SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
-Do not overload. Overloading could result in loss of load and/or personal injury or property damage.
-Always use crane on hard level surface capable of sustaining the load. Never use the hoist on an uneven floor surface as
this could result in the crane tipping over.
-Always lock the legs and jib in position before lifting a load.
-The nuts and bolts supplied with the hoist are all high strength and should not be substituted for inferior types.
-Before each use ensure that all nuts and bolts are correctly fitted and tight.
-Never exceed the safe working loads indicated on the jib.
-Never work directly under a suspended engine.
-Do not drop load suddenly as resulting shock to unit may cause damage.
-Failure to follow these instructions could result in loss of load and/or personal injury or property damage.

The warnings, cautions and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot cover a possible conditions and situations that
may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product
but must be supplied by the operator.
INSPECTION
-Visual inspection should be made before each use of the engine crane.
-Any engine crane which appears to be damaged in any way is found to be badly worn or operated abnormally must be
removed from service.
-If the engine crane is accidentally subjected to an abnormal load or shock it must be inspected by the manufacturer
immediately.
-It is recommended that an annual inspection of the engine crane be made and that any defective parts, decals or warning
labels be replaced with manufacturer’s specified parts.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Waring: During the assembly procedure, nuts and bolts should be hand
tightened only. When assembly is complete, nuts and bolts must be fully
tightened.
1. Attach two 3½” swivel castors (#9) and two 3”swivel castors (#10) to
base frame using bolts (#21), nuts (#30) and lock washers (#31).
2. Referring to the spare parts drawing, insert two legs (#4) into the base
(#1) and lock the legs in place using four locking pins (#5). Secure
these in place using four split-type pins (#7).
3. Attach the main post (#3) to the base assembly (#1) using bolts (#19),
nuts (#25) and flat washers (#24).
4. Now secure the boom (#2) to the main post (#3) using bolt (#15), nut
(#23) and flat washer (#24).
5. Attach support straps (#6) to top of main post using bolt (#16), nut
(#23) and flat washer (#24).
6. Attach support straps (#6) to the base using bolts (#14), nuts (#23)
and flat washers (#24)
7. Connect bottom of ram unit (#11) to main post (#3) using bolt (#17),
nut (#23) and flat washer (#24).
8. While helper holds boom up connect top of hydraulic ram to boom
using bolt (#18), nut (#23) and flat washer (#24).
9. Slide boom extension (#13) into the main boom (#2), secure in one of
the four positions using bolt (#19), nut (#25) and flat washer (#26).
10. Tighten all nuts and bolts.

OPERATION
Warning: This long arm jack is designed for lifting purposes only –not for supporting loads. Do not load beyond its rated capacity.
It is possible that air has got into the hydraulic system, causing poor lifting performance. Purge any air from the system by fully
opening release valve (turn handle counterclockwise) then while holding the boom down operate pump handle rapidly several times.
TO RAISE LOAD –Close release valve by turning ram bleeder CLOCKWISE to a SNUG-TIGHT position (DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN).
Front legs must always be locked in down position before applying load and/or raising boom.
TO LOWER LOAD –Open release valve by turning handle COUNTERLCOSKWISE very slowly. The speed of lowering the load
is controlled by how much you turn the handle.
Boom must be in fully lowered position before raising legs. Legs must never be raised when crane is carrying load. Legs must
be locked in place when raised.
WARRANTY CONDITIONS
1. P.W. TECHSAM Woch Sp. J. with its registered office in Poland at Lublin, 131 Warszawska Av. guarantees the highest quality of
Quatros tools and workshop equipment. Warranty period for products is 12 months from purchase date excluding batteries being
part of tools for which warranty period is 6 months from purchase date.
2. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear of spare parts or any damage caused by improper maintenance (including
overloading of tool, using power tools with hand-operated tools, inefficient thread greasing etc.).
3. Complaint shall be filed at place where the tool was bought.
4. Faulty tool or equipment is repaired or replaced in 14 days from date of its receive unless additional expertise written by
manufacturer or expert is needed or replaced tool/part has to be delivered from manufacturer or unexpected occurrence like flood,
conflagration, strike, natural disease, embargo, break in production etc. takes place.
5. In case of sets warranty is limited to repair or replacement only complained part of the set, not whole set.
6. Due to specific working conditions this warranty does not apply to:
-hand-operated bits and socket bits, power bits and power socket bits,
-screwdrivers if type of damage is caused by using with inappropriate screw size or overloading.
