaning, combined with preventive maintenance
and inspection of the fireplace and its equipment would be required.
Cleaning must cover the entire flue gas evacuation route.

-The chimney is to be cleaned along all of its length – from its highest part at the
roof to its lowest one – the special cleaning opening.
-Metal flue pipes must always be disassembled and cleaned.
For PLS model - cleaning the entrance
of the flue gas fan below the firebox
floor. Dismount the small cap from the
right-hand wall – cleaning opening, by
undoing the М5 nuts. This will provide
you with an access to the heated
surfaces next to the entrance of the flue
gas fan. Dismount the deflecting screen
behind the fire, in the firebox. Clean it
using the special ash vacuum cleaner.
Upon assembly, if the seal is damaged it
must be replaced or smeared with heat-
resistant silicon.
For PLM model - Cleaning
the heated
surfaces using a brush
via the service
openings from the bottom of the smoke
tubes and the entrance of the flue gas
fan.
-It is very important that the caps will tightly seal the opening.
-The hopper must be emptied of any pellets and the auger - cleaned with a
vacuum cleaner.
-Cleaning the flue gas chamber above the firebox. If you encounter any
difficulties, you can turn to the servicing technician, committed to the service
maintenance of your fireplace.
-Combustion air supply pipe must be inspected for lack of any obstructions;
-At the end of each heating season the manufacturer recommends to have an

Apart from the activities listed, the service technician must inspect the flue gas fan, the
seals and operation settings of the controller.
All activities related to the daily, periodic and seasonal preventive maintenance are
to the best interests and at the expense of the user.
Important: Since it is possible that living organisms may settle in the suction pipe,
on the louvers of the room fan or in flue gas fan, it is necessary to pay special
attention to these areas before use, after the summer season.
