Neverstartthedrillwhenthebitisincontactwiththeworkpiece.•
Never lay the drill down before its moving parts have come to a complete stop!•
Makesurethedrillbitissecurelymountedinthechuck.Animproperlymountedbitisextremelydangeroussinceit•
canyofforbreakduringdrilling.
Donotwearclothglovesoranecktieasthesecouldbecomecaughtintherotatingparts.•
Hold the appliance securely with both hands.•
Always use the steadying handle supplied with the appliance.•
Always disconnect from the mains supply before changing the drill bit.•
Afteruse,checkyourappliancetokeepitintopcondition.Cleanoutanyaccumulateddust.•

DONOTdiscardthepackingmaterialuntilyouhavecarefullyinspectedtheproductandsatisfactorilyoperatedthe•
tool.
Battery Charging
Refer to page 5 for safety warnings.
The battery in this tool has been shipped in a low charge condition
to prevent possible problems. You should charge the battery fully
priortousingthedrillforthersttime.
Only use the charger supplied to charge the battery.
Plugthechargercordintothesocketonthetool.(Fig1)•
Nowplugthechargerintothemainsoutletsocketandswitchon.•
TheREDLEDwillilluminateindicatingcharging.•
NOTE:• theREDLEDwillextinguishwhenthechargingis
completed.
Initially charge could be up to 7 hours. After which in normal•
usage,yourbatteryshouldbefullychargedwithin3to5hours.
Oncethebatteryischarged,switchoffthesupplyatthemains•
outletsocketandremovethecharger.
NOTE:Whilecharging,thechargermayhumandbecomewarmto
touch. This is a normal condition and does not indicate a problem.
DO NOT use the tool while it is connected the charger.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
WARNING:
Never operate this tool if any parts are missing until the missing parts are replaced. Failure to do so could result in

WARNING: Toolmaystall(ifoverloadedorimproperlyused)causingatwist.Alwaysexpectthestall.Gripthe
screwdriverrmlytocontrolthetwistingactionandpreventlossofcontrolwhichcouldcausepersonalinjury.Ifastall
doesoccur,releasethetriggerimmediatelyanddeterminethereasonforthestallbeforere-starting.
WARNING:
DONOTallowfamiliaritywithtoolstomakeyoucareless.

Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side shields when operate tools. Failure to do so could result in

Installation of accessory bits
Holdthescrewdriverandinstallthehexshankaccessoryintothechuck;
Operation:
Tooperatethetoolinaclockwisedirection,pressthetopsectionof•
therockerswitch.
Tooperatethetoolinaanti-clockwisedirection,pressthebottom•
sectionoftherockerswitch.
Thetoolislockediftherockerswitchisnotdepressedwhichallows•
the tool to be used as a conventional non-powered screwdriver.
NOTE:
TheLEDworklightautomaticallycomesonwhenthescrewdriveris
operated.
Thisprovidesadditionallightingontheworksurfacewhichisusefulin
lower-light situations.
POWER INDICATORS:
•TherearethreeLEDlightsonthebacktopofthescrewdriver,red,
orange and green.
•Whenoperatingtheunitpowerthebatterylevelisindicated
1)GreenLED=60%ormorepowerremaining

DRILLING:
This tool is not recommended for drilling in metal or masonry.
Battery Safety Warnings
Intheunlikelyeventthattheelectrolyteinthebatteryshould•
escape,it’sessentialtoavoidcontactwithyourskin.Ifelectrolyte
doescomeintocontactwithyourskin,rinseoffimmediatelywithwater.Intheeventofelectrolytecomesintocontact
withyoureyes,it’sessentialthatyoucontactyourdoctor.
NEVERthrowbatteriesintowaterorontoareasthiswillcauseariskofexplosion!•

Battery Charging Safety Warnings
NEVER• usechargeroutdoorsorexposetowetordampconditions.Waterenteringchargerwillincreasetheriskof
electricshock.
NEVER• usethecordtocarrythechargerandneverpullthechargebyitscordwhenunplugging.Replacedamaged
cords immediately.
Makesurecordislocatedsothatitwillnotbesteppedon,trippedover,comeincontactwithsharpedgesor•
otherwisesubjectedtodamageorstress.
DO NOT• operatechargerwithadamagedcordorplug,whichcouldcauseshortingandelectricshock.Ifdamaged,
havethechargerreplacedbyanauthorizeddealer.
DO NOT• operatechargerifithasreceivedasharpblow,beendropped,orotherwisedamagedinanyway.
DO NOT• disassemblecharger.Takeittoanauthorizeddealerwhenserviceorrepairisrequired.
Unplugchargerfromoutletbeforeattemptinganymaintenanceorcleaningtoreducetheriskofelectricshock.•
Disconnectchargerfromthepowersupplywhennotinuse.Thiswillreducetheriskofelectricshockordamageto•
thechargerifmetalitemsshouldfallintotheopening,italsowillhelppreventdamagetothechargerduringapower
surge.
DO NOT• chargebatteriesintemperaturebelow5oCorabove50oC.Thisisimportantandwillpreventserious
damage to the batteries.
Battery Life
ENSURE THAT THE BATTERY IS REGULARLY CHARGED AND IS NOT PERMITTED TO COMPLETELY•
DISCHARGE WHICH MAY PREVENT IT FROM BEING RECHARGED!
DuringusetheLEDswillindicatethechargestatusofthebattery.OncetheREDledlights,itstimetore-charge•
the battery. DO NOT CONTINUE TO USE THE TOOL AS COMPLETELY DISCHARGING THE BATTERY COULD
DAMAGE IT.
Avoidleavingonchargeforextendedperiodsoftime.Althoughoverchargingisnotasafetyconcern,itcan•
signicantlyreduceoverallbatterylife.
The battery will reach optimum performance after being recharged 5 times during normal usage. There is no need to•
run the batteries down completely before recharging.
Avoid short periods of charging.•

BATTERY DISPOSAL
Whenthebatterynolongeracceptsanadequatechargethebatteryisdepleted.Thebatteryshoulddisposedofinthe•
correct manor.
Thebatterycontainsnickel-cadmium.Youmustnotdisposeofthebatteryintheordinarytrash.•
Consult your local waste authority for information regarding available recycling and/or disposal options.•
