1Safety Information
Device Safety
Do not text and drive.
Do not expose it to water, sand, fuel chemicals or
moisture to avoid damage.
Keep carefull record of accounts, passwords or any
other security information to avoid loss of use of the
device.
Battery Safety
Install the battery gently not using force or pressure
If any liquid in the batteries goes into the eyes or skin,
do not rub and immediately rinse the eyes with clear
water and go to the hospital for treatment.
Do not use or place the batteries near high
temperature elements, sunlight or fire.
If battery overheats, changes color, or form during
use, charging, or storage, stop using it and replace it
with a new battery.
Do no let the battery get wet to avoid damage.
For better performance do not use the device before
having it charged completely. Optimal performance is
usually achieved after the first three or fours charge

cycles.
Please have in mind that overcharging may affect the
life of the battery.
Do not dispose old batteries with normal waste and do
not throw them in a fire, to avoid exploding. Follow
environmental guidelines and regulations.
Misstreatment will cause the battery to leak, overheat,
crack and catch fire.
Charging your Slim Note
When you connect the charger to the Slim note, make
sure the tip of the charger is inserted gently into the
Slim Note socket and in the proper side and position
to avoid damage.
When connected properly the battery level indicator
flashes on the screen, even if the Slim note has been
turned off, the charging image still appears,
indicating that the battery is being charged. If the
battery was drained completely, it may take longer for
the indicator to appear on the screen and begin
charging.
The battery level indicator will show 100% or closer
below when the battery is full and it will advise
charging has been completed. The charging process
usually takes 3 to 4 hours, and if during this process,

the battery, or the charger gets warm, it is a normal
phenomenon.
Upon the completion of charging, disconnect the
charger from both AC power outlet, and Slim note.
During charging, the Slim note must be placed in
well-ventilated environment. Using improper charger
might cause damage and invalidate the warranty.
Make sure the battery has been installed before
charging and do not remove it while charging.
Please connect it only to 110 volts AC. The use of any
other voltage will cause battery leakage, fire and
cause damage to the Slim Note and charger.
Do not short circuit the charger, or expose to water to
avoid damage or electrical shock.
Cleaning and maintenance
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the Slim note, battery
and charger.
Please do not use alcohol, thinner, benzene or other
solvents to wipe the Slim Note.

2Getting Started
Appearance and Key Functions
Icons
In the standby mode, the following icons may appear
in standby screen:

Key explanations
In this guide, “press the key” refers to pressing and
thereafter releasing a key. “Hold down a key” refers to
pressing a key and keeping it depressed for 2 seconds or
longer.
The descriptions and functions of keys depend on the
model of your Slim Note.

Using the touchscreen
Your Slim Note provides many touch keys in the Main
screen. Meanwhile please follow this instructions:
Do not touch the screen with wet hands.
Do not touch the screen applying force or pressure.
Do not touch the screen with any metallic or
conductive object.

On the lower edge of the Slim Note indicated by the Arrow,
apply soft pressure with your nail and the back lid cover
will pop down, allowing you to remove it from the device
and would allow you to see the inside part.
Sim Cards Insertion

Sim Card tray 1

Pull or push the metal handle towards the lower part of the
Slim Note to open the Simcard tray 1
Insert SimCard in Slots 1 and / or 2 as needed, considering
the proper position, where in simcard 1 the gold
connectectors would be facing up and on the tray 2 facing
down.
Insert external Micro SD memory card, push the simcard 1
tray to storage condition as it was before pulling the
handle.
You would be able then to install back the battery and
close the back lid cover of the Slim Note.
Please be sure to do this procedure carefully and gently to
avoid damage of the Slim Note.
Turning your Slim Note on and off
To turn on the Slim Note, hold down the POWER key
on the right side; to turn off the Slim note, hold down
the POWER key.
If you have turned on your Slim Note without
inserting the SIM card, the Slim note will prompt you
to install the SIM card. With the SIM card already
inserted, your Slim Note automatically verifies the
availability of the SIM Card.
Then, the screen shows the following:

oEnter PIN1 —— if your have set the SIM card
password.
oEnter Slim note password —— if you have
set your Slim note password
oSearch for network——
othe Slim note searches for the appropriate
network.
3Call Functions
Making a call
When the logo of network service provider appears on the
screen, you can make or answer a call. The bars at the
upper left corner of the screen indicate the intensity of
the network signal.
Quality conversation is significantly affected by obstacles,
so moving within a small area while making or answering
a call can improve the quality conversation. The Call menu
is only visible during an active call, and features such as
Call Waiting, Call Diverting, and Multiple-party Call are
network dependent. Contact your network service
provider if you need help.

4Notifications Bar
The notifications bar is the upper top line of the Slim Note,
and would contain valuable information for the user:
When you slide it down it will bring to you a list of the
various notifications for applications in the phone and a
new icon on the top right side.
Pushing this icon a menu would be shown on the main
interface.

5Keyboard and Text Imput
The smart keyboard is set to language and options in the
Settings Menu, which we will explain later, but the
functionality is explained here as follows:
Whenever you tap on a an application box which requires
text or numbers, this smart keyboard will pop up on the
screen
The keypad provides the functions of spelling prediction,
spelling correction and learning while using.
The smart keypad may give you prompts of correct
spelling, depending on which application you are using

and what settings you have set up for it.
Enter text procedure:
Tap the text box (memo, or new contact) to call the
keypad.
Tap the keys on keypad.
At the initial stage, you can tap keys using either of your
index fingers. Once you get familiar with the keypad, you
can try tapping keys using both of your thumbs.
While tapping a key, the corresponding letter will appear
above your thumb or another finger. If you are tapping a
wrong key, you may slide to the correct one. Only when
your tapping finger leaves a key, can the corresponding
letter be entered in the text box.
