HOW TO GET STARTED WITH PROPELLA!

IMPORTANT: Read the Battery Safety Tips to ensure safe and proper use of your E-Bike battery. This

CHECK BATTERY LOCK AND STATUS
Press and hold the round button on top of the battery to check the battery level. When all four LED
lights turn on, the battery is fully charged.
WARNING: Ensure the battery is installed and locked prior to riding. An unlocked battery may
result in damage to the battery and injury.
To lock the battery: place the key in the slot and turn clockwise.
To unlock the battery: turn the key counter-clockwise, and slide the battery forward as illustrated
below.
Note: Extra keys are included in your package.
Safety Tip: Remove the battery when the bike is mounted on a bus or car bike rack.

ACTIVATE PEDAL-ASSIST (PASS)

What is Pedal-Assist (PASS)?
Pedal-Assist uses the battery and motor system to propel the bike and provides electric assist for
climbing hills or long commutes. You must pedal to activate the motor!
When PASS is turned off, the E-Bike rides like a traditional non-electric bicycle.
1. Press and hold the On/Off button on the LCD to turn on the system. At this point PASS is on
standby. [See illustration above]
WARNING: Once the LCD is on, rotating the pedals will activate the motor. Make sure you are
mounted on the bike and ready to ride.
2. The motor assist gently turns ON when you start pedalling.
3. The motor automatically turns OFF when you stop pedalling or apply the brakes.
4. You can control the amount of assist by using the +/- buttons.
Level “1” is a subtle assist, and level “5” provides the maximum power and speed. Motor’s top
speed is about 16.5 mph (27 kph).
5. To turn off PASS, lower the power level to “0”.
6. To turn off the system completely, press and hold the On/Off button on the LCD. The system
will automatically turn off after 3 minutes of inactivity.

LCD Display Hidden Features!
●Pressing and holding the “–“ (minus) button will activate the motor and gently accelerate the
bike at a low speed of around 2 mph.
●Pressing and holding the power and “+“ (plus) button together will activate the LCD backlight.
RECHARGE THE BATTERY
1. Plug the battery charger into a standard wall outlet and connect the cable to the battery.
[See illustration below] A red LED light on the charger indicates that charging is in progress.
2. A fully drained battery takes about 2.5 hours to recharge. A green LED light on the charger will
illuminate once the battery is fully charged.
3. Safety Tip: Unplug the charger once the battery is fully charged.
WARNING: Do not use unauthorized chargers to recharge the battery.
