WIRELESS MICROPHONE OPERATIONS
The FR2 Wireless Microphones system provided with the FREE10LT is a UHF PLL controlled system equipped
with IR sync, which provides a reliable and high quality signal transmission.
The FR2 Wireless Microphone system features 3 units: FR2R receiver, FR2H handheld transmitter and FR2B
body pack transmitter.
The FREE10LT is provided as standards with one handheld wireless microphone (FR2R + FR2H). An additional
wireless handheld microphone (FR2R + FR2H) or bodypack (FR2R + FR2B) can be installed as optional,
allowing the simultaneous use of 2 devices without interference between them.
FR2R is the UHF wireless microphone receiver:
30. ANTENNA (receiver 1)
This is the antenna connector of the first receiver, where you have to connect the antenna supplied with
FREE10LT. In order to obtain a good transmission, raise up the receiving antenna during use and place
the receiver away from other metal objects and no more than 30m from the transmitter.
31. ANTENNA (receiver 2)
This is the antenna connector of the optional second receiver: don’t connect here the antenna if you
have only one wireless receiver.
32. 2nd RECEIVER OPTIONAL SLOT
This is the slot where you have to install the optional second wireless receiver. The arrows show the
screws to be removed. For detailed instructions see further in this manual.

14
33. VOLUME+PWR
Volume potentiometer and ON / OFF switch of the wireless receiver.
34. CHANNEL SELECT BUTTONS
Pressing these buttons you can change the receiving channel.
TIP: with the transmitter OFF, select a free channel in the
receiver. In order to do this, check the RF LED while scrolling the
channels: if the channel is free the RF LED stays OFF (if the
transmitter is also OFF and there are no radio interferences in
proximity).
With both receivers installed the two channels must be
different.
35. 2-DIGIT DISPLAY
This number identifies the selected channel in the range from 1 to
16 (all channels are in the 863-865 MHz UHF range).
36. ASC
Pressing this button the receiver sends the channel setting to the
microphone or bodypack transmitter through the IR port.
37. IR
This is the infrared port for sending the channel setting.
38. RF
RED LED: indicates that the transmitter is sending a radio signal to
the receiver.
39. AF
GREEN LED: shows the presence of an audio signal. Note that the
indication is independent from the VOLUME setting.
40. SQUELCH
This potentiometer sets the minimum level to “open” the wireless
microphone channel. Typically it is set at the factory and doesn’t
require any adjustment.
FR2H is the UHF wireless microphone handheld transmitter.
In order to open the handheld transmitter and to access the
batteries compartment and the IR receiver, rotate the cover as
shown in the figure holding the top of the microphone.
41. MICROPHONE GRILLE
This grid protects the microphone capsule and includes a pop filter.
The microphone uses a dynamic capsule with a cardioid pattern.
42. ON/OFF
ON/OFF switch.
43. BATT LED
This LED shows the battery status:
•When the microphone is switched ON, the LED is GREEN.

15
•When the batteries are near to be exhaust, the LED is RED to
indicate that they must be replaced as soon as possible.
44. IR
After removing the cover, you can access the infrared port for

FREE10LT you have to set the same channel also in the
transmitter using the IR SYNC. Place the transmitter IR port
close to the receiver IR port and press ASC: the RF LED lights
to confirm the channel sync.
45. BATTERIES COMPARTMENT
The microphone is powered by 2 type AA alkaline batteries.
NOTE: the microphone is able to operate also with 2 Ni-MH
rechargeable batteries, but in this case the operating time is less.
46. GAIN
This potentiometer set the
sensibility of the microphone
capsule. Typically it must be set at
minimum for loud singer and at
maximum for quiet talker. You can
adjust it using a small screwdriver.
47. H/L SWITCH
This switch set the level of the RF
transmission. Choosing L as LOW
you preserve the battery life but you
have a closer range (< 10 m).
Choosing H as HIGH you have a
longer range (< 30 m) but the
battery life is less.

16
FR2B is the UHF wireless bodypack transmitter.
In order to open the bodypack transmitter and to
access the batteries compartment and the IR receiver,
push the cover as shown in the figure and pull it
towards you.
48. ANTENNA
This is the transmitting antenna: do not force it, disconnect it
or try to replace it with a different one.
49. IR
After opening the battery cover, you can access the IR port for

transmitter IR port close to the receiver IR port and
press ASC: the RF LED lights to confirm the channel
sync.
50. BATTERY COMPARTMENT
This is the battery compartment.
To operate the transmitter needs 2 type AA alkaline batteries.
NOTE: the transmitter is able to operate also with 2 Ni-MH
rechargeable batteries, but in this case the operating time is
less.
51. OFF STANDBY ON
ON/OFF switch. In STANBY position the transmitter is on but it
is muted: this position is useful in case you don’t want to hear the typical on/off click.
52. BATT LED

- 0dB is for normal talkers ;
- -10 dB is for screaming singers.

17
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONS
The use of the player and its remote control depends on the type of media
utilized. Some buttons are active or not active depending if an SD CARD, a USB
memory or a BLUETOOTH device is used to reproduce the audio files.
PLAY/PAUSE
This button plays or pauses the current audio file.

can quickly jump to a specific song corresponding to that number For example: 01filename.mp3, 02
filename.wma and so on.
ENTER
Pressing this button you enter in a sub-menu with the following options:
EQ PL AY MODE CHANGE DEVICE EXIT
Use the buttons to browse the options and to select an option.
