WheninOFFmode,theprogrammedmistingcycleswillnotinitiate.HoweverpressingtheSTARTMISTbutton
onthecontrollerwhilethetimerisinOFFmodewillinitiateamanualmistingcycle.Additionally,theRemote
ControlStart/Stopbuttonswillinitiate/stopamistcyclewhilethetimerisOFFmode.NOTE:Holdtheremote
controlstopbuttondownfor2secondstostopthecurrentmist.
WheninONmode,amistcyclewillinitiateaftera2seconddelay.TimermustbereturnedtoAUTOmodefor
theprogrammedmistcyclestocontinue.NOTE:TheSTARTMISTbuttononthecontrollerandremotecontrol
arethepreferredmethodsforinitiatinganunprogrammedmist.

2.SPRAYWANDTOGGLE‐Thisisonlyutilizedwith
anOPTIONALSprayGun.Intheabsenceofthe
OPTIONALSprayGunfeatureithasno
functionalityandcanbeineithertheONorOFF
position.
3.AGITATIONDURATION‐Purgestrappedairfromthepumpheadandagitatesthesolutioninthetankpriortoamist
cycle.Therecommendedamountofagitationdurationfora55gallontankis15seconds.NOTE:Theminimum
amountoftimetopurgetrappedairfromthepumpheadis5seconds.
4.MISTDURATION–Isusedtosetthelengthofthemistcycle.Thesuggestedlengthofeachmistcycleisbetween30‐
45seconds.Eachnozzleisdesignedtomist1.5ouncesofsolutionperminute.
5.STARTMISTBUTTON–Isusedtoinitiateanunprogrammed(ormanual)mistcycle.PressingtheStartMistButton
doesnotalteranyoftheprogrammedmistcycles.
6.BATTERYSTATUSBUTTON–IsusedtocheckthebatterystatuswhenunitisNOTplugged‐inandisutilizingstored
batterypower.
Allfourlightslit(2red,1yellow,1green)–systemisfullyfunctioning.NOTE:All4lightsilluminateddoesnot
meanthatsystemisfullycharged.
Threelightslit(2red,1yellow)–batteryisgettinglowandneedstoberechargedsoon.Systemwillmistupto2
moretimeswiththeselightsilluminated,butbatteryshouldberechargedsoon.
Onelightlit(1red)‐lowvoltagedisconnectwillinitiatecausingsystemtonolongermistuntilbatteryis
recharged.
Nolightsareilluminated–systemwillnotmist.NOTE:Itisimportanttorechargebatteryoncealllightsgoout
tomaintainbatterylife.
BATTERYMAYBEPLUGGEDINCONTINUOUSLYWITHOUTLOSINGBATTERYCAPACITYORHARMINGTHEBATTERY

SYSTEMSETUP
Oncethenozzlecircuithasbeeninstalledandconnectedtothesystem,thesystemneedstobepurgedandtested
beforefillingitwithinsecticide.
Fillthetankabouthalfwaywithtapwater.DONOTADDINSECTICIDE
TurnthePressureControlValveonthebackoftheenclosure(#5inphotoabove)allthewayclockwise.
Gotothelastnozzleinthecircuit(ornozzlesifyouTee’doffintodifferentruns)andremovethenozzletip(s)by
unscrewingitfromtheadapter.
Topurgetheairoutofthesystem,settheAgitateDurationto15secondsandtheMistDurationto90seconds.
PresstheStartMistbutton.Aftertheagitationperiodthesystemwillstartmisting.Waterandairwillcomeout
oftheopennozzle(s).PresstheStartMistbuttonasmanytimesasittakestogettheairoutofthelinessothat
thewaterrunsfreelywithoutsputtering.
Oncethewaterisrunningwithoutairsputteringandthecurrentmistcyclehasended,screwthenozzletip(s)
backon.
AtthesystemturnthePressureControlValveabouthalfwaybetweenopenandclosed.
Pressthestartmistbuttonandaftertheagitationcycleends,beginturningthePressureControlValveclockwise
toincreasepressure.
Stopwhenthepressuregetsbetween200‐250psi.
Ifthepressuredoesnotgetthathigh,therecouldbeseveralreasons:
oTubingisloose–checkeveryconnectionwheretubinggoesintoafittingandmakesurewaterisnot
leakingoutorairisnotbeingsuckedin.Itisimperativethatthetubingispushedinandswiftlypulled
outtolockitinplace.
oToomanynozzlesonalinearrun–themostoptimumrunisaloopedrun,itstartsattheNozzleCircuit
QuickConnectfittingontheenclosureandloopsbackaroundtoteeintothesameconnection.ATee’d
circuitworkswelltoo,justmakesurethereisanequalnumberofnozzlesoneachofthemainruns.A
linearruncancausethepressuretogodowniftherearetoomanynozzlesontoolongofrunoftubing.
Oncethepressureisset,pourintheinsecticideandcontinuefillingthetankwithtapwater.

MISTINGTIMES
Onatypicalinstallation,setAgitateDurationfor15secondsandtheMistDurationfor45seconds.Mistatduskandat
dawn,andthenanadditionalmistaround10pm.Itwilltakeacoupledaystogetcontrolofyouryardinitiallyand
sometimesafterabigrainandbreedingcycle.Usetheremotecontroltomistinbetweenscheduledmists.

LovettIndustries,LLCdbaSolarInsectSystems(SIS)warrantsthisProduct,tobefreefromdefectsinmaterialand
workmanshipasfollows:
Foraperiodofthree(3)yearsfromthedateofpurchase(whetherornotactualusebeginsonthatdate),SISwill
repairorreplacedefectiveelectronicparts,andforaperiodofone(1)yearSISwillrepairorreplacedefective
batteryand/orbatterychargerwithneworrefurbishedparts,atitsoption,atnocharge.Thiswarrantydoesnot
includelabororothercostsincurredfordiagnosing,removing,installing,shipping,servicingorhandlingofeither
defectivepartsorreplacementparts.Additionallywarrantydoesnotapplytonozzlecircuitorfittings.
ThiswarrantyappliessolelytoequipmentsuppliedbySISandisinlieuofallotherwarranties,expressedor
implied.Noperson,agent,dealer,ordistributorisauthorizedorempoweredtogiveanyotherwarrantyorto
assumeanyotherliabilityonbehalfofSolarInsectSystems.
