IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING!
READ THIS USER GUIDE AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS
BEFORE USING YOUR PROPELLA ELECTRIC BIKE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE SAFETY
INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN SERIOUS PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, OR DAMAGE TO THE
PRODUCT ITSELF OR NEARBY PROPERTY.
1. Always wear a well-fitting helmet while riding your Propella Bike. A helmet is necessary to protect your head in
the event of a fall or collision. Failure to wear a helmet could result in serious personal injury or death.
2. Turn off the Propella Bike and disconnect the battery before doing any repair or maintenance work. When the
Propella Bike is turned on, rotating the pedals will activate the motor and spin the wheel. Failing to turn off
the Propella Bike before any repair or maintenance, could result in serious personal injury or death, or damage to
nearby property.
3. Ensure the battery pack is locked and secure before riding. An unlocked battery may detach from the bike
during ride which could result in personal injury, death, or damage to nearby property.
4. Use only the battery, battery charger unit, and charging cable provided with your Propella Bike. Do not use any
other adapter cables with your Propella Bike, unless you purchase it from Propella and you confirm that it is
intended for use specifically with your bike. Use of another battery charger unit or charging cable may lead your
battery to overheat or catch fire, which could result in serious personal injury, death, or damage to nearby property.
5. Do not burn, break, gouge, puncture, crush, drop, or otherwise damage your Propella Bike, battery, battery
charger unit, or charging cable. Damaging your Propella Bike or its battery, battery charger unit, or charging cable
may cause overheating, fire, explosion, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. or damage
to nearby property.
6. Do not immerse your Propella Electric Bike battery in liquid of any kind. Your Propella Bike’s battery is water
resistant and can be used to ride your bike outside in the rain, but the battery should not be immersed in water or
any other liquid. Dry your battery before storing and store your dry battery in a clean, dry environment. Immersing
your battery in liquid or storing it while wet could result in an electrical short circuit, and may cause fire, explosion,
or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death, or damage to nearby property.
7. Do not attempt to repair or modify the battery, charger unit, or any other electrical components of your Propella
Bike (except as described in warranty service instructions). Do not attempt to open or tamper with the battery pack,
or other electronic components (except as described in warranty service instructions), which could cause
overheating, fire, explosion, or smoking and could result in serious personal injury, death, or damage to nearby
property.
8. Keep small metal objects away from the battery pack. Small metal objects can come in contact with the battery
terminals and create a short circuit which will damage the battery, or may cause fire, explosion, or smoking, which
could result in serious personal injury or death, or damage to nearby property.
9. Do not get your battery charger unit or charging cable wet. The battery charger unit and charging cable are not
waterproof and are designed for indoor use only. Do not get them wet. Clean with a dry cloth only. If your battery
charger unit or charging cable gets wet, it could damage the battery pack, or result in an electrical short circuite.

10. Before riding, ensure all components of your Propella Bike are in good working order and all connections are
tight. Make sure the pedals and the front wheel quick-release are tight. Check the tire pressure and make sure the brakes
are in good working order. Riding a Propella Bike with loose wheels, connections, or brakes could result in serious
personal injury or death.
11. Do not over-inflate the tires on your Propella Electric Bike. The maximum tire pressure is shown on the tire
sidewalls. Overinflating the tires can result in tire puncture during ride which could result in serious personal injury or
death.
12. Stop using and turn off immediately if you suspect any part of your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit,
or charging cable is damaged. Inspect your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, and charging cable regularly. If
you notice any damage, punctures, deformation, leakage, discoloration, or other abnormalities, do not use your Propella
Bike or any of its accessories. Store damaged batteries outside. Contact Propella immediately. Continuing to use your
Propella Bike if any part is damaged may cause overheating, fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result
in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in other damage to your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit,
or charging cable, or nearby property.
13. Do not operate, charge, or store your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, or charging cable in locations
where the temperature may reach over 120°F (48°C). (See “Battery Safety Tips' ' section of this User Guide for
recommended operating and storage temperatures). Do not leave your Propella Bike battery in direct sunlight or inside of
a car in direct sunlight. Do not leave your battery near an open flame or heater. Do not cover your battery while charging.
Allowing your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, or charging cable to become too hot may cause overheating,
fire, explosion, electric shock, or smoking, which could result in serious personal injury or death. It could also result in
damage to your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, charging cable, or nearby property.
14. Keep your Propella Bike and all its components out of reach of children and pets. Your Propella Bike is not a toy.
Never allow children to play with or use your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, or charging cable, or
accessories. Your Propella Bike and its accessories contain small parts that may present a choking hazard. Allowing
children to access or play with your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, or charging cable could result in serious
personal injury to or death of the child. Failure to keep pets away from your Propella Bike, battery, battery charger unit, or
charging cable could result in the pet suffering serious injury or death.
15. Keep cords out of reach of children. Children can get tangled in charging cables, risking serious personal injury
or death by strangulation. Place cables at least three feet away from any crib, bassinet, play yard, or other safe sleep
environment.
16. Do not use a Propella Electric Bike if you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device. Propella Bike
batteries and other electrical components emit electromagnetic waves that could interfere with pacemakers or other
implanted medical devices. Interference with a pacemaker or other implanted medical device could cause the device to
malfunction and result in serious personal injury or death.
