Read First:
• Select a mounting position under the piano. The further towards the tail of the piano you stay the better
the forward sound projection will be better.
• If the Q36 front mount is centered on the timber face, the speaker will be centered as well. You will want
to keep the mount closer to the bottom edge of the timber to allow the front of the Q36 to be angled
downward up to 10 degrees. You will need to determine how much of the front end speaker case you
can allow to hang below the timber.
• Placing the Q36 front mount flush with the front edge of the timber will cause about 1-1/2” of overhang
of the front end of Q36. The rear of Q36 will be closer to the soundboard and will not hang below most
timbers.
Your goal is to aim the front drivers toward and under the keybed area to allow best sound projection. If you
imagine a line drawn from the center of the Q36 you can visualize where the sound will impact in the room,
• Place the Q36 front mount on the piano timber with the mount slot facing forward.
• Pilot drill the timber at the 2 mount screw hole positions.
• Install the mount using the two included #8 x 3/4”screws and flat washers. Be sure to leave enough space
at the rear of the Q36 to get the rear mount screws installed.

the mount slot.
Please note, The Q36 audio system
has been designed with a coaxial
driver configuration. The drivers
are open air for unimpeded sound
performance. Avoid grabbing the
Q36 by the front drivers. Use care
not to damage the drivers with
tools or by careless handling.
